So I've gotten through the first lil portion of the game, and am on Omega... according to the PMs it should be on the ship I'm assuming?  The armor shows up in my list, but can't find the gun anywhere in the armory.  Am I missing something?

Are you playing a soldier? You need to be training in Assault Rifles to use the Collector Rifle.

Are you playing a class that by default can use Assault Rifles? If not, then just wait till later on, there is a mission to become trained in them. Or you may choose do restart anyway.

Ah, thanks, that's my issue then. Playing an Infiltrator this time around, didn't realized they're not trained in em. Thanks for the info! >.<

What or where or when does this mission take place? I've finished the game (as a soldier so I don't really need to do the mission right now), and I'd like to know for my future adept character. Thanks

It happens after you pick up your 8th squad member it is required, you can't skip it and you can't go anywhere until you do it.

I just played as an Adept and used the Collectors assault rifle almost the entire game. I honestly don't remember if I had to get trained for it, but I was able to use it pretty early on.

The problem is that people confuse the Collector's Assault Rifle (the one you get with the Collector's Edition) with the Revenant.
