So inquisition has DA2's problems and few strengths, but reversed.

So true.   People are just mad because Inquisition has received far less rage than what DA2 got. I can't take half of the complaints seriously.

well if you like being the errand boy for 90% of the game...

Some people may be just hating on DA:I but there are some valid complaints that the Inquisiton fanboys just brush off

(main story too short, big areas lack story relevance, too many fetch quests and power collecting is annoying)

exactly the Inquisitor is lame we really needed some evil options

not sure why Bioware removed that after DA:O and 2

I feel like BioWare took the criticism of "we don't like that most of our choices don't matter" and instead of working on the consequences of their choices more (ex siding with Meredith or Orsino ends the same) they just took out most of the choices. :pinched:

thats just classic Bioware they always go overboard and don't have their own vision

DA2 had reused enviroments and they "fix" it with adding huge lifeless areas that have no story connection or interesting NPC's

DA2's Hawke was just a normal guy and people wanted more so they make Jesus 2.0

etc.

Yeah, it's really frustrating. They always over react and do the exact opposite extreme instead of finding a balance. Didn't like the inventory system in Mass Effect? They take the inventory out entirely for ME2. People didn't like that in DA2 Hawke failed at every turn so they made the Inquisitor untouchable with almost no setback and constant victory. We needs ups AND downs guys, moments of triumph but also tragedy. I wonder if because of the backlash from all the fetch-style side quests they'll cut side quests all together for the next game instead of making some fetch and gather quests and some longer, more meaningful and branching quests.

Well, your Dalish inquisitor has a decent chance of losing their entire clan.... that's kind of a downer.  Though I guess from what I've read if that does actually happen, they don't take advantage of it in the writing to deal with that loss.

I never played the previous titles. I'm glad I started fresh. Makes me appreciate Inquisition as a standalone game.

As you should be. I wish I could say the same.

It's not nostalgia exactly, DA2 just seems better when viewed through the lens of Inquisition. Kinda like that burnt meal you ate one time would seem pretty good if you were starving to death.

lol probably

listening to fan feedback is a good thing but what Bioware does is just ridiculous

I can't take them seriously anymore they should stick with their own vision for their games

But they don't just look at the DA series

DA2 tried to appease ME fans but in the end it was only a poor man's Mass Effect

and the same with DA:I they tried to go all Skyrim but failed

I think they should read the feedback, find out what people like and don't like but also why the player feels that way and then take that into consideration when planning the next game rather than making extreme decisions. Work on things that aren't amazing (like side quests or companion tactics) don't cut them entirely, and if you're praised for certain things (characters, story, choices, character building/role play) don't suddenly shift the emphasis to other things ("exploration," combat) and neglect the things that brought people to you in the first place.
