Ok, in ME1 I hunted down Cerberus like dogs. They were an enemy, albeit a secondary enemy. Now I'm suddenly working for them and they are the good guys? I don't want to work with them and I simply won't work for them.

I have only completed the first 2 missions so far, but someone please tell me that I don't have to be their dog for the entire game.

Secondly, I really dislike Miranda. I realize that everyone has their own opinion about what makes a good character, but her ratty hair and obnoxious voice drive me crazy, and she doesn't shut up! Miranda makes me really miss Ashley.

So after the second mission, when I realized that Shepherd was happy to suddenly accept doing the dirty work for Cerberus and that I was stuck with Miranada and her voice for another mission I exited the game, perhaps for good.

Back to TF2!

Seriously....Cerberus?

You don't HAVE to be happy working for Cerberus. There are plenty of times to protest this state, and many options to go against their wishes. Also: I assure you, late on in the game you can clearly turn over and cease being Cerberus' dog.

Welcome to real life, things don't always happen the way you want them to. You think my Shepard's happy about it? Hell no. He was paragon, he's pretty pissed about it too.

Heck even my Ruthless Renegade Shepard is increadibly unhappy working for Cerberus, and is sure to let them know every chance she gets.

I would like a hot pocket please. Cut mine into fours though? Thanks mom. Brosky, this is Mass Effect we're talking about. This is like a 25 hour main-quest game. You completed 2 missions, and are calling it quits? You are a sad, strange little man. Plus, dont even pretend shooting the **** with Martin Sheen and the hot chick from Chuck isn't awesome.

Dude, just to say, in every dialogue where I've been accused of working for cerberus, I've told them that Cerberus is merely providing funding.

It's an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" situation.

Talk to the people on the ship, and many do not share cerberus's anti-alien views, just wanting to advance humans. The problem only comes when advancing humans means sacrifcing other species.

IMO, I`d like it if in ME3 we can sort of legitimize cerberus and remove the anti-alien part of their agenda. It seems to ber certain cells are more prejudiced than others anyway.

Without the twist, I think people would be bored because it would be just like ME1, except fighting Reapers instead of Saren.

Though....I miss my kickass ship and kickass battletank. :(

Just think how you played the first game, how you could be pro-human. Or pro-alien. Now take everything you did to make your world what you want it to be, put it in a jar. And throw it at a wall. This is how Me2 starts out as. You need to re pick up the pieces you had, and you will be a very happy person again.

Paragon Shepard plainly hates working for Cerberus but it's a necessity. The council are doing nothing, the alliance are doing nothing and meanwhile tens of thousands of people are disappearing.

Plus the ship is Cerberus owned with Cerberus personnel and a Cerberus AI. If you want to help the missing colonists you don't have much say in the matter in the beginning.

As another poster has mentioned, near the end you get a chance to break away from Cerberus and while it isn't spectacular bangs and flashes, it is a punch the air moment.
