Good point. I guess I'll give it a try in the future, since the game is super cheap now on Steam, so even if I don't like it I guess won't lose much.

Supervalue. If you make it through the tutorial and a bit further, and are not intrigued then this is not the game for you. I suggest to get that far before you give up atleast.

I remember when I first played it, the character creation screen looked like something from an RPG from the early 90's so I was naturally sceptical, and I had a really hard time at the beginning - as once you finish the tutorial you can basically go several different pathways, and I chose to try a route that was seriously out of my league. The monsters I encountered was even immune to my weapon. Once I figured out what way to go, and got properly started on my journey I really fell in love with the game and the graphics.

The thing about it is that a lot of the time you have several different options available to you on what directions to go - some areas doesnt even have to be visited to complete the game - but fill in some story gaps and can give you secret items and events. The game is full of secrets and shortcouts back and forth, so a guy who knows what he's doing can shortcut his way through the game in little over an hour, while you first playthrough might take even a month. And regarding secrets: they arent like you see in normal games these days. They will tell you about it and point to it with an arrow, while in Dark Souls, a secret really is a secret (until you read about it on the wiki that is). I played this game for three months and there are still things that I havent seen in it.

Also, there are people still playing this - both as an SP and for that Singleplayer PVP intergration. You can actually hunt people down in their own singleplayer games, by invading their game etc. I wont say much more about it, but there are of course an option to avoid it. Which also has meaning according to the singleplayer story. This is something I have never seen before in any SP game. There are so many cool details here, you've never seen before, it's simply amazing.

So go ahead, try it out - you got nothing to loose.

Public DAMP is a toxic place. You may be banned for no apparent reason if some random PuGs decided that you do not fit their requirements, low lvl, wrong class or just see you with no pathfinder banner on perilous lol. Not to mention "pro tactic advisors" screaming to everybody on mic. I know a friend who plays only private because of that things.

Just my 5$

Random PuGs can't ban you. If you consistently get reported by multiple teammates that result in a ban... I couldn't really tell you what's happening there...

Unless you meant getting "kicked," in which case I don't know what's happening either, since i don't have any banners, titles, or anything, and I've only been kicked once.

ME3mp -no lags, can find a game within 2-3 minutes or even less.

DAmp -lags,lost connection error, gathering a full party takes about 20 minutes or even more.

I guess,answer is pretty obvious.

yeah the lag is terrible in dragon age inquisition. Bugs out a lot of skills, they just don't work properly with so much lag. Lazy as hell peer 2 peer matchmaking.

Same design dark souls 2 uses. It's why people can cheat in multiplayer and give people that join their game extra health/damage or whatever they want. Just a dated system nowadays. It's probably the laziest and cheapest system they could have gone with and they went with it.

Yeah, i mean "kicks", sorry. Just saw a few low lvl players kicked on threatening with good items so I told this.

Oh, I can sort of understand that. I don't kick people. If I'm not comfortable with level/party makeup I just leave and find a new lobby, but I'm not entirely surprised that it happens at times.

Well, if there is no agreement to carry said individual, I really don't see the problem.

I don't join threatning with anything lower than level 8 unless it's preapproved by the team members (Like when you do a promotion for instance). Sure, Routine is boring past level 6, but most classes need a good few ability points to spend before being worthwhile, even with top end gear.

So do the considerate thing and communicate with your team before loading that low level character.

Being able to actually see your teammates equipped gear so that you have something other than banners and character level to go on might help.

Unlike Mass Effect in this one you can just be straight up under geared so it would actually be more relevant here.

I played it on the Xbox 360 so I never had such issues. But I do know that it was a PC port with poor k+m controls. One should get a controller. It's worth it to give in to that principle just to play this incredible game. It's truly awesome. Sauce.

* As stated below, the controls have been fixed in patches made by the fan community.

Yes, I also heard a lot of good things about it. But sorry, cannot use controller, too much for me. I read about the fixes and would be curious if somebody actually tried them.

Very bad experiences and in all my matches I've had about 2-3 of those amateur generals - including my last match with the genius wanting me in a tiny room on wave 5 facing the DC. Usually my PUG's aren't mean or cruel. They might b a bit dumb at times but usually they seem to be giving good effort and trying to be helpful and cooperative.

I havent tried them myself as I played on a console - so I cant attest to that. But from what I've read, it should work fine. If the fanbase patches the game to make it work, they do it properly ;)

I'd say give it a shot, you've got nothing to loose, except a few bucks.

I don't know that there's anything the player community can actually do to keep my interest. I'm having fun when I actually get to play with people, so we're good on that front. What has me logging off in disgust most days is entirely down to BW to sort out: The matchmaking is awful. 5-10 "lost connection to the session" before I get a game is not unusual for me. And it's not my ISP, multiple other games are rock solid, including other EA titles.

DAMP is boring and repetitive!

Running 3 linear maps over and over again is utterly boring.

We need new gamemodes, new maps. Give us PVP, deathmatch, capture the flag, last man standing etc.... there are so many multiplayer modes you could copy from other sucessful games. Give us a mode where we have to fight a dragon!

Give us new rewards, nobody is doing weekend challenges for some useless potions.

What about tier 3 weapon/armor schematics? Combined with tier 4 crafting materials in weekend challenge chests?

Add a new really hard difficulty level for those with level 20+ pink gear.

If nothing happends the next 2 weeks, DAMP is dead. Too many players already left. Im leaving too.

Not sure how to reply.  I love the multiplayer.  I bought this game for both PS4 and Xbox One, and I play with people on both systems.  It's a ton of fun.

What utter rubbish.

Never mind, that's your opinion, I hope you find something else you like to play.

lets see how long it takes Bioware to give us an interesting and rewarding multiplayer. I dont see it happen. DAMP is already dead in my opinion. I would say not even 0,5% of the people who bought DAI still play MP. Nobody in my origin friendslist plays it anymore. And they all played ME3 MP for years!

I would guess, probably a few thousand at most still play DAMP. Considering DAI sold several million times, its really a small number,

If the forum drama is more interesting than the game itself, it tells you a lot about the game.

Once we get platform parity (Meaning, the consoles gets Patch 3, and the addon patch) I'm sure we'll see the next bit of DLC within a month's timeframe.

Probably more people would play at MP at least on PS4 if it wasn't necessary pay the PSplus to play it... -_-

I know I'm not the only person who would not pay the PS plus only to play the DAMP, since others games don't require it to play online.
