I'm having a little trouble with the combat in the game. I played through the game once already as a rogue and didn't have any problems, and I have started a new game as a warrior. My problem is that when I generate guard an enimy will only have to hit me once to break it, even at 50% guard.

If you're a sword and shield warrior you want both taunts in Vanguard and all of the damage reduction abilities in the sword and shield tree right away, and you want to time Shield Wall to eat most of the damage you take.  If you're a 2h Sword Warrior you shouldn't be getting hit; 2h Warrior isn't a tanking class.

Even at 100% guard, some enemies will still 1 shot you.... The guard acts as extra hp.. Early in the game, everything is a bit tough, but soon, you wont even be losing health.. As im sure you now already.. Theres really nothing special about guard.. My tanks still require Barriers to be "tanks".. I personally dont see how this setup of guard/barriers is better than just having the option to heal personally.. I could play without a Healer before.. I cannot play without a Barrier mage now..

Edit: The passives that add to max% guard are apparently broken, and not adding extra guard.. Same for accessories.. Weapons the heal on hit, guard on hit, etc are great..Any ability the generates Guard should be upgraded, as they usually double the guard gained..

guards is 25% of your health, so it absorbed 12.5% damage for free, not bad. Use shield wall to block attacks and build guard, and use bull rush to build guard, knock enemies down, and reposition quickly. Guard goes quick, and it comes quick. It's not supposed to be something you sit behind with auto attack on.

I know this is off topic but I need an answer since I don't know if this is my card acting up or not. The draw distance is TERRIBLE. I load into where my 'throne' is and don't see the throne. I have to wait a few seconds for it to pop in. I'm in the hissing wastes and the further I get away a camp in the distance disappears completely. I think these two are different issues but what is happening?

It is very off topic, but if you play on the pc the problem might be your graphics card. Either you have the graphics setting set to high to run properly, in which you only have to lower the video quality on the game. Or your problem might be that your graphics card isn't powerful enough to run the game, then you'll have to get a new card. I couldn't tell you what the problem is if you play on a console though.

I have a GTX 670. This problem isn't consistent though and apparently some other have the same problem too.
