YAY! More Bioware team goodness.  :D I don't actually have anything interesting to add. I'll just second whatever Dragon Racer says. 'cause she's awesome like that. (if we do need a community manager, she's got my vote.)

Actually, I think a unique chest would be a good idea for challenge rewards. Like a guaranteed level 23 unique. That'd be sweet.

Awwwww!!!

I'm getting compliments left and right today... one from here, one from another department's manager who appreciated some things I did here at work.

Today is a good day. :)

(But seriously, the vote of confidence is appreciated! :D )

Thanks for this Fiddz/BW.  I can almost see the smiles on BSNers faces as you guys are interacting with us.  :)

So many great ideas from the community... nothing to add at the moment, but if anything pops up, will add.

I do however like the idea of increasing our potion limits.  I recall how brutal it was in ME3MP with so few "potions," especailly on Gold  Expanding these items was one of the best improvements to ME3MP.  Would love to see something similar to this implemented in DAMP as well.

One more for you.  U R awesome!  Thanks for being part of the community and your contributions.  Who needs to take first place for e-peen?  Some gratitude works wonderfully.  :)

Getting 20 goldmedals is a badly designed challenge.

It hurts the teamplay and everyone is running ahead to get the kills.

Just let others picking up the gold, I will rather pull the next group.

Wait someone died? NAw I dont care I need the gold medal for kills, Screw the team.

Why not doing challenges that enforces teamplay???

I mean most of the people did 5 solo routine runs to get the really crappy chest. Which is hardly worth the trouble at all.

In ME3 we got N7 weapons!

Besides the fact that I probably stop playing DAMP because of the repetitive gameplay.

We need new gameplay modes, new classes, new maps ASAP. DONT wait 2 more months because then, nobody cares, they all stopped playing DAMP.

4 of my friends already stopped playing multiplayer.

I like it.  Perhaps to add to challenges:

Revive X teammates

Perform X team combos

Gain X amount of support XP

Lure X enemies over to treasure room raiding teammates and get them killed - wait... ok, no  (Kenny... we're watching you)

Mission: "Hard Nug Life"

Attention Inquisition agents:

We are aware that there have been complaints about the quality of the ham served at our forward camps, and indeed claims that it is never ham. We recognize that an army marches on its stomach, and so urge you to support your fellow troops. We need fresh supplies, and we need our people there to enjoy a good meal together. Capture enough nugs to feed the army, and return to enjoy the spoils.

Tonight, we dine on Nugs.

- Commander Cullen.

Agent goal: Extract from 10 routine, 5 threatening, or 1 perilous mission.
Community goal: Kill x golden nugs.

(extraction numbers may need tweaking)

This gold medal one... the main reason I play is either to do the weekly challenges or get some levels/gear to do future weekly challenges. I can't do this one. If I can't do them, I doubt I'll be interested in playing anymore. When ME3MP stopped doing them, I stopped playing. 20 silver medals would have been OK. Bronze would have been appropriate.

Also, as I've said numerous times before, enough with the competitive, solo-only challenges. At least the ME3MP ones with things like "do X damage with assault rifles" or "get Y techsplosions" could be done about as quickly in a group as they could solo.

750,000 gold metals? Really? Do they understand that this game is one step away from being completely dead on pc or what?

Xbox 360 probably has a bigger multiplayer community than pc. Wtf are they thinking ?

I wouldn't say it's dead on PC, I only play pugs and run into lots of different people. But 750K is a tad insane. We're at 76,161 now. That's not looking too damned likely.

My problem is that I can't understand the logic behind the number when not that many people play this on pc. If they made it remotely interesting I'm sure we'd have a bigger community. Right now all this multiplayer accomplishes is bleeding players.

Crying has nothing to do with it, its just the reality of the situation that the game is in on PC platform.

It has been said but, in my opinion, challenges which encourage team play are better. For the 20 gold medals, for example, I just soloed 5 matches...

That ended the constructive part of this post. Please keep reading if you'd like some whine ;)

It was actually better for me that one could solo this challenge, since I've been getting "Lost connection to the session" errors to the point I've given up on public games.

Going forward I would like to know what fun challenges you would like to see.

Leave recovery fonts on perilious be. Unused recovering fonts are only counted from finished perilious runs.

This requires good teamplay (playing as a team, using the right tonics at the right time to hold the HP of all players high untill the end to beat the run). More, it requires thinking about what you're doing more then facerolling your class out. It would also encourage players that are stuck on threatening AND are aware of weekend challenges to join perilious teams. Last but not least it prevents brainless solo routines for a large chest.

The difficuilty for this challenge (like the current Golden challenge) is to set the requirements to high for the community.

To beat the current weekend challenge, you could say, 37500 players have to achieve their personal agent challenge of earning 20 gold medals. Sounds viable at first, but reality shows it's not that easy. I checked the numbers a few minutes ago, the scoreboard read 82464 gold medals (on PC). That's ~4123 players that finished their personal weekend challenge. Its saturday evening here. Maybe there aren't that much players at the moment to play or the challenge was scaled without considering the actually numbers of average players on the weekend / average generation of gold medals in a specific time like the weekend. I don't know. But the current challenge indicates me that

a.) the PC community is really a small one and/or

b.) most of the players aren't encouraged to work on them.

A solution for b.)?

Bringing up unique rewards for timegated events to motivate more players to deal with community challenges.

1. I will echo a lot of the sentiments here and say bring on the "unique" or distinct rewards. Maybe we could earn special class skins or banners for completing the challenges. New weapons, like N7-type, would make for an enticing reward, maybe some that proc unusual effects, like chance to panic, drop pitch grenade, or "Sword of Swarm" that has a rare chance to cast bees. Make these weekend only drops to really drive player participation around these challenges.

2. Dragons

3. Also teamwork should be the central focus for the type of challenges: x number of matches where everyone earns the Immortal medal, x number of matches where all class doors are opened, x number of revives.

4. Dragons

5. Make challenge stats not completion-dependent. As it stands right now, I often come close to completing objectives, only to have Key glitch, or host migration/ host drop occur. Makes it feel as if progress is "random" which is discouraging to the players. I know part of this is because of how my swing shift work hours effect the types of matchmaking I am likely to get, but still, sometimes it seems like I spend more time trying to find or complete a match to try to get a small portion of the challenge than I do enjoying the game. Fix it or at least make the stat for challenges not tracked by mission-completion.

6. Dragons.

7. Incorporating a message with some "story" on the bioware blog or on a new "intro screen" in the multiplayer interface to set a context for our actions for how this effects the Inquisition from Cullen Josephine or Lels, a la ME3MP, would go a long way towards motivating me to want to participate. See the "Hard Nug Life" post above for an example.

I hope this helps. I can't wait to see what you all come up with for weekend events.

Ps, did I forget to mention Dragons? ;)

Would love more team/teamwork challenges. This week I looked for routine PUGs with a bunch of level 1s and then Leroy Jenkinsed with a level 20 templar. And to be honest, I felt a little bad because I knew I was playing selfishly.

I saw some good ideas above, but here are a few more ideas, some crazier than others:

1. Wingman: Earn XXXXX assist XP. (maybe a bit trolly: everyone tries to damage the enemies but avoids actually killing them, hilarity ensues!)
2. No man left behind: play in X games where all 4 people earn immortal medals
3. Bull in a china shop: collect XXXX gold from pots
4. Agoraphobia/hold the fort: finish X last stages where 3 party members do not leave the antechamber.
5. Go down fighting: for one weekend, make the last stage unwinnable (don't stop spawning mobs, make them progressively harder, send out multiple bosses in waves, etc) and make the community goal to make XXXXXXXX final room kills.
6. "Sold his head for good money": Be part of a team that kills XX wyverns.

For each event, give out a brand new, thematic-to-the-event, unique item. Maybe for 1, a ring that heals you when somebody else kills a creature you already damaged. For 5, an amulet that revives you once per game if you are about to bleed out. For 6, if the community reaches it's goal, wyverns will start dropping golden nug-level coin. But ensure that people a) get something cool and B) it is not something they could already have. For cool loot put it in the loot table after the event so people not participating can maybe get lucky and find it later.

In this Day and Age, I don't see why people keep asking for Dragon content.

It's not like the name of the game is...oh, wait.

At this rate, it is NOT going to happen on PC barring some massive change/glitch/hack.

150K might have been feasible. As it stands, 750K is a pipe dream.

Haha, I agree 100%. I want Dragons sigh, I always was curious why the extraction wave on ME3MP didn't have you running around trying to survive a Reaper onslaught( an actual Reaper ) with all its death rays ect. But, I digress Dragons Bioware, MOAR DRAGONS!

I think that could be an interesting variation, instead of the wave 5 swarms give us a dragon instead that way you don't know what you are getting at wave 5 maybe something good.....maybe something bad.

Really maybe wave 5 could play out in any number of ways:

As is
Dragon mode
Alamo mode, everyone will die but how long can you hold out, longer = more XP/gold/items
King of the hill mode, everyone likes camping...right?

I don't think so. Let me quote myself:
