That was freaking awesome.
I couldn't help but notice he never shot 12 at the same time though, therefore Thornton & Hall > Lars.

I bet a charging Venatari soldier would still block all his shots like a proThat was freaking awesome.

He can shoot fast though, no one can deny that.

The first time I watched it I thought it was awesome. The second time I was actually paying attention to how bogus all the trick shots were and how incredibly inaccurate the historical 'facts' were.

I am wondering,if saying "Don’t bring knife bow to a gunfight" applies here?

Please show me your source information, I'd like to drink from your fountain of knowledge ![]()
If I saw this as a kid I would now be an archer....
or dead.
I thought it was damn impressive though. And he's Danish. Practically my neighbour.

They should cripple and bleed. They should only poison them if the thief places poison on the caltrops.

I would call BS on him grabbing an arrow shot at him, but other than that (as well as a ton of trick shots) I didn't see anything blatantly wrong with it. I've never been a fan of the back quiver since it seems as if it would take more time to draw the bow than if you were using a belt quiver.
I never considered archers actually holding arrows in their hands while they're shooting, but that may be because I viewed those old illustrations as being more figurative than literal. Hollywood (as well as other sources) has really "ruined" the way we view medieval combat with melee and ranged weapons.

Has only been posted around on this forum a dozen times ...
Take everything you see in that video with a shipload of salt. We don't see how many attempts he made until he got it right, we don't know what draw weight and length the bows he used have and the neat "but it still pierces armor" scene doesn't show what bow he used and the actual chainmail and gambeson is of unknown quality.
Nice trick shots though.

Stop over analyzing. He's doing cool stuff very few people can. I certainly have a different view on the bow now. Grab a coke and enjoy ![]()
Hollywood has ruined a lot of things, they are not known for being historically correct either with their own or other countries history and events. Shame that, as a lot of people simply assume that whatever they see in a movie on historical events is correct. Also, history is usually only told by the "victor" which means you only get one side of the story. Oh, and dont believe anything you hear on FOX news.
