It seems to be some problem with audio drivers. If I go to the game configuration panel and turn the sound off the game will crash every time I try to load the galaxy map. Turn it on and then all goes ok.



I'll understand if it would be a driver incompatibility but turn the sound off?? Something in the game coding is wrong, man.

OK i've been getting a similar problem. I can't launch certain missions because they crash in the loading screen right after I click land from the galaxy map. I have no idea what the problem is, I already beat the game twice on this system and the only change since then Is and upgrade to windows 7. The latest mission this has happened on is the Jacob loyalty mission. The other ones before that where affected where side missions so I just ignored them



System:

Windows 7 64bit upgraded from windows xp 32

intel core duo 3.00ghz

2 gigs ram

GF 9800GTX

SB audigy

[Xaldin]

dunno if you still have the problem but go to Options<Graphics<Reset to Default that should do the trick no more galaxy map crash

2. The game developers do not monitor anything happening here.

3. If they had been doing so, by now, they would not be any more. The game is just too old for any further patching.
