At the time, Leliana had no idea that the Warden went with Morrigan. At Haven Leliana tells the Inquisitor that she is very good friends with the Warden, and that she used to write him letters asking for advice, however the Warden stopped writing back. For all Leliana knows, Morrigan seduced the Warden to have the OGB, thus Morrigan used her 'best' friend. Leliana quickly changes her mind, after she sees how much the OGB and Warden have changed Morrigan. Morrigan changed in a way Leliana wanted to but could not, Lel picks up on this, and develops a soft spot for Morrigan. She shows a caring attitude towards her (you see this when the OGB runs through the mirror). Cullen even picks up on Lel's caring attitude towards Morrigan, he teases Leliana about it. I will add that Leliana at the time in question, did not know that Morrigan had a family, only that Morrigan was a possible threat. It's not like she told the Inquistor to kill Morrigan, she said to be warry of her.
Possible, buuuuuuuut.... If Leliana and the Warden, are friendly, and have been exchanging letters (apparently the Crossroads has a post office), wouldn't it logical to think at least once he would have said, oh, BTW, Morrigan and I are together and raising our son.
I think its more artistic license to build up Morrigan's entrance. Hardcore players knew she was reffering to Morrigan, but more casual gamers might have been thinking, what's this next headache I am going to have to deal with, and then went duh, its Morrigan!
I think if the writers really wanted to plant the idea of Leliana plotting, those lines of dialogue would have only triggered if the Warden killed Leliana.

This is my fault; Leliana did not just say she had not received word from the Warden in a long time--she said that she had no idea where he was or what he was doing. If she knew the aformentioned, why have a war table mission that involved finding out those very things? We know that the Warden went to a place where no letter would reach, and no letters would be sent from.
"....again." lol!
"...again...and again...and again." Until BioWare stop retcon her death. ![]()
Leliana hás gone crazy and she needs to be stopped.
NO
let's make her divine >![]()
Leliana is just salty the Warden dumped her. Right after convincing her to sleep with Isabela. Welcome to the world of Thedas AIDS.

The AIDS ass
Since when giving ones opinions is trying to execute ? did she act at all to get her killed ? Dont think so .
And everyone does it . Cass think fiona and the mages are behind the divine death....doesnt mean she is saying 'Let kill them all!!' ...and so on...
Because someone as Morrigan is simply oozing with trust sure
How dare Leliana suspect someone as Morrigan for using blood magic when Morrigan herself admits using it + many more forbidden arts,so how dare Leliana suspect Morrigan for doing something immoral when she is pure 'Andraste' in flesh.Shame on Leliana for suspecting such wonderful and pure person as Morrigan, shame on Leliana truly for it
*extremely epic huge sarcasm noted*

she admits to having knowledge of it, but we have no reason to suspect in lore she has ever actually used it
excluding DR, cause who knows with that

still she is oozing with trust way too much to the point in where I would trust more Corypheus then her in everything ![]()

ok, but that doesn't change the fact she doesn't use blood magic

-100 HOF DISAPPROVES
Highly skilled apostate, daughter of the Witch of the Wilds, someone with disdain for most of everybody last time she saw her, manipulative, shapeshifter, and someone who's shown knowledge of less-than-savory magical arts in the past? Oh, now she's insinuated herself into the Orlesian court, close to the Empress?
Nope, nothing to see here, Inquisitor. I'm sure she's just here for the tea. No need to be suspicious. At all. Nope.
She didn't suggest execution, she suggested caution.
It only sounded to me as if Leliana was reporting on rumors about Morrigan that other people may have believed as far as the alleged use of blood magic on the court goes and about her being "dangerous." The other part about Morrigan being manipulative in the past is true and is based on her personal experience with Morrigan.
I believe that after talking to Leliana and asking her about Morrigan back at Skyhold much later on, she basically says that she's surprised by how much Morrigan has changed. Really, I agree with Ieldra - it was just a warning to be cautious.
Pretty much. Even Morrigan in DAO said she was a manipulative person, so it's hardly something people wouldn't be able to call Morrigan based on prior experience.
well, as for my opinion.... we know that there is going to be an assassination attempt on the empress, morrigan has infiltrated the orlesian court as if by blood magic which most people consider a killable offense, and we know morrigan has her own ambitions and wont let right or wrong get in the way of that... leliana is telling you that morrigan is a suspect to look into, its sound advice and had we been playing this game without prior knowledge as to who morrigan was, then we would have thought it was good advice... so no, you shouldnt hate leliana for implying that morrigan could have been the culprit. (plus you can arrest the assassin, so who's to say that we wouldnt have arrested morrigan instead of killing her? as for as im concerned, she didnt order a hit on your warden's family)
