Haven't seen a post on this so far, but the search forums function seems kinda broken most of the time. Does anyone know where to find the mage specialization trainers? I'm level 8 and have 1 specialization point to spend but don't know where the trainers for each specialization are located.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any opinions on which one seems to work well in game?

Morrigan can teach you Shapeshifter. Though, I'm not quite sure what her requirement is. I've got her at 80+ and she's still refusing to train me.
I don't have Wynne yet, but she'll be the one to teach you Spirit Healer I guess.
Basically, you'll get your specializations from your party members (from those who start with one), or through lucking out and finding a book for sale that teaches there rest.
I got Templar from Alistair so far.
And bought a book for Ranger.

I did Warden's Keep and got a couple of special abilities but it doesn't make you a blood mage, just a little mana regeneration type ability and an attack. Haven't used them yet.

■The Spirit Healer specialization is taught by Wynne by pursuing her personal story. Alternatively, a manual can be bought from a vendor in the Wardens Keep (DLC).
■The Arcane Warrior specialization is taught by The Presence in the Brecilian Ruins.
■The Shapeshifter specialization is taught by Morrigan if asked so. Alternatively, Master Varathorn in the Dalish Camp trains it as well.
■The Blood Mage specialization can be taught by Connor in Red Cliffe if his quest is solved in a specific way.

I wanted to be Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior... paladin style
Too bad I had to kill her thanks to Morrigan. Some people are so mean.

I thought that was neat. Taking an apostate to the chantery was bound to have some problems

When can you go to the place? I am leaving Lothering and am level 7... i want to be an Arcane warrior but this location is not open to me yet... Seems kinda dumb you get a specialization point at level 7 that you can't even use until higher level to reach the trainer.

Go to the elven forest for Arcane warrior.
Yea on first play through you may not see specialties untill well past 10th level. As a warrior and not willing to spend coin on the unlock books I was 14 before I got my first.Following playthroughs do take advantage of what you have unlocked however.

In the elven forest make sure you use TAB to highlight stuff. It took me like an hour to find the phylactery for AW because I hadn't used tab.
For spirit healer just get 15 gold and buy the book. Wynne's story takes foreeeever. I have her at 80 and she's still not done with it.
Also, less related, but why do people keep saying Morrigan makes you kill Wynne? She didn't make me kill Wynne, and I didn't lose any brownie points or whatever they're called when I brought Wynne into the group.

As far as Morri and Wynne as long as you agree with Wynne during the meet in the tower she will join your party without mayhem. If you agree with Morri during the cut scene then a fight to the death ensues. It isnt a bad idea to F5 before hand with any of the major NPC conversations such as meeting a new one for the first time or during major plot developments. You can see most of these coming.

I told Morrigan she could've been one of the mages in the tower and she reflected on if Flemeth hadn't been their she could've. Then she just said help them if you want what do I care. I'm in the fade now.
The undead battle took forever but I somehow managed on normal. The reverant in the courtyard however I didn't stand a chance. Came back after going and doing Wardens Keep, no problem at all.
The Mana gain spell from Wardens is great.

Not sure why people are having trouble getting morrigan to teach them shape shifter it appeared as a dialogue option the first time I was in camp and I got the specialization at level 8. *shrug* at any rate where exactly in the ruins is the thing that teaches arcane warrior?
