You can amplify your Legionnaire DPS output, but it requires several Cunning promotions. Once you make them, you can improve your critical hit chance, then spec into Flow of Battle. If you have Caliban, you can also use two superb critical hit chance rings instead of HoK ones. Also To the Death is perfect for increase DPS, just stay alive after using it.

This is exactly what I am doing together with lots of cunning. Also I have Dwarven Proven Shield. I can assure you that my legionnaire is small, but his sustained damage output is enormous, and his survivability is unequalled. You can solo perilous with it, quite comfortably and are quite usefull in any perilous team really. Also with To the death you do some insane damage on large mobs and bosses.

I guess it can be boring, but seeing a Lego tank like boss makes usually for a smooth run and always puts a smile on my face.

I am at level 18 now with it and I don't think it really came alive tell around 14-15. It is just a later point guy that needs higher points to have some fun imo.

I've promoted leggo like 15 times. Personally I think it starts becoming fun around 7-8 when you have taunt+20% passive and upgraded WF. Next peak comes when you get the upgraded TTD. But at the end of the day its having top notch equipment that makes it fun really. Also timing that shield wall like a boss. Not applicable on Perilous though.

Here's a build I had fun with, its a little more DPS, but still very tanky. Mind you, I run on Threatening mostly right now, waiting on a few rings and weapons to drop before going regulary into perilous, I also PUG most of the time. Oh, I also have Caliban so.... yeah, that helps a lot.

But here it is.

Walking Fortress-Invulnerabilty plus guard, win and win

Counterstrike-Full guard in an instant, enemies get hit for hitting you

Payback Strike-Area knockdown/stun plus it lets you recover from cc effects such as DC fears

Lunge and Slash-Gets you from mob to mob pretty fast and does some pretty good damage

For passives you want flow of battle and cutting words and the one just before CS, the rest is up to you.

I've had a blast with this build, and I had some wasted points as I was trying out shield bash, either way, its higher dps and still very tanky. Don't use sheild wall, on routine and threatening its decent, but on perilous everything just hits too hard, they'll go through your stamina in a blink of an eye.

No taunt??? You can't be the tank with no taunt...

Oh I forgot about that, long cooldown though. I have a similar build except instead of Lunge and Slash I use upgraded War Cry.
