Why? Why would you even write this up as a serious suggestion? I'd rather pay money once and get the whole game thank you very much.
If ever there was a thread an EA rep would read on this forum, this one is it for sure.

Maybe this is a test to see how we would react?
Hit it Sebastian!
This is just me but...
I still can't get my head around the fact that somebody thinks it's a good idea.
I've seen some crazy sh*t on the BSN but I think this one wins the trophy.
Yeah same here I had to read it twice to check if I didn't miss anything.
Nope nope nope nope!

Sad thing is.. I can actually see BW doing this.

Lets hope that'll never happen. That would be a sad day.
I absolutely love Inquisition! Having played it, I can't help but feel that the game was originally designed with micro-transactions in mind. A lot of elements and mechanics feel reminiscent of a freemium title.
So it got me thinking to rethink Inquisition in such a way that the mechanics could be used for incorporating micro-transactions. Here is what I think a freemium version version of DA:I would look like:
-Speeding up War Table missions by paying 500 gold for each 30 minutes of wait time. The player would have to pay with gold he/she obtained throughout the game or buy gold packs similar to the multiplayer.
-Buy extra Inquisition perks for 4.99 each.
- Tier 2 and 3 rare crafting material packs for 3.99 each containing 30 items.
- Tier 2 and 3 rare schematic packs for 4.99 each containing 5 items.
-After every death the player is given the option to restart from the last checkpoint by paying 5000 gold or waiting 30 minutes to "recover" his/her party. Or to skip to the checkpoint before the last one.
-After every successful mission, the party takes weapon and armour damage. The player has to wait 30 minutes(and multiplied by the level of the player) before he/she can start another mission. He/she can of course skip all this for 500 gold(and multiplied by the level of the player).
-Buy a Power pack for 4.99 containing 5 Power points.
I know some of these seem pretty annoying. But some packs could be useful for those with less time. I'm pretty thankful that bioware didn't do this with the SP. Two thumps up for them.
(1) You can already cheat the war table timer by changing the system clock
(2) You can duplicate and change any crafting resource in your inventory with a CheatEngine script
(3) If you save regularly, restoring to the last checkpoint is unnecessary
(4) Power is really easy to gain by regular means.
Also, you'd have to change fundamental mechanics of the game to implement all of that, and adding a big annoyance factor to the game after it's been published won't go well, that I can tell you. IMO the damage in reputation to EA from something like this would easily outstrip the financial gains. As it is, DAI is good for EA's reputation, not the least for avoiding things like this, day 1 DLC and other things people usually find annoying, and I think EA needs that.

Indeed so. May be a troll, actually.

Bioware made the War Table missions too long to complete. The War Table is the perfect example for micro-transactions. I don't want anything else to do with micro-transactions but being able to use the advisers more at the War Table would be very nice. ATM the War Table is a waste of time except the need of it to get into quests and zones.

I agree that many war table missions take too long to complete, but the preferred solution to that problem is to reduce the required time for some war table missions in a patch.
If I couldn't cheat with the system clock, I'd rather leave the game running in the background on my PC than pay for faster completion. That would be demeaning.

I thought so too, Ieldra.
And shhh... cause if, hypothetically, this actually happens... it would be amusing to see people actually paying for these things. So don't tell. ![]()

On a certain level, it would be kind of hilarious getting banned from the game for changing the system clock.

I can actually picture the mods on this forum doing that... ![]()
Wait, some people actually WANT micro-transactions in their games????? ![]()

"Demeaning"?
There is no reason for the long wait times as is.
And no.

The clock runs whenever you play the game or not, so one solution is to pick up the long missions and then go do other things with your life outside the game. Are there people who play the game 24/7 for months? You need to sleep, you need to eat, you probably have other things to do too.
I somewhat liked this actually, it gave me the sense that while i'm doing stuff, my advisors are busy with theirs, that things happen while I'm gone (if that makes sense).
I think these are all terrible, not good, very, very bad ideas. Really, no.
This isn't a mobile game. The last thing I need is a pop up every five minues asking if I want "different way" of accessing content.
No.
sorry, but that's an even worse idea......
in my opinion, interactions and conversations with companions should never be a premium feature.
He is trolling, throwing sarcasm at Bioware, guys...Otherwise is mental
i actually had no issues with the war table missions in my last playthrough. i actually kept running out and kept sending my advisors to collect resources a lot. for the longer missions, it's as simple as just starting them right before you finish playing for the day. by the time i get home from work the following day, it's done.
What? No. How do you even come up with ideas like this? And, less time? You do realize this is a single player game right? You are not in competition with ANYONE. Power is easy to get. Mats are easy to get. It doesn't require much at all.
Freemium games are the worst of the worst. They end up costing way more than a regular game does in order for you to "progress" with anything.
