Why the heck wasn't Michael Beattie rehired for ME3?

Well, if he did then I suppose he shot himself in the foot, proverbially speaking.  ME3 didn't have that much Mordin in it, so expecting more money or a higher rate for less Mordin conversation doesn't make sense to me.  Maybe he though he had them by the cojones and it backfired on him.

Actors and higher ups do not talk about money much, agents do. Perhaps his agetns got greedy or he found Beattie a more lucrative job in the same timetable. I highly doubt VA in a videogame seems like an important part from the agent's point of view.

Yeah, it was really weird. They got back EVERY OTHER major VA in the series, including the likes of Sheen, but they couldn't get back Beattie? Wat.

Yeah, I believe Priestly on this one, Beatties agent got greedy.

Maybe it was some sort of meta-commentary about how much Mordin changed as a character?

Old Mordin could sing like an angel.

Priestly did answer, and this was while he was still working for Bioware. But of course the easy thing to do is pile up on the Bioware hate.

I'm still waiting for the source of this.

The ones who know the reasons best will not be telling us, as they shouldn't.  There could be 101 reasons why he was not asked back, other than just money.
