Hi, i have a graphic card MSI 980GTX and the game was running smoothly, until last day, when i updated the driver. Now game lags like hell. I even tried lowering all graphic settings, but nothing changes..

I am not sure the driver is guilty of this, but i cannot think of anything else....any idea?

Is it possible to re-install the previous driver? That would confirm if it is the culprit or not.

If you can't (because "you've got a newer version already installed"), if you have the restore option on (assuming your OS is Windows), try restoring the computer to the date before the update was done.

Eh, no, i dont have any recent restore point, unluckily

You can uninstall the driver so you are running with a generic video driver and then download an older version of the nvidia driver. Nvidia makes older versions available.

I upgraded to a 970 a few weeks ago after my four year old vid card bit the dust.

Seems to be an occasional hazard with NVidia drivers. If you have an earlier version of Windows than 8, you can follow these instructions, or there's this utility, or these instructions if you have Windows 8.1.
