Lol i do think that even without a mic, there is logic.
I do understand those people, speacially warriors, cause the reward is greater with the number of kills, i use to spend my energy and time protecting warriors and companions with spells, i always activate the resurection, and also trying to slow down enemies. I can tell u this at the end of the party even if my lightenning has reduced the ennemies strenght for final blow, i was always at the bottom with 10 to max 20 kills while the warrior and elementalist can end a party with 70 kills.
Simple rules, always wait for ur comrads to pop up, before rushing like mad.
Wait for the keeper to protect u with spells when enemies are near.
If u are an archer, protect the keeper whom will protect the warrior.
Archer and keeper have to stay close with each other.
The Arcane Warrior always needs protection, he can seem powerful with deadly attacks but he is very fragil low healthed mage.
If u have a mic, just ask people that can hear u to jump. Even if people are not using the mic they still can hear u most of the time.
Ah, something else when im playing online i noticed that there is a gap of 15s when i'm playing with people from the pacific, or the west coast.
So far i have played with a couple smart people that was using their mic to coordinate everything. Some other without the mic, that agree to follow the lead of one player, and smart to communicate with their character in/during the game.
