If we're importing to DA4 from DAI, I think the keep will have to be able to upload full images of our inquisitor so we can carry him over (or at least get the same details down for us to modify and update etc).
This isn't just true of the inquisitor, but hawke also, since it'd be tough to recreate hawke in every game and ever come up with similar characters.
I mean i makes sense for DA2 because DA2 is radically different almost cartoony in style versus inquisition, but some kind of import will be key.
Just my two cents.
If the keep is replacing save import in new games, importing our DAI character looks will matter.

In my opinion, your Quizzy portrait will remain a big green hand. If there is a DA4, they will probably have the same "facial" option for Quizzy as they do for Hawke.

I wish they would have pulled the custom image from the Keep for DA2 for Hawke's customization, just so I could easily see them both side by side (the DA2 portrait and the in progress DAI Hawke). It would have made making them so much easier.
And then I wish they'd let us store our new Hawke face in the Keep. Because if any of the protagonists do show up in the future, they'll be in Frostbite, so perhaps there could be a face import function just like Mass Effects past.

I can see why they didn't for DA2 - the New engine and it wild look weird and mismatched. But create a facial code generator (not sure how that would work with the different color of eyes and tattoos ) but it CAN work.

Yeah, that is an avatar thing using keep artwork or something to that effect, not a 3d modeller.

I really would hope for face import... I mean even when people die in fiction, they never truly die... there could be ghosts, memories, resurrections...
whatever... although I am not a big fan of DA2, the meeting with Hawke did give me that special BioWare icing on this game...
I still hope there will be a scenario where we create a new character and get the option to recruit into our companions the HoF, the CoK and the Inq.
One party made of all my player characters... now this seams like a really sweet dream, that still might come true

It's not really anything they need to worry about until DA4. And then only if the Inquisitor makes an appearance.

Your assuming we will see hawke or the inquisitor in the next game. If we are truly going north as Bioware stated, there's no reason for the inquisitor to be up there and hawke could be dead due to the events surrounding weisshaupt.
After everything that happens in Inquisition I highly doubt Bioware would just decide to kill a player character off offscreen. And I'd really rather they didn't... Not to mention, what is the big fascination with killing off Hawke/the Warden? You could just as easily say they aren't around and they still would have a legitimate reason for not being in the game.
That all being said, if there isn't a way for the Keep to track the face paramaters for our Inquisitor, I wouldn't mind having to redo their face if it was necessary. Going from my own experience - it took me a good half an hour tinkering to get my first character the way I wanted her to look. I just recently started a new playthrough and tried to recreate my original Inquisitor - took me about 2 minutes and wound up looking pretty much identical. (hair color was off by a shade, and I purposely changed the color of her tattoo, but those are the only things I've noticed) So it's not like you're guaranteed to spend an hour or so in CC remaking a character in a future game, just because it took you an hour the first time.
Then again, my custom Hawke ended up looking nothing like how she did in DA2 - and I was using picture references while attempting to make her in Inquisition, so your mileage may vary.
But either way, they're only ever going to bring the Warden/Hawke/IQ back if they feel the story calls for it. It likely won't be for just a cameo, and we most likely won't see all of them show up at once. Personally, I don't really mind having a secondary CC pop up in that case, for whichever former protagonist we're about to meet. ![]()
