That does sound pretty logical. But it does bring in to question the use of the doe as symbolism for Rachel. If it's Nathan buried there, why would the developers show the doe twice in previous episodes?

But about the junkyard...

I'm with the theory that suggests that it's not Rachel's body that they found in the junkyard. Just because she has been missing for far too long for her remains that that strong of an odor. I also find it hard to believe that her "story" would just end like that in Episode 4. The ghost doe at the junkyard scene suggests that it is her through its symbolism, but from both a technical and storytelling point of view, I don't buy it.

I also want to believe that maybe it's Nathan who's dead and buried right now. He's been totally MIA, and since he's so miserable and sucks so much, his character is just asking for it.

More seriously though - I believe it takes as a little as a few hours for corpses to start smelling, which can align with Nathan's absence for most of the day. And, in that last shot right before Max gets injected, you can see the grave revealing blue and white clothing. More like a blue sweater over a white top, which matches Nathan's outfit:



Poor kid if this were the case. I would guess that he objected to using Victoria as the next victim and threatened Jefferson that he would reveal his crimes, thereby provoking him. It was probably Jefferson who sent that last text. If it was really Nathan, it would have the grammatical errors of his usual raving lunatic self.

 

Good laugh in the morning, hehe. Or one in the afternoon. Just woke up after a night shift. That'd be totally awesome!

Well considering what Max has just gone through by the end of Episode 4, and what she's about to go through come Episode 5, it would not surprise me if she did kill or at least seriously maim Mr. Jefferson. I mean, she just saw Chloe shot point blank in the head, she just dug up a body, and now she's being severely drugged by someone she trusted. And, quite possibly, even sexually assaulted by said person.

It truly would not surprise me if Max went, pardon the lame joke, "Ape".

 

I completely agree. She just found out that one of Chloe's friends was killed in cold blood. She WITNESSED Chloe be killed in cold blood. She has been KIDNAPPED, and is likely to be killed. The human mind is an interesting construct. The instinct of self-preservation can turn the biggest pacifist into a cold-blooded killer. The will to survive can bring a person through the hardest of times.

If we go all the way back to the beginning of the game, it is worth remembering that Nathan is indeed armed at this point. I wonder if we'll have to convince him of how he has been manipulated by Jefferson, to which maybe Nathan runs off in a rage to kill Jefferson. Of course, this means that there will have to be something substantial enough to prove it to him from episode 5. I think this might be roughly how it ends. I think we are largely all of the opinion that we'll have to go back to the start to allow Chloe to die at the correct time (we can't forget about the storm)

I guess as much, however, he is a loose cannon and clearly does not think of the consequences of his actions (I mean, he killed Chloe in the first episode because she was 'trying to control' him). So I believe that you are correct in that it is unlikely that even his father would not be able to save him, but I doubt Nathan would even think, simply acting out. Nathan is quite impulsive, and that's really what makes him dangerous
