Is it just me, or are there others who have zero interest in MP? Didn't play it in Uncharted. Didn't play it in Tomb Raider. Didn't play it in ANY of the Assassin's Creed games. Single player games with multiplayer additions that have no connection to the core game hold no interest for me.
Yeah... I haven't even thought about playing multiplayer...

And what if SP is connected to MP and vice versa?

Then I might have some interest in it. If there was some point where the additional content had some tangible bearing on the game and the story, then sure.

I checked it out once, and have only returned to it once when I clicked it on accident. I enjoy ME3 and Assassin's Creed multiplayer, but having multiple people in Dragon Age combat doesn't even make sense to me. Dealing with the controls without any other people is quite enough.

With multiplayer (strictly speaking that not true, which Tevos will certainly point out, as demonstrated by games like Diablo 3 which you can play alone but nvm semantics) and some random rewards (you can earn coins to unlock a crate which may contain some things), the same players will happily replay the same 10min mission over and over again, or farm some boss, or whatever.
Simply put, it's a lot easier to break out psychological tricks than to make a good game with comparable length (e.g. many hundred hours for Diablo)

Or they could have had a multiplayer character creator, a fill in character that you can help your friends single player game with. An inquisitor, and a few elite friends not in the circle. But current issues alone with fb3 show they can't handle that probably.

I have friends that play the MP and they eventually persuaded me to join them. It's fun in a simplistic, admittedly mindless way. I don't know how I'd feel if I pugged most of the time though.

I'm with you, OP. Zero interest in the multiplayer. I'm trying to think if there could be a piece of gear or an upgrade that could entice me in there, but coming up blank.
However, if there was anything in the single player campaign that either forced or strongly encouraged me to participate in multiplayer in order to complete the main story, I'd be pissed.

Only kind of MP I do is MMOs. MP in other games I have zero interest in. I've not even dabbled in MP for non-MMO games since ummm 2006, maybe 2007. If a game tries to force MP by tying it in with SP then I'll just ignore the game completely.

Actually Multiplayer was the main reason i left Elder Scrolls online.. IF i wanted to Multiplayer i'd play Battlefield 3 or something similar.

I love ME3 MP but I haven't tried DAI MP even once yet. Maybe I'll check it out someday out of plain curiocity, though.

There is no gear that could entice me, since I can't transition it over to the core game.

I spent over 400 hours on Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.
Inquisition's? I played 10 matches, if that. Too grindy, buggy and it somehow manages to have more latency issues than ME3's.

Nope, no interest here at all. They should have made some sort of tie-in to get special gear or something in order to entice me.

Yeah... nah.
Single player story campaign produces enough "multiplayer" as it is...
"single player MMO." <----------- (This still cracks me up)

i don't play MP as well. i probably never will. if it's built into the SP, i'd be interested only if it presented some unique co-op experience (think D:OS), exclusive gear/perks obtainable by grinding/platinum would annoy me.
don't mind if it's included for people who enjoy it tho.

It's a fun way to pass the time, but it won't be for everyone. I definitely liked ME 3 MP a lot better.

I'm not sure that someone calling the DA:I developers "disgusting" should be referring to anyone else as rude.

I've never actually completed any multiplayer myself, and I suspect I may not return to it. The problem is that Dragon Age's combat is not so engaging outside of any meaningful context in the same way ME3's is. It's the same reason why one can have lots of fun in the Citadel DLC combat simulator.
