ME3 is most likely the best game ever.
You are not serious right? Thats quite a statement, and I have to say I disagree - even though it is only an opinion.

There are major gameplay problems which I don't think they will manage to fix. Well, at least BW is known to learn from their mistakes so I'm sure that the next time they won't repeat them.
1. Movement speed. No sorry, with extremely limited character building, only 4 abilities and no interaction beside killing stuff this can safely be called an action game. Moving around as a snail, then pressing shift just to accelerate to the speed of a rheumatic turtle isn't actiony. 'Oh hey, there are 10 archers shooting at me, let's run away - but slowly'. No. And let's not start with the collision. Avoiding a character is a 2-4s deal, seriously, they want to torture me? Faster movement speed would not make the game... boring.
2. Loot. I sincerely hope this loot system was with good intention not a monetization strategy. Even if the droprates for uniques and blacks from ME3MP are the same - pulling a level 3 unique is sheer frustration making me want to uninstall the game, while pulling a Crusader I nets me a quality shotgun. Pulling a second level 3 unique WILL get me uninstall the game, pulling a second Crusader leaves me with an even better shotgun. And perspective wise - I still don't have every weapon at X in ME3MP - basically the chances of me getting loot that I'm satisfied with (i.e. any black that I don't have at 10 yet) is the same as the beginning. I have a bunch of level 21-23 blues and uniques in DAMP. The chances of me getting loot that I'm satisfied with is less and less with every good piece of loot. Why should I bother if I want to upgrade a level 20 unique I have to first roll to get a unique THEN again to get a 21+ one. No, loot is horribly unsatisfying in DAMP and as time passes it will be even more.
3. Leveling. It takes too long to level. It takes too long to try out new builds. If my characters are static I will be static after a time. Why should I play with them if I know how they will work. On the other hand there's always a new skill I can try out in ME3MP, since leveling something to 20 is 3-4 matches.
4. Customization. I want my pink krogan. Sorry.
5. Static enemy groups. The main attraction of ME3MP was the AI. The enemies moving around the map resulted in ever changing scenarios. Here? I just get a toon, massacre one group after the other, repeat. Not fun, sorry. I want to get flanked, I want to flank them, I want to run around the map shooting/magicing up stuff, but killing off one group of enemies after the other like cattle gets old too fast.
While the randomly generated dungeons are a great idea the enemies should behave like they did in ME3. Smaller maps with multiple routes could be generated where enemies and players alike roam - ever changing scenarios in ever changing maps. How cool that would be?
Sure, these are my personal opinions only, but when I heard there will be DAMP I was longing for a ME3 just with medieval magic instead of space magic. This is not it and the changes that were made to it were not for the better.
So what WE can do is to tell them over and over again why we don't want to play their game.
What they can do is listen to the feedback, weight them according to their business plans and feasibility and do better next time.
There's going to be a natural "ebb and flow" around new content added. It's ok to stop playing a game for a bit and come back to it.
As an enthusiast, I do this by giving SP a rest and then spending time in MP (and vice versa).
ACU is still on my shelf...
The mp is dead.
Play SP instead.
Sure, these are my personal opinions only.
I do more or less agree with all of them though. Except 4, I dont care much about customization, allthough a bit more variations in armor looks would be nice, but I guess if there is one thing that we're going to get it is going to be that. Which is not something I would prioritize. I would prioritize making a LOT more playable content. Like a crafting system, where you are able to craft useful items with the tons of crafting materials you to date cant use. And a ten stage dungeon with a dragon at the end of it - with nice in game loot. Also what would be cool was if you wanted to play that dunegon you have to accomplish other things first to even gain access...
Well, I'm probably thinking of a completly different game. It's never going to happen ![]()

Full lobby, can't argue with you now, Elven Ruins to clear... ![]()

Is it?
Nope. It's not.
The thing is, the people I mostly meet in PUGs very, very rarely come to this forum. So the community of players playing is much larger than this forum is indicative of.
Sticking together? For me, that really depends.
I'm just going to leave this here. Note: Only read through the rest of that if you have a strong stomach.
As to the topic, I'd rather not convince people to play. I'm only interested in playing with people who want to. If they've got one foot out the door, they're more likely to spend their time raging about what I'm doing, and I'd rather relax and have fun.
Speaking of fun and relaxing, it's time for some DAMP. Those promotions don't grind themselves
Positivity. If someone starts the game and goes to the forums for a build advice general advice and they only see negative comments about the game they won't want to stay long. In-game and on the forums, if the community as a whole were positive and didn't play Damp religiously we'd be alright.
If something is bugging you take a break for a day, play something different or preoccupy your time in another way. If you get annoyed by something don't repeat the action over and over until you get so mad you post a rage vent thread or video.
Nearly 400 prestige score, and I'm not bored with Damp yet.
And to piggyback off of this and make a general address to everyone, do try and be nice to newcomers. This was one point that also drove me nuts in the ME3MP forum, is that after the game was out for a while, new people would show up and - yes, sin of all sins - ask a question that had already been answered in the past or ask for advice or otherwise do the sort of things new people will do. A lot of times, responses would consist of either mocking the new person or telling them to do a forum search first. Or they'd get trolled by the bored veterans.
That's an awesome way to kill a community and chase off the young blood you need coming in to replace retiring veterans of a game.
So, please just try and be nice and helpful. If a question's already been answered a million times, will it really kill you to just answer it again or, at the very least, just move on and ignore it rather than make a snide comment?
The same should go for people trying to help out as well. Medallion's thread the other day that tried to get folks interested in his Twitch livestream and engaged in general DAMP talk really shouldn't have turned into the off-topic train wreck and personal accusations that it did, which ultimately led to it being locked down by a moderator. Granted, I'll take myself to task for my first post in there not really being helpful (although with him being an obvious SEC college football fan, I'd like to think he got a chuckle out of my response, which was meant to be a humorous "inside joke" sort of poke), but I did try to point out that everyone should move along and stop with my second response.
That all ties back into trying not to weigh the forum down with only negative stuff. There's nothing that will drive off people faster than a community where having a differing opinion or asking a question may lead to a fight rather than a discussion or constructive advice. And, no, "L2P noob" is not constructive advice. ![]()
Hey, I was dead serious. The amount of people who agreed was testament to that fact that this is a dark series
Wow! You're really going to double down on that point?
And, no, "L2P noob" is not constructive advice.
I beg to differ.
Wow! You're really going to double down on that point?
Yep!
I'm not the only one trust me
So?
There being a ton of people who love committing crimes doesn't make it ok. There's a reason that isn't used as a defence by anyone in court.
Gotta say that's the first time I'be seen someone just outright ask for THAT in a games official forum.
I wish I could say the same.

There was no mistaking how serious you were after 5 pages of it, so I was well aware. Thankfully, you are vastly over-stating how many people agreed with you.

At this point, it's more like a multiple of 20 or more.

Letting Solas murder people who were only trying to defend themselves is worse. I'm sorry you've been desensitized to murder. I however have been desensitized to all forms of crime.
Cool story bro
Cool story bro
I know the disconnect issue is real but we as a community really should stick together for support.
With so many high level players leaving the MP and uninstalling the game, us who want them to stay are left in want.
Let's throw around some ideas to encourage players to keep their game installed so that we can enjoy their company because let's face it, it's better that way.
I myself don't really play the mp anymore. After you've spent 1,200,000 gold and still haven't got a longshot ring (among other items) and have 255 mats of various categories with absolutely nothing to use them on, and after you realize there is just 1 game mode for the multiplayer, combined with all the bugs.... I duno man. I just don't feel like bioware takes us seriously at all.
I know more than a few people who stopped playing and are waiting for bioware to take us seriously before playing again. There's only one game mode.... if they make us pay for a multiplayer expansion its going to put me off from playing the game even more.
Are you saying anything is worse than murder?
Really, I want to know.
And quite frankly I'm calling you out for your blatant negativity all over these forums. You've consistently bad mouthed other forum members in condescending ways and your attitude is exactly what the problem is.
Looooooooooooool
lol
Well look who it is.....
Do you actually play DAMP?
