The payoff for using the keep is...

A couple of references during dialogue.

One in Redcliffe if you speak to the "storyteller".

Hawke, if you question him/her about a few things... and apparently Imshael if you ask for versions.

Otherwise....

Yeah... nah.

I just spat water all over my screen, Octarin.

It's a bit like that, innit?

I mean, people are very... black and white. ;)

It's just you.

Sorry bout that luvie, lol, next time I'll warn first :P

And yes, I am seriously fed up with people who just refuse to acknowledge everyone else except themselves. As if the game released only for themselves, only they matter, only their opinion is valid and only their gaming experience is real. I just snapped at somebody in the other thread, I'm just fed up with this attitude. Thankfully though, people have started realizing that we "complainers" have some valid legitimate complaints, but these narcissistic players still exist and it makes me spaz

SPAZ!!!

I saw that, a few minutes ago.

And I have witnessed it before as well. I put it down to "pea-brain syndrome".

I understand arguments from both sides of the fence, due to my "mixed feelings" about the game.

And personally, I find it disgusting that people have bought a game and have had trouble playing it due to bugs and crashes... even more disgusting when a supposed patch is released that just makes things worse... plus, marketing a game that is clearly too powerful for certain last-gen consoles...

I would rather have seen the Keep as a option on the start-up screen rather than having to go to a website for it. It seems like something that would've easily worked as something that came with the game.

-Start-up game.

-Select "Keep".

-Edit Tapestry, without ever having to leave the game.

-Save Tapestry.

-Start New Game.

-Select a World State from the Keep.

-Off you go.

It's one of those things I really don't get from Bioware, regarding Inquisition.. Like having 2 color wheels for Eyes + another eye color selection. But having no color wheel for Hair.. *facepalm*

I get that.

When I first used the keep I kept getting errors.

Took me two hours to successfully load a state.

As most people that played the entire Dragon Age series gone are the days of simply importing ones game saves. Now we are forced to use Dragon Age Keep. Is it just me or has bioware literally just back handed us all?

With that, I have to say this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I spent quite a while trying to create a perfect play throughs through all two games.I completed every mission, did every sidequest, and  chose a very specific romance for each of them. Now i have the option to upload my save to an editor? So..then what was the point of me playing all those hours?

Sure Dragon Age is superb series but the idiocy that permeates of having to use Dragon Age keep just really pissed me off. Really, I just do not get what Bioware was thinking while making it?

Also. Is anyone else really pissed off that they didn't put face codes in a game that should have them? It worked perfectly in Mass Effect 2. How hard would it be to release a patch that implemented them? I've lost count on how many times I've had to redo my elf or qunari character.

Now I've been mauling over the thought of petitioning them to implement the old way of importing saves and face codes. But wondering would they even listen? Seeing how Mass Effect  3 's ending was changed a little because a lot of people were pissed off about it maybe that could happen for DAI?

Yes, it's you.

You completely misunderstand the situation.

Multiple platforms and generations make this the only way to go.

The point of playing all those hours was to enjoy the games, the Keep gives you a duplicate world state (or not if you choose).

The idiocy is not BioWare's, the Keep is a great idea.

Face codes were being considered for later, the 2D grids and wheels make the character created considerably more complex to codify.

Don't bother petitioning, such such things have to go onto more than one page.

Change this policy because of a few illogical grumbles?

Not in a million years.

I'd love an offline Keep application of some sort myself. The only thing that makes the online version at all special is its ability to account for the names of the protagonists we have saved up, but it wouldn't suffer for a lack of it offline, since we could just reapply the name ourselves if we had to.

The worst thing about the Keep is that it does not import our character's faces.  At least let us re-design our Warden/Hawke in the Keep, rather than in the middle of our Inquisition save!  As usual you get one shot and then you are stuck with that face.

Except that the keep is not working.. Many of the key moments that happened in DA:O, and DA2 are being misrepresented in DA:I.. Outright incorrect.. Im st through, and 3 important moments were completely wrong.. 2 within 3 hrs, completely contraducted one another..

Morrigan says the female Hero fo Ferelden left her on bad terms, when in fact, it was a male, who had a baby with her, and lived... 3hrs later, Leliana States that the hero died during the 5th blight during the Arch demn encounter... Hawke, was supposed to be a dual wield rogue, and in Inquisition, was a mage..

I checked my World state everytime something shoed incorrectly, and its correct in the Keep.. The game is simply not taking the info properly!  It sucks!

I only have 1 world state loaded, and its not working hardly at all.. I wanna say a refference to King Allistar was incorrect as well, but cannot be certain!

Nah bro... you're making it up. ;)

Jokes.

But anyway... this is the issue. The Keep was implemented to *prevent* in-game glitches and yet.... it happened anyway.

"A patch for a patch for a patch for a patch..."

I seriously have no idea why you wouldn't want the Dragon Age Keep. There has been less bugs in terms of world state with Keep. I hated that I romanced Zevran in DAO and he turned up and slept with Isabela in DA2 because of an import bug. I ended up manually editing my DA2 save to make all the flags correct anyway. The Keep was the best thing they decided to do!

I haven't had any bugs as of yet with my Keep saves. I hope it stays that way but at least it's probably easier to fix the Keep than the import issues of previous games.

Is that actually a bug though, Evenstar?

I wouldn't be surprised if he just felt like spraying his seed... I mean, he did grow up in a brothel....
