OK so this is like the thread I've made in the ME forums, about the little details that you may have overlooked even after multiple playthroughs. No doubt there are some little details yet to be discovered in Inquisition, so I thought it'd be fun to point out those minor things that you find amusing and may not have noticed before.

 

This one should have been more obvious to me from the get-go, but I never quite noticed before that there's a couple of people in Skyhold's main hall that occasionally gossip about the Inquisitor's relationship, and it progresses as the relationship does (they even comment on the exchange of gifts). My Inquisitor had already run through the entire course of Sera's romance, and these two seem to comment on it. I love when the guy comments how there will be two gowns, and says "Which will win, scandal or fashion?" and the woman says "I love both! Don't make me choose!"

When Erimond runs away Loghain will note that Adamant is the only place he could be going. He then remarks how it's fortunate that an old friend gave him maps of the area. The gifts that you can give Loghain in DAO are maps.

We all know about the krogan head. There's one in Halamshiral, and I think there's another somewhere in Val Royeaux/Orlais. Possibly the place where you meet the assassin during Josephine's personal quest.

 

You can find Grey Warden dwarves around Skyhold after Here Lies The Abyss.

 

The note on the side of the stairs in Skyhold updates after main quests. Wasn't until my 2nd game I found that.

 

I could be wrong about this, but it seems that Sera, in addition to being treated as a human for equipment purposes, is also the height of a female human. Again, I could be wrong, as I've yet to play my Sera romance, which shall be with a human female (mage). I'm basing it on when she's in her little balcony. My female elf seems to be shorter.

 

You can flirt with Dorian as a female, even after finding out that he's not interested, and the same goes for some other companions (ex: Cullen), which only happens if you break up with them.

 

Sera cuts her own hair.

 

You can find Maryden Halewell in Val Royeaux, before you get to Skyhold. She's the bard at the cafe, but you can't click on her, and she doesn't seem to do anything.

 

Sera is youngest companion, or else is the 2nd youngest after Cole. She seems to have been less than 10 years old during the Blight. Possibly around 5.

 

There are codices in Val Royeaux, on trees. There are 3 trees that have codices on them.

 

It is possible to reach the foot of the small tower at the top of the mountain in Emprise Du Lion, and wander around the areas. BioWare didn't seem to think that people might run across the giant chains. Funnily enough, there is a vein of silverite on the other side of the chain, though it can't be mined. You can reach the opposite side of the door that won't open, as well as the turrets at the top, and other parts.

The little moments in this game make me feel at home. I've had so many of them, and now that I might post about them I can't recall any specific one. So here's just a post of general appreciation.

The two are standing not far from the entrance, between Varric and the dwarf that assembles the mosaic tiles. They're not there all the time, but you'll occasionally see a man in the orlesian mask talking to a woman, and if you don't rush past them you might hear them make passing comments relevant to the relationship.

When you go to confront the assassin in Val Royeaux for Scribbles, her conversation with the tied up Comte in the cabinet is hilarious, considering he's also gagged and yelling instructions.

Yeah, far as I can tell, the masked Orlesian and the woman are the only ones that gossip.

 

Yeah I noticed the three in the main hall in the beginning, but I didn't know where the fourth one was until I took a closer look around Vivienne's hangout.

I love the gossiping people in the main hall! And the people who keep discussing religion/darkspawn/the fade are awesome as well.
