Bioware made the War Table missions too long to complete. The War Table is the perfect example for micro-transactions. I don't want anything else to do with micro-transactions but being able to use the advisers more at the War Table would be very nice. ATM the War Table is a waste of time except the need of it to get into quests and zones.

I disagree. With current system, player can finish pretty much every War Table quest if they also do most of the "normal" side quests. It spreads more or less evenly through the whole play.

If a microtransaction like this were allowed, BW would have to also add a bunch of new missions, because - and I'm sure of it -  a lot of people would start to complaint, that they run out the middle of a playthorugh.

The key, I think,  is to actually plan. What I do, is start longest available missions just before I go to sleep. They are (in 99% of cases) done by the time I start to play next day.

While i very much hate this idea, i can see how he came to it, the game very much screams, give money to release the grind..

Pay money to reload back into the game when you die, or have to wait?

That is literally the worst idea for micro-transaction i've ever heard in my life, and if Bioware did anything like that they'd get bashed about it so much it wouldn't even be funny

Maybe the Op is a secret EA spy or the CEO, seeing as both he and EA love Micro Transactions.

It actually could be worse than that. Remember when the ex head of EA said something like "I don't think people would mind paying a dollar to reload every time they run out of ammo." in FPS games. That is still the worst imo.

I can see where this can go.

- Always online

- 50 power points for 10$ or something like that

- Power points will be required for everything important like buying high quality gear, story related quests etc Increase the number of power points required for everything drastically. Reduce good quality gear in random chests and add chests unlocks with power points with the chance of acquiring good quality gear.

- Increase requisition requirements like needing 50 Iron instead of 5. Only 10 requisition quests doable per day so free players don't get much.

- No more free supply caches and potions. Need to be crafted like everything and resources will be made available at merchants. Buy resources with gold, gold with power points and power points with real money.

- Can also refill potions with power points directly and power points can be purchased from anywhere.

- Companion unlocks, companion quest unlocks, romance unlocks all tied to real money and power points.

That should suffice as a start. The game already has the system built in, the developers just need a push.

[...] Pay $29.99 for a better boss fight with Cory?

Lol, reminds me of the Director's Cut of Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I think it's safe to assume that this is a troll...

Or... could be an EAWare secret agent... but I'm gonna go with troll.

The lines are blurred, though. You never know when it comes this lot on the BSN.

I prefer the term "visionary" myself.

I suppose so...

I mean, if you look at it from EA/BW's perspective it is genius...

From a customer's perspective, though?

Not so much.

From a customer who actually thinks it's a good idea's perspective... just LOL.

This is a really terrible idea.  If I wanted to play micro transactions games I'd go to facebook.  That place has roughly 9 million games like you described, and I think it's about 8.5 million more then the world needed in the first place.

The DA fans don't seem to be that savvy with their moolah, either that or everybody is rich. There was a thread in Feedback and Suggestions where the OP offered to pay $9.99 for a few more hairstyles in the CC. It was echoed by more fans offering to pay "whatever they (Bioware) want."

Oh yeah. I saw that thread.

But what can I say... the human race like to cling to their vanity.

I would be willing to pay for hair cuts AND options to have different clothes at skyhold. Not just hair cuts though.

As much as the hairstyles and bland pyjamas suck... I couldn't bring myself to pay.

No, no, no, no, no NO. This is exactly what's wrong with today's gaming industry.

Instead of realizing that 15-28 hours might be a tad too long for a text quest, a company should charge money to make them shorter? This sets such a terrible precedent. It's pretty much telling the company that you're willing to pay them money if they fix in game problems that can easily be set for free.

What's next? Pay $19.99 to resolve the Mage/Templar conflict peacefully? Pay $29.99 for a better boss fight with Cory?

Lol (has to restrain hand from reaching for credit card).

Because I play on PC I'm more than happy to wait for modders to get decent hair in-game. That said, Bioware needs to get their **** together with regard to hair. This is easily the worst hair I've seen in just about any recent video game, and it's one of the easiest things Bioware can fix. It has nothing to do with gameplay or level designs, it's literally just something you slap on a head, and they're all terrible. Why females need eight different shaved head options I will never understand, and I see the same three styles in almost every screenshot. And it's not even "Oh, I like this," it's "Well, this will have to do." If I played on console, I'd try to bribe Bioware with money for better hair.

I honestly don't know what went through their heads when they implemented the hairstyles/eyebrows...

What the f is wrong with them?

Even worse playing as a Qun... why couldn't they just give them the same options as everyone else? If horns are the issue.. make it hornless...

Armour is another thing. I actually felt embarrassed.

Glad none of that is in the single-player. Inquisition is a better game for not including any of those. Waiting 30 minutes to "recover"? No thanks.

Thing is, if BioWare releases something like a "Power Package" (15 power for $2.99), BioWare Zealots will use this to tell other customers that merciful BioWare employees gave the customers a workaround for the boring fetch quests and war table missions. It's a win win.
