WORST REBOOT IN HUMAN HISTORY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone has the power to stop this film from being made, please do anything and everything to prevent this unholy Hollywood abomination from ruining life as we know it.

Meh.

One member of the cast passed away, one went crazy and starred in Yogi Bear, and the other two don't care anymore.
We will never have them back in uniform.

The 360 game is more than good enough for me for a continuation. My indifference knows no bounds here.

Ruining your childhood memories... will happen for 80th times because of greed and careless selections.

The second someone says ruin and childhood in the same sentence their opinion isn't worth spit.

People need to stop recycling that phrase. Come up with something new. Be an innovator!

The ghost catching mechanic was fun and the script was pretty good. I won't say it was one of the best games ever but it's worth a look.

I think the Nostalgia Critic already summed up the sentiment that most people associate with "Ruined my childhood" in three single words;

Bat Credit Card.

Ghostbusters 3: The Game was probably the best place to stop. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but the game was worthwhile.

Of things to reboot for a full fledged movie, this would not have been on the top of my list.

*Cough*

I don't get the hate. It's not a reboot, it's a movie in the same universe. We have a bunch of female comedians instead of a bunch of male comedians. I'm prepared to give it a shot and see if they can bring a new perspective. There seems to be an irrational fear of cooties in the reaction to this.

I loved Ghostbusters as a kid. All of it. The movies--yes, even the painfully inferior sequel. The cartoons--including that modernized remake with a crew of young adults taking over with Egon as mentor. The old toys. When I went to Universal Studios in my teens, I went out of my way to watch their Ghostbusters show despite their being far more exciting looking attractions all over the place. I even bothered to finish the crappy NES game based on Ghostbusters II. Several times. Because of craziness.

I should have every reason to hate this. Except for an inability to muster up enough passion to care. I will watch this when it hits cable. If I like it, great. If I hate it, meh. Either way we are talking about Ghostbusters here. The second I start taking Ghostbusters dead serious is the second I am clearly doing it wrong.

Your childhood memories:

Gone to cinemas to watch just released movies

Playing on recently released consoles

My childhood memories:

Got VHS movies that are 5-10 years old as gifts

Playing on the previous generation consoles

I don't know about the other actresses but I personally never found Melissa McCarthy very funny. The last film I saw with her in it was Identity Thief, and I did not find her role enjoyable.

In fact, despite the movie being a very lackluster comedy (IMO), I did not sympathize with her character at all and really wished Jason Bateman's character would have ended up having her arrested.

I once got a gamestation(which is essentially a Sega Genesis) for Christmas instead of a Playstation. Lol everyone else was playing tekken but we were broke af. No matter, I did kick ass in Mortal Kombat 2 tho. There was a market where people would play mortal kombat for money lol.

I don't really get the big deal about 80s comedies. Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, they're just movies to me, and not very good ones at that.

I thaught it was Rape your childhood.

honestly i always wanted a Ghostbuster who was female but this.. nah. it smells of pndering to  the Tumbler generation to me.

Id have been happy whith a mixed cast myself. but you know you will never see any flawed female characters you will never get a female Egon who is so obsesed whith her work she misses the attempts at being hit on.

os a Venkman usedcar salesman type.

Hell you dont see the Female comedy idiot these days.

Can't you see? They're my [90s] childhood memories.

Again... Don't destroy our childhood memories.
