I'm sure being forced to play as a human male would blow over perfectly well...
Kieren is a dwarfling dammit!
yet had more personality than hawke and the inquisitor
The personality you invented for the Warden completely, yet refuse to do so for Hawke and the Inquisitor.
And no, the voice acting is largely irrelevant given that even a static tone per dialogue option can be interpreted in many ways and adapted to fit your character.
Well... unless you're allying with the mages. My Inquisitor is too enthusiastic for that bit T_T
The inquisition as an organisation is just so bland. It is the James Milner of secretive organisations, the wardens are more akin to George Best.
Read the War table operations. If you still think it's bland, then I think you may be expecting too much.
Kieren is a dwarfling dammit!
Well...basically a short human, then. Or a tall dwarf. However you interpret it. :S
Still kinda miffed he looks the same no matter who the father was. I was expecting a dopey-faced little Theirin kid.

Morrigan's alleles are dominant obviously. ![]()
Morrigan's alleles are dominant obviously.
Evidently so.
I'll just headcanon that Morrigan magically suppressed every single thing Alistair would have passed over somehow, just so she wouldn't have to look at a kid who reminded her of him every single day. :S
Magically.

I don't even know where I stand on whether the Warden should appear or not.
All I really want is some closure on the Warden's curing the Calling quest, and for them to stop using Leliana every game so I can just happilly believe she's off with her and be done with that.

What made the DA:O Warden better than the Inqus and Hawk was the more open ended dialog system DA:O had. The moment Bioware adapted the conversation wheel, is the moment the player lost most if not all of the connection to the character. Because you are now choosing from less than a handful of canned responses based on three or four canned archetypes that a lot of the time do not reflect who you are as a person or your personality.

That's pretty much my thoughts on it all.
I love my Warden more than any of my other characters so far, I'll admit, but I enjoy the new protagonist every game formula and hope they continue with it. I just want them to be done with this 'arc' of characters now that we're going north so I can safely leave it behind and enjoy the new one. As of now, people that are close to her being thrust into important roles while she apparently doesn't exist anymore just makes me get stuck on my Warden again.
*snip*
Man this made me miss Shepard Q___Q

I enjoy the new protagonist in every Dragon Age game, and Thedas has more than enough room for heroes/villains, but I really want some closure on the Warden's curing the Calling quest. A cameo appearance like Hawke would be nice, but I'd like to see some closure for the Warden above all. I don't know why some people get the notion that people who prefer the Warden wants their warden to be protagonist of every Dragon Age games.
Hmm... hadn't seen it totally brought up yet, but...
We'll probably never physically see the Warden again, but what if the next protagonist was... the OGB? Like us playing as Morrigan's child or something. Wouldn't be too far of a stretch; a few years after DAI the OGB would be of adulthood, and even if the Warden didn't do the Dark Ritual, I'm sure Morrigan had some sort of contingency plan if the Warden refused.
I did not look at and listen to Morrigan's son and think, "I sure hope I get to play as him when he grows up". ![]()
Maybe what we need is a memorable backstory and main theme for our characters in the next game as they were in Origins...
I'll sure never forget the biography of my Cousland, Mahariel, Cadash and many others.

This as well.
The wheel fells limited and confining. It's like our character can only shift between 3 moods: calm, witty or angry. I mean wtf.
Looking in retrospect, however, some of those dialog lines from DA:O didn't really spawn such a wild-ranged collection of answers from our companions as we may think. Many lines once selected elicited the very same reaction as another one with similar meaning. Others even shortened the whole dialog and made it far less interesting.
Nevertheless, that system was undoubtedly more rewarding, for it gave us the illusion of choosing from a rich assortment of dialog options, making it possible to reload many scenes and try them in different ways, rendering it possible to play multiple games with the same character. Can the same be said about DA:I? Perhaps, but i'm not too convinced...
That's pretty much my thought as well.

I go even further. Although I like the DA protagonists, but I have an affection for my Warden and outstanding issues which in my opinion were not resolved. I said on various topics on the Warden, as Bioware does not want to make him appear, at least give a worthy final, saying that he is on a mission only keep the hopes alive and if it is not used for anything, it is better to kill the character. (for those who are alive )
I miss her but leaved them unvoiced. That's what makes the warden special. ![]()
We all miss him

Well, he can be dopey-faced.
Although his expression is so blank here he is more likely to be the Warden's son...
