Just go back and look at Flemeth's prophecy at Sundermount in Act I of DA2. Hawke will be just fine.

Here's to hoping. Having Hawke be dealt with in a new game would irk the living nug out of me, because I'd have to do another extra character creator yet again lol

Also "I tinkered for one straight hour using my memory on engine speeds it's not used to operating on & trying ignore the weird lightning during the initial conversation until I got him to remotely look like in DA2" helped me not throwing that away by risking the sacrifice, damnit.
Even if Hawke/Warden survives the Nightmare, without the Inquisitor's mark I don't think they can survive in the Fade. The anchor seems to be the key to surviving physically in the fade so once the Inquisitor leaves it's probably game over for whoever is left. Even if they survive the nightmare and the absence of the anchor, they have no apparent way of returning to the real world. Can a physical body live off of Fade food and water? When he/she goes to sleep what happens? Assuming they can sleep safely in a part of the Fade inhabited by so many hostile demons...

If they become possessed by the Nightmare i'm sure they'll "survive",also at this point in time there are other rifts open,no idea if they'd be able to reach them though.
I just hope DA4 will bring us Hawke as the PC (or at least they will develope a DLC with the story of Hake after he/she took off to Weishaupt or what happened after battling that fear demon). I would take it as vindication for him/her not being the inquisitor. Few months since DAI has been released, I'm still convinced Hawke was the earliest, original, first intended PC for DAI. There are so many events during DA][ and DAI game that scream this was written for Hawke as the PC. These out of the blue-inquisitor, seems so dull and out of place before, during and after I played the game. I can help but think that bioware created a new PC mostly because of all the anger after the release of DA][ that left so many complaining and also because it seems a huge number of fans of DA franchise wanted a multiracial option for a PC. I wish Hawke was, at least, one of the PC options for DAI.
Same here. As soon as I learned who the baddie was I was like "DOES HAWKE KNOW THIS???!" and then there he was, and suddenly I wanted to be him and finish what he started in Legacy. If there was an option to import him I would've, Sarcastic Hawke and his friends were all that kept me playing DA2.
Also, why does the Inquisitor not open a fade rift or the eluvian and find Hawke? We have several companions sensitive to spirits, you'd think Cole could find the only living thing in the Fade, or Solas could find his spirit if he were dead, or it could've been a question we asked the all-knowing Flemeth.
