As I have read on different forums and posts about it, in Saints Row GooH you can import your Saints Row IV save file so the Boss in the Cutscenes be your made boss. And also I have read in quotes of the devs and other people that "a save file made during the white house mission works for importing into the game" and as have been saved, it can be either manual or auto. So, I tried in the beginning of the white house mission, in the middle and at its end, also at the beginning of that simluation. According to the devs, game automatically detects your saves and you can not manually import it. But nothing happens and my boss in the game is still the default one. I have located SR4 save files and there are there. But as I said, nothing happens. Any help in importing the save would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I have no ideas on how to correct this. Apologies. :/ My SR4 Boss imported into GooH without a hitch. It just read my most recent post endgame SR4 save. Out of curiosity, do you have cloud sync enabled? I have no idea how importing with GooH works precisely, but maybe the data is being pulled from the cloud and not your PC? Wild guess on my part. Wish I had a reliable suggestion to give.

Thanks. I dont even know what the cloud sync is. Is it in SR4? I will check it out and enable/disable it to see if it correct it.

It's part of Steam itself. Essentially a service some games use to upload your save data to a server where it can downloaded from again if you log into your Steam account from another computer without that data. I've never fiddled with it myself, but I expect there's an option somewhere in Steam's settings. Note I have no idea if this has any bearing on your issue. Wild guess like I wrote before. :/

Then you would be suprised to hear I don`t have steam and play it offline without steam. Thanks anyway.

Just finished it. And it was really a cool expansion. I was stock between choosing a new homeworld or a new start, which can be a reboot of the series imo. I went for the reboot as I wanted to see it take place on earth, and because I adore earth and want man vs man not man vs alien.

Thanks for the feedback, I have been on the fence on GooH but I think I would just rather wait for SR5.  The ending sounds interesting but I think they said SR5 was going to be a fresh start for the series so the reboot option is probably the Canon ending (like how saving Shandi and Burt Renolds is the Canon ending of SR3)

There were five options in total:

- Reuniting Gat with Aisha in heaven.

- Reigning as the new King of Hell.

- Finding a new homeworld for the Saints and remnants of humanity on the Xin mothership.

- Recreating the universe so the Saints never existed.

- Telling Gat all the secrets of the universe.

I originally went with finding a new homeworld. That ending comes off as a proper continuation of SR4. In my opinion it is as likely as a reboot. Previously Volition devs made it sound like SR4 would be the last Saints game they made. Then we got GooH. Given that, I am beginning to think we may actually see a sequel now. In my opinion the reboot ending does not feel as logical from a storytelling perspective as what I went with, or the King of Hell ending.

Gat is rewritten as a police lieutenant with Kinzie and Matt being what I assume are detectives working under him. A reboot, I can believe. A reboot where former Saints are now police officers, not so much. It could be interesting to play on the other side instead of running a gang, but to me that seems to run even more contrary to SR than space aliens.

Then again, who knows... could happen. One of Gat's in-game idle comments is about how he sometimes feels tired of the same old same old and wishes he could start everything over and live another life. Also how he would never tell any of this to The Boss. If nothing else the hints are there if Volition wants to pursue it.

I just wish they made their intentions clear in the narrative if this is the route they want to take. If SR reboots I will always feel this story never had a proper finale. I would have preferred they stopped at SR4 which had a perfectly acceptable series ending than release GooH at all.

Having never played a SR game, I swear... every conversation I've ever had about this game has me scratching my head and saying "what in h3ll is this game about?"

So far, my only answer has been "giant purple dildos as a weapon."

Exactly my line of thoughts.

About the endings, I know. For Gat to make the decision, A new homeworld and maybe him Reuniting with Aisha would work. As a player, The new homeworld and the retcon and the hll thing would make sense. For a direct sequel, not a reboot, the new homeworld makes sense. But it will move the game further away from its originality. As for a reboot, the retcon makes sense.

As for my opinion, I say a reboot where Saints are now good guys maybe or a secret division inside cops or police or something like that,  or just t a department or a group of cops are good. I personally want to experience a SR or GTA game in the good guy uniform. Not a gang. It would be interesting to see how it turns out. And like seeing the Boss become a rookie in police dpartment and mov up the ranks to something like swat commander or special forces commander or something like that.

Have not played SR1&2. If anyone has a link where I can download them I will appreciate it.

SHAUNDI

BTW, I could`nt figure out who the girl they have captured is in the retcon ending. But my guess is she was Shaundi?

P.S I remember for DAO and DA2, pactehs would be accessible to download here on BSN. IS there any link or place or something like that for DAI too so I can download any updates (if available right now) manually?

I recommend getting it. Game is MUCH fun and awesome. And I go so far to say it is much better than SR4, although it is shorter. It is awesome. Everything. And man, it is full of lolz. I dont say anything about it cause it will spoil it.

It is pretty good. Better than I expected going into it. I enjoyed SR4 more overall, but I got a little over forty hours out of GooH grinding achievements. Definitely walked away satisfied. Fair bit of fan service for long time SR players too. And of course, some ridiculous craziness that might give you a laugh. XD

Flying around is also pretty sweet. Much more fun than SR4's super jumping and gliding.

I am not surprised in the least. Very hard to pin down an answer to that question. Every SR is an arc unto itself that would require its own explanation. In broad strokes you could say the protagonist's rise to power, but I feel that oversimplifies things.

SR1 was kinda sorta a little bit like that, except not really.
