Dude you will probably die with laughter.

How can he analyses Tali's sweat? She's wearing a skin tight space suit, a space tchador/gypsy scarf and a breathing mask. Or did I miss something nasty?

LOL.

I thought the same thing myself.

I wouldn't touch Tali with a 10 ft pole so maybe we should ask somebody with some experience in the matter...

I've also wondered, does she leave the mask on?

LOL wasn't there a huge outrage over a pic of Tali in Shep's cabin (if romanced) if I remember correctly?

Can't say that anything's ever really been ruined for me because of fans, since I don't let goofballs prevent me from enjoying stuff I would otherwise enjoy. Although, sometimes the bellyaching can be a bit much. I admit, if BioWare decided to unceremoniously kill the Warden off-screen, I would probably laugh. No doubt I'd be p*ssed as well, but the schadenfreude would mitigate this somewhat.

I recall reading about it somewhere... and supposedly it made many people rage.

I googled it too... and find myself experiencing this more than I'd like to admit.

Why rage? Did they wanted the mystery unveiled, to see the naked truth at last, for BW to insert the Key of Clarity into Tali's mesmerizing sweaty...

my, oh my...all this Internet rage..ooohhhh, ooohh, so toxic and passionate....oh, Amelia...

Sorry.

I'll go take my morning shower now. ;)

Actually I think they saw it and she looked human... and that's probably what made them mad. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anybody... as I'm not one hundred percent sure)

And LOL... hope you had Kleenex with you. ;)

faith in humanity. there was a lot of whining on Warframe forums lately about a certain tactical alert. People were crying it's too hard and they got one shotted. two things, 1: this mission was the first TACTICAL mission in this game i've ever seen and it was fun. tactical means it required a bit of thinking and planning - the composition of your team (it's not much, but still) and timing, not rushing with your gun, grinning like an idiot; 2: this kind of content is optional, if you cannot do it - don't, game won't punish you - you simply won't acquire some lame badge or whatever. if you are unable to think, don't expect rest of the f..n population to be at your level.

at this point i'm scared of replaying ancient games for the rest of my life

Fanbase: "Waaaah, I'm a man and I don't want men hitting on me!"  and "Waaah, turning down a LI is difficult cause they no like me after!"

Now no one hits on my Gay PC unless I sexually harass them. <_<

Fanbase: "Waaaah, I can't handle other players being mean in their own games."

Now all I can do roleplay having a slight attitude problem. <_<

Fanbase: "Waaaah, Too much personality! I want to spend hours downloading a game just to I can play imaginary in my own head."

Now I have a bland neutral biscuit of a Protag to spend hours with <_<

Fanbase: "Varric is soooooo awesome! He is like the best companion ever."

Now I have to deal with him for two games and possibly more. -_-

Fanbase: "Waaah, I killed most of my companions and (Insert compliant here)."

Now we can hardly get rid of these people except through metagaming during a 2nd pt.  <_<

In short, yes.

Spot on, Hazegurl.

I've had that discussion about Anders in another thread, and what boggled my mind was... if you're straight, Anders hits on you, you turn him down and you get a bit of rivalry from it... does it really matter?

And yeah... end result you pretty much have to brown-nose and go through the process of impressing your LI, and while this isn't such a bad thing... but I also like the idea of sexual chemistry and flirting before things get serious... not be boring, say a couple of lame pick up lines with very little in return... I dunno. It's almost like your LI is thinking, "Meh. I'll bang you. You helped me, so why not?"

Yes, lack of personality. Man do I miss sarcastic Hawke... Sarcastic Inquisitor is just embarrassing. But I think the problem lies with how much the games have diversified (game-play wise) separating DA fans into different camps, so when one lot is happy the other is not, and vice-versa. Having created a clashing fanbase would not bode well... I mean, it's a bit like politics. I shouldn't need to go further than that.

Exactly.  The game is clearly being changed to become more console centric and understandably the PC players are not happy.

I can't blame them, but once they've departed, the fanbase will become more unified.

True...

I suppose these issues existed beforehand.

However... I've noticed as the years go by, political issues and the way they are forced down your throat seems to be expanding into every corner of culture, particularly media.

Movies seem to get left alone but a lot of focus is on video games and I've also noticed literature as well...

The way I see it, this PC brainwashing propaganda machine is just getting larger and progressing throughout time, gradually.

Strange that you mention literature because the book industry is completely dominated by women. The (very) large majority of publishers, editors, authors, reviewers, buyers and readers are all women. So I don't see why anyone would want to change that ...

I see the fanbase as something useful. I don't read much codex-entries so I'm thankful of the people who compile this information (and use it to fuel their crazy hypotheses)

Amen.

As one of the few (around 40% according to a survey I read once) who actually liked the ending of ME2 I got so much hate I just left the main forum.

Being on the receiving end doesn't bother me, but people who are so blind they can't see both sides annoy me with their ignorance.

Well, in regard to literature... back in the day when Harry Potter was first created, certain circles wanted the book banned due to "Satanic/occult references"..

Pretty sure 50 Shades has copped it too... due to its content and encouragement of "unhealthy dominating relationships" or something... interestingly enough, women wrote these books.

Evidently, they never succeed in having these books banned.

The thing that drives me insane is their tendency to move towards reactionary binaries. It's like there's a ban on nuance. NO GREY ALLOWED. Though this is not a problem with fanbases specifically, it seems to happen whenever a bunch of people with a common interest come together for and about that interest. But I really detest it. I am very fond of grey. I really dislike taking an extremist stance on just about anything and the way interest groups seem to actively foster (though maybe not consciously) that kind of mentality is exceedingly irksome to me.

Right, Just take your rivalry points and move on already.

That's basically how the DAI romances feel. I had to force a different feeling with Dorian, who just kept dropping flirtatious hints and I chose to ignore them all until I wanted to start the relationship and even then it's after helping him out.  lol!

Hitting on Cass, IB, and Josie was like digging a freaking trench. I just started to feel like some sort of creeper. Left them alone ever since. I'm not a big Zevran or Anders fan but even I enjoyed interacting with them in a flirtatious manner because they were both very proactive.

I do hope they find some sort of balance for the next game. I don't know if I can handle another bland PC with a monotone voice. People actually have tones, inflections et al. to convey emotions.

Amen.

They wouldn't, because things only need to be more diverse if something is seen as a "boys club" especially if those guys are supposedly cis gendered, straight and white. You see all female offices and companies get praised for breaking boundaries, but an all male company would be called exclusive, intolerant and misogynistic.

Videogames are the target now, with the industry and especially the fanbase (as though all gamers are the same or have a hive mind) are purposely trying to exclude women and the LGBT community. Despite people of all colours, gender, and sexualities considering themselves gamers, and playing games in droves. Many formed the #NotYourShield movement on twitter, because they were sick of (mostly middle/upper class straight white) men and women getting offended on their behalf and trying to radically change the hobby that they love.

i do like DA2

the story part (much better than DA:O) and lack of the ultimate evil guy, it was all gray, i could sympathize with the villain (Arishok)! and sarcastic Hawke was actually funny. the gameplay was terrible (decades behind DA:O), but at least it wasn't boring
