Let the Warden rest.
Most of the wardens are still alive, and basically the hero just means different dialogue. I want to finish my stories, and if you only have one, you should play a second one because there's so many possible outcomes.
I even had a dalish elf i intended to sacrifice, but because she romanced alistair before he left her for anora, he refused to let her and sacrificed himself. No PC bioware ever makes will take that moment on.
Your warden might be dead, but mine are certainly not "resting". Except for one, dwarven noble, and the orlesian warden who replaced him was a lot of fun to play because he got SO much hate from the people of ferelden. I have wardens who became king while alistair remained a warden (warden alistair appears in inquisition btw, as does warden loghain), spared loghain, had babies, sides with the architect and fought him, I even have a warden who killed leliana at the temple of sacred ashes, and she has a whole speech about how she survived and how much she hates him.
Their stories aren't over. They're trying to find the source of the calling and the darkspawn, which sounds fantastic... but I suppose if you'd rather be having tea with the empress of Orlais...
