Me? I smiled and hugged her. She was taken away, it seemed.

 

When I finished it, though, my angry inner beast woke up. It was more along the lines of countless swearwords, saying how everything is totally FUBAR, and calling the big bad a sick f*ck in a disgusted tone of voice. Also, I may have laughed maniacally upon reading a "modified" Wiki page of the big bad, that read "Alive (for now)" and later "Alive (gonna be f*cking DEAD)"

What's impressed me most is that the clues are all there if you look.
I'm tempted to play through again just to look at everything with a more nuanced eye.

I actually blamed jefferson at the end of episode 2, but then rewound to blame Nathan. It was the conversation with Kate that made me pause.

I'd recommend some Tales From the Borderlands for some lighter fare to help balance things out, but the end of the last chapter of that Still had me itching for some payback

It comes full circle that way. The evil wrought by people creates monsters all the time. Magneto is a prime example of this. Not saying its right. Just an inevitability.

Anyone have any fancy ideas about the homeless woman by Two Whales, post Ep4? I have a feeling nothing will come of her since its easy for alot of players to have completely missed her. But like Samuel, she is eerily mystifying, and has alot of interesting theories attached to her. I hope something of significance comes out of either of these two.

But like Samuel, she is eerily mystifying, and has alot of interesting theories attached to her. I hope something of significance comes out of either of these two.

 

Maybe  if you warned her of the visions, she will seek shelter in the lighthouse, where I'm guessing the climax of the story will take place.

 

As for Samuel, that stone grave he made for the birds, there's also one near the lighthouse. So maybe he will be there too, or even be the one that takes Max to the lighthouse.

 

Yeah, maybe not fancy ideas, but ideas nonetheless. Sort of.

If she was warned, I think she got out of town or decided to find shelter and maybe warn others.

I think it's likely she gets out if you warn her, and dies if you don't.

 

I think with a lot of characters, we might see something or hear something about them in the final episode about what becomes of them (and we'll probably have to assume what happens to a few of them as well based on the information we get) but there are a lot of characters that to end all of their arcs, it would take a while and might clog up the flow of the story. So characters like the homeless woman, I wouldn't go expecting anything special.

was anyone even remotely surprised it was Jefferson who showed up at the junkyard? not once during the previous episodes did I think he was up to something, but his appearances in episode 4 somehow made it obvious to me something was up. I can't really pinpoint what exactly did it, but by the time he syringed Max the surprise value had dropped to 0

I actually missed the forest for the trees (I hope that's the correct translation for the idiom I wanted to use ). 

 

Playing LiS again from the start the warning signs are basically everywhere, but in my first playthrough it hit me totally unprepared. I was a bit confused that he would come to a student party to announce the winner of a school contest, but I was far too focused on Nathan to actually bother. Tunnel vision much?

I wasn't too surprised either at that point, he was very shady throughout that entire episode. I didn't think it before episode 4 though. I mean, he was shady in episode one, but I sort of brushed that aside afterwards. I thought he was actually going to be a good guy when he shot Victoria down, and that made me assume that perhaps his relationship with Rachel was just a rumour. They did make him extra creepy throughout episode 4 though, and, unlike Victoria, he literally shot Chloe down... which obviously sealed the deal. I think the thing that made it most obvious to me was the equipment in the Dark Room. The files seemed rather symbolic of a teacher's office. I also figured that Nathan's father would not have shipped him all of that expensive camera equipment due to his disappointment in his son, and a famous photographer was the only other person who could have provided such funds (and the equipment was all photography based)

When Max and Chloe went into the secret bunker, I suspected it was Jefferson because of the fancy tripods and the immense printer, which reminds me of when Max comments on the fancy equipment in Jefferson's classroom. It just seemed like something well beyond Nathan's interests. The entire setup just seemed out of his league, despite his money. Also, when Max encounters Nathan at 2 whales, he blurts out Rachel's name and is angered when it's not her. He's kind of batshit, but not that much so. Also, the meta-game-y side of me just couldn't accept the orgy of evidence that pointed to Nathan.
