Dear Bioware,

thanks for giving us "what we asked for", all the bard songs. sadly, we didn't ask for bard songs.

DAI4.jpg

we asked for game fixes.

but priorities are priorities, right?

not gonna bother with you or your games ever again. no, not even ME4 unless it's so good i'm liable to get an orgasm every ten minutes of gameplay.

definitely not yours, truly,

a fed-up paying customer.

Hey, the songs are great! I liked the enchanter one and the one about the girl who can only use her bow and is otherwise useless in life ;)

I'm not sure how relevant the release of the bard songs is regarding the technical issues players may or may not be having, whichever platform they happen to be using.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but the songs are great and I'm glad they released them while they are working on fixing the game with patches.

What would your priority be if you were a dev, releasing patches for the people who can't play or have huge playability issues or releasing a bard songs DL?

It's not like releasing the songs (and they are awesome I have to add) distracted them from patching the game.

That's not the point. I simply don't see why doing the latter somehow impacts progress of the former. There is no reason whatsoever to believe that either action has any consequence on the other at all.

Well, I beg to differ. I see every reason to believe that they don't prioritize addressing several issues people have been clamoring for. But it's OK, you don't have to agree.

LOL :P nice trolling. Just about the only thing that made me LOL today. Thanks for that.

In any case though, you don't have to take my criticism. Just visit the link in my signature. You'll see other peoples' criticism there as well. Have fun!

For the record, I don't agree with what BioWare has been fixing. There's a great deal of problems they should've dealt with before even considering the exploits that they approached in the last patch, including the numerous last-gen issues.

But... releasing the bard's songs? How is that related to patching, exactly? Honest question.

On the other hand, I would be pissed off as well if I purchased a broken version of the game for the last gen. Which is why I skipped right away to next gen.

Happy to make someone laugh :). I don't think this would actually distract from the patch, as all one would need to do would be uploading the mp3 files

I'll answer this one seriously. Even if it's completely unrelated at all, even if no resources have been taken from the "patching/fixing" and transferred to the production of this, it is at the very least completely crass, provocative and insulting to make such a disclaimer. "Here's what you asked for." It's demeaning, yet another example of the manner by which we, us complaining customers, have been treated so far. Now that's my serious answer, doesn't happen often, but, since you asked in earnest, there you go.

OP I realize the bugs are infuriating. I cannot play the game on pc. I7 4790K, nvidia gtx 760, ssd and too much ram to worry about that being the problem.

But the bard songs were fun =(

My problems are irrelevant to the experience I had. I liked the game, but it was a really unfulfilled experience. I wanted more cutscenes and more content with the beautiful land scapes they provided. Less mmo mechanics and such. I can understand and I don't feel your wrong in your assertion that the priorities seem a bit misplaced..

But the songs are unrelated to the matter.

Well, there are different people than those complaining about the game's many flaws. There are people who genuinely liked the game and there are people who really did ask for those songs, since they are awesome and they wanted to play them themselves.

EDIT: I agree on the treatment from BioWare so far regarding fixing the game, very little communication, very little insight on what they plan to do. Hell, we didn't even get patch notes for the last stealth hot-fix.

I really don't get the whole hate for the last gen. I have DAI for xbox 360 and I haven't experianced any problems out of the expected texture pop in (which I really don't care about). I needed to quit gaming for awhile anyway (until the summer anyway), so DAI was a great game to go out on for the next 6 monthes.

Well, I understand. Bioware communication is absolute crap on this game.

We : "We can't play at all..."

Bio : "Yeah! We are GOTY"

We : "Still can't play..."

Bio : "Look at the wonderful cake!"

We : "Still waiting..."

Bio : "We are going to vacations! So long!"

We : "Did you see all the bugs we posted about in your official forum?"

Bio : "Multiplayer DLC! Yeah!"

We : *post deleted on facebook*

Bio : "And now, the long awaited bard songs!"

It's not that I hate last-gen, is that Skyrim happened on last-gen and I've been cautious ever since.

The programmers and the rest of the dev team were not suddenly told "Stop working and upload those songs". Either someone at EA did it or the teams that worked on the music did it.

If they didnt release the songs there would be no news for you to complain about.

I don't think time for uploading bard songs is away from patching time, but it might be distraction tactic, to keep people happy. Or even happier if they don't need patches.

Personally I'm not too intrested on bard songs of the game which I haven't even played. I mean hard to get feeels without that. But I guess I can now at least listen what DAI sounds like- I mean how it's supposed to sound like, not how it sounds like with all kind of voice and music bugs that people are having.
