If Tell Tale doesn't pick up the slack. (Months waiting for one EP that lasts 60 minutes) then these guys are going to pick it up. I'm glad to see Tell Tale has a counter part. I really enjoy these espoide gaming.

So I was in this weird mood where I wanted to play something I could control with a controller and I had nothing else, so I decided to forget about waiting and play this.
I'd say it took me about 3.5 hours, maaaybe 4, to play through, which is decent enough. But it's pretty awesome in its own way. The dialog can be cringie sometimes, but it feels like a larger-than-life version of a school with the clique and such. I think they did a pretty good job with their portrayal of the characters, especially so with the characters who are supposed to be sinister. The amount of choices is very strong. I doubt they'll all mean something significant (though I look forward to the conversations about people's plants dying), but they're cool to have all the same. And a number of them are actually kind of difficult to choose between.
I also strongly, strongly recommend you do NOT look at your choices afterwards, I did and saw multiple things I hadn't even noticed in the episode. I look forward to playing again and encountering these and others I missed.

It'll be interesting playing Gone Home to see what similarities there are. Why is one game seemingly getting a lot of praise & fandom where the other seems to be the butt end of a lot of jokes & angst if they are actually similar? It's weird but when I've seen LiS brought up in places or by people that I associate with being critical of GH, they seem to enjoy or accept LiS. Someday I'll play GH & perhaps then whatever LiS is doing right will be more evident.

I don't think they're the same at all. I haven't played Gone Home, but from what I hear it's a game where you the player walk around alone in a house and figure out the story of two lesbian lovers and their growing up days. You don't actually interact with any of it though.
However, LiS is completely the opposite, features a ton of interaction. There are monologues, but they're of the character you're playing as, not of some figure off in the past. Plus, LiS has a much more Twin Peaks feel (again, from what I've heard, having never seen Twin Peaks)--there are some very strong "sinister" elements to it. The murder, the security guard, the tornado.
Edit: I would love to know what females think of how the girls are portrayed in this game, if it's very realistic or not (the "cool" girl refusing to let a not-cool girl move past her for example, and all the gossip). It's pretty funny to encounter, but I'm not sure it's so realistic.

That it most definitely do not. Alan Wake & Deadly Premonition play like a game iteration of Twin Peaks, Life is Strange plays like a game that could have been conceived by David Cage, as the dialogue seem to be just as awkwardly written as that of Beyond Two Souls. Gone Home was a game which story was conveyed through the environment, exploration was key to piecing the story together, whereas Life is Strange plays like a Telltale game mixed with that of David Cage's brigade of honky boys and teenage drama writing. The comparisons can at best be summarized to that of an homage towards 90s grungy teenage culture like in Gone Home. They both share a plot that seemingly juggles around a similar theme in regards to girlhood and the difficulties of going from child to adolescent. They both share that particular vibe, something which is also found in a lot of French indie film revolving around the teenage subject as of late.

Life is Strange looks very loosely and barely inspired by Twin Peaks.
Like just one bit of its mish mash of references.
At the foremost, it still feels like an after school special.
With some swears.
Still something that feels more gamey and fun though, compared to Gone Home.

I'm waiting to buy this game until all episodes are out. But if they're already delaying for episode 2, I wonder how long the overall wait will be? :/

Apparently Dontnod is claiming that it's not delayed at all, and that it's "on track" to come out before the end of March.

We'll see if that happens.

Remember Me was pretty cool it was just kind of like a lot of big AAA games like Uncharted etc, where the game itself is basically a mishmash between a Zelda clone and some 3rd person action game. It wasn't really that different or exciting, the world itself though was like some kind of Blade Runner/5th element mash-up that was pretty entertaining though.

It was a clear 7/10 to me.
But an endearing one!

Amazing atmosphere, and the mundane school life, crazy rich kids on power trips, missing girls and creepy stepdads was all just as, if not even more interesting than the time travel and the massive storm. Though I guess they'll somehow all be related.

Does anyone experience nausea while playing this game? It's so frustrating. There's no motion sensitivity options either.

While I'd prefer a monthly release bimonthly isn't half bad. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Finally finished Part 1 myself -- A short verdict. Despite the greviances of the occasionally awful dialogue, there's a certain amount of depth in terms of characterization and interaction.. I think that's where the game's true complexity lies .. in its character development as opposed to gameplay mechanics, but the time reverse-stuff is actually rather cathartic in a lot of ways to how it affects the main lead's psyche and the few actual gameplay aspects outside of the conversation trees.
It definitely does a lot of things better than Gone Home, where I thought Gone Home was let down by not trying enough with any gameplay aspects like BioShock; Life is Strange, however, has the neat time reverse mechanic that grants a very unique aspect on the protagonist's actions, as she stumbles or breaks a vase then reverses time to undo the faults -- Plus, a lot like Gone Home, there's a broader story told in its environment as a lot of objects are interactive and can be examined.
It's still got potential -- I'm glad it at least does a lot more than that of a Telltale game at least.

Agreed.
It has a bunch to it that could have made it terrible, but its still pretty fun despite those things (oh god, some of that script..).

That's an awesome trailer. I only hope they didn't give away the entire plot for episode 2.
