To reiteriate, I love how the game is hitting all the notes right, like say Steins Gate, Infinite or Mr Nobody, in regards to the weight that time travel carries. Like the title implies, in regards to the Butterfly effect, the smallest alteration can cause massive changes somewhere else, usually time and death go hand-inhand where there is always a conduit, a paradox, or an event, in the form of say a person (whose fate is ultimately always the same only its different all the time) that has to happen in order to resolve the timeline -- Time always flows in only one direction. It also showcases the psychological damage it causes on its participants, which is what makes it so engaging in regards to the story.

I really enjoyed this episode.  Felt like the story was really hitting its stride here.

Finished the episode last night

I stole the money, Kissed chloe (I ship max and chloe), sided with chloe, kept the dog from harm. Great episode, The ending Had me depressed for the rest of the day. I hope max fixes this and ends back up in the original timeline.

Episode 4 can't come soon enough.

It is a great episode but just don't finish the 3rd episode until episode 4 or maybe 5 comes out that's what you do.

think about it now it is probably just for hiding the truth from the principal  and taking blame because for what at  the core gets you suspended

But I quite the tone if you get suspended so much better than not getting suspended

Episode 3 was so good!!! I began speculating on the ending close to the end but still didn't see that exactly happening!

 

The implications...this game has been really good and I hope more like it come out

The episode has definitely left me thinking on a few things.

The photos seems to be gateways between timelines, and I imagine Max will use the one she took of Chloe and her father to fix things, let it all play out the way it should again. Incidentally, when I think about it, it's possible that Rachel and Max might be one and the same person; Perhaps explaining why they are never in the same place together, because they can't coexist, taking into account that Rachel is seemingly the polar opposite of what Max is..  and people keep mistaking Max for Rachel when wearing her clothes too, they oddly suit her quite well. It's just a thought best and not necessarily true at all but one can't help but wonder.

 

I don't think the new timeline would be permanent, if it did then it would deprive choice from you, undermining the whole theme of the game's story -- No, I believe that it serves as an ill omen of sorts, like the dream of a tornado by the lighthouse, to teach Max to teach Chloe that life could be worse and we make the best out of what we already have and move forward.

 

Chloe being in a wheelchair is most likely related to the whole 'cause and effect' concept, you prevent someone from dying and an equally terrible tragedy will take its place. Not so much time travel, as it is crossroads in the river, creating new leaks(new timelines) ala Stein's Gate or even like Mr Nobody in regards to the young boy's choice of whether going with his father or mother when they separate.

David is paranoid and crazy and over-protective and all that, but did not get the sense he fundamentally means harm (unlike Nathan, for ex)

He has PTSD from his military career, he seems to mean well but just goes about it the wrong way, the guy needs to chill out. Nathan seems like he's about to constantly explode thx to all the pressure from his family id say

The episode implies he's colliding with Nathan on something, should you choose to place the blame of Kate's tragic dilemma on him at the end of episode 2 then Nathan will defend him. He might mean well or he might not, he's not out of the woods yet.

Yeah I get the impression he's battling some personal demons.  He's paranoid and tightly wound, but he's not a bad person.  I've also noticed that most of the other characters, whiile they'll admit David is rather uptight, don't really dislike him, aside from Chloe.

Huh, never noticed that before.  And here I thought that aside from his fixation on 70's B-movies he was just a nice science geek.

 

I'm operating on the assumption that Rachel's still alive, and trying to get her and Chloe back together.
