Do most of you guys have a Dragon Bone Armor set and Weapon? Looks like the best Armor rating is 306? Best Weapon Damage in the low 300s as well if you use Dragon Bone. Does this sound right?

It's the only T4 metal. For staffs it only adds +2 base damage and it's fire, so I avoid it. For everything else, yeah.

Well... It's worth picking if you wanted a fire staff.... Plus it's a much nicer colour than dawnstone
But yeah, +2 damage is really not worth switching to if you didn't want a fire staff to begin with.

Yeah I meant damage for 2H weapons. I still think it's funny that a dagger can inflict more damage in this game than a phuqing Axe, Maul, or Greatsword.

That's true; I should have mentioned that I typically use a Fire Mine build, so having both Fire Mine and Energy Barrage be the same damage type is a no-no.

Dps is different from damage. Aoe different from single target, etc etc. Beyond which daggers are used on a rogue who are essentially trained to pinpoint weakspots. Rogues essentially launch either devastating vital strikes or flurries of smaller quick strikes. Thus it is not really "funny," it is normal. Beyond which from a game balance perspective, rogues are almost always going to out damage a warrior. They are squishy, fast, and damaging while even a dps warrior has some bulk and often has emphasis on good damage with decent tank instead of the devastating damage but next to no tank of rogues. I mean it is kind of basic rpg balancing.
On that note the way in which swords are used by warriors in most games drives me insane. Swords are not weapons of raw strength, they are weapons of strength AND skill. You do not make slow, wide swings trying to cleave through x enemies. They wield it like a blunt instrument and... ugh. That is what I find "funny" about weapons in this game and others; funny in this case meaning ridiculous and idiotic.

dps and damage are different things. Can't always go by dps, especially when weapons have enchantments that add to dps but only for situational enemies. Daggers hit much faster than two handed weapons. Even so, I hear dual daggers arent really OP anyways.

I'm on my first playthrough of the game so admittedly haven't tried any other weapon types/fighting styles yet ... but am having no trouble at all shredding through anything I come across as a dual-dagger rogue. Including soloing dragons with daggers.

I wish I hadn't made that stupid dragon bone helmet. Cost me 4 pieces and I don't even wear it. Oh well, I won't make that mistake next time. As far as dagger rogues go.....never liked em. 2H all the way. I wish they could have done a Barbarian type spec instead of Reaver.
