I've never brought Viv along, barely ever bring Cole along either. Cass is probably my least used warrior

Same as jib524. I don't use Cole much at all. A ranged rogue like Sera or Varric, I use Solas only a few times after I get Dorian and Vivi who I switch between. If I am a sword and board I don't use Cassandra or Blackwall, but if I am a twohander I switch between them and don't use Iron Bull.

Cole and iron bull because the AI is terrible at melee that is not a tank.

Viv because I dont like her pro circle stance.

I didn't use Vivienne and Solas as much as I would like to. Problem is that they are mages, my Inquisitor is a mage and I always brought Dorian along.

Iron Bull and Varric. I dislike Bull as a character and I never really need a 2H warrior. Both times I've played as a rogue so Varric got benched for Sera.

Who is always in my party? Dorian. Never leave Skyhold without him. Poor thing. He's probably so exhausted from running around everywhere with me that he WANTS to stay in his comfy chair.

I can imagine him gazing at it sadly, saying: "Ah, once this chair used to be molded to my perfect ass. Alas, no more."

I can only play ranged characters so I tend to leave behind Varric who I love, Vivienne and Dorian.  Solas goes everywhere, I regularly change out my tanks and if im just trying to complete a map I take out Cole cuz I love him but I alternate him and Sera.

I like to switch things up but I almost never take Viv or Sera...Blackwall gets left behind a lot to.

I actually rotate my companions pretty  well except for Sera. She almost never comes along. I may take her out 2 or 3 times tops. I'm about to do a playthrough where I tell her to grow up and get lost. I hope she comes back and does something to my character. (He can be a bit of an ass).

I think he's the strongest mage in the game. Give him fire and full necro and he'll have everyone fleeing in terror. I think he even panicked a pride demon...or maybe that was the wall of fire, lol. Either way, he's always my go-to mage.

And then his spirit mark....it's a simple switch to his character to end the spell. I never found it annoying at all.

Viv and IB: Their AI is too stupid to use their specializations. They don't survive unless I babysit them.

I find Blackwall about as interesting as drying paint. I never take him with me unless I have to. I rarely take Sera, either. I like her, but a little of her goes a long way. Cassandra and Dorian are almost always with me, I can't resist either of them.

I dunno. I guess it varies? I play a Mage KE PC so it's usually Vivienne but when I use a non-mage its usually Blackwall since I'd play a Champion Warrior.

I have more preferable companions, and both have a good reasons to earn permanent spot at Skyhold.

My favorite group is Cass, Varric, and then the third person is dependant on what I'm currently playing- I used Sera for the Rogue almost always, but this time around I'm going to concentrate on getting Varric as powerful as I can to see how he does.

 

I use Vivienne sometimes, but I honestly don't like to because I can't stand her banter. The only person she gets along with is IB.

 

I use IB as a sword and shield wield only for dragon hunting.

 

The people I use the least is Cole, Dorian, and Blackwell.

So sad Blackwall is a dutiful Warden, even after his reveal. He could be a cool renegade character.
