So, a trend I have been noticing for the past week is those who choose to ignore treasure rooms joining public games and screwing it up for the rest of us.

I don't care that you are in the top 5 for your platform worldwide. You are clearly capable of taking your ever present AW and soloing whatever game you play. So do it in a private match please. Do not join public games and teleport people just as they break a treasure room. It's ignorant and shows what a self centred jackass you are.

Yes, I am aware that ignoring treasure rooms can be more efficient. I play this game for fun just like you do, difference is I respect other players, you clearly do not.

I am sure you can carry anyone through any game - try to understand it's not fun for the rest of us.

Seriously, go into a private match. You're clearly capable of stroking your own e-peen all by yourself. I really am not impressed by your rating  / gear / ability to play a video game.

You know who you are.

I skip treasure rooms only if I agree so with other players. But,in any case I find it stoopid to ignore those free treasure rooms, which take like 20 seconds to complete.

Had a perfect example of someone trying to do this last night, they were playing a low lvl Alchemist on Threatning and bled out on almost every round

Inverse holds true, though.  I never solo-queue, usually making a room with 2 or 3 players and we've taken to skipping guarded chests.  We're all very tired of having our randoms throw hissy fits over each and every room--especially the free ones that they could just solo open and don't need a military escort to handle.  Being the one guy obsessing over pots and chests, spamming the F# keys when the rest of the team wants to move on, is just as rude.

Basically, don't be a dick if the rest of your team is approaching the game with a different mentality than your norm.

My point is exactly this, with emphasis on the word team.

Autism runs to door "I GOT THIS GUYS"

>steady stream of mobs come into room, rest of "team"  proceeds to kill.

Autism screams on comms:

"HEY!!! Guys! Why aren't you coming to help with this door?

FINE I WONT OPEN ANY MORE"

i cringe and laugh,

every time.

Kind of overstated, but I agree that if three players are working on the treasure room, it's pretty selfish to forcibly drag everyone to the next area.

I don't really care if someone wants to rambo ahead of us and kill all the things, as long as they don't get themselves, or us, killed in the process, and they're courteous enough to wait for us to finish getting the treasure.

It would be wrong to publicly identify this person.

It was Boog13, wasn't it?

The crazy thing I have seen is a lot of them don't have the skill to even do it! So while we are in the back getting the chest we start to notice mobs running into the treasure room and realize the "Speed Rusher" has met an untimely end.

There is never a single good reason (imo) that all four players should be all present in the treasure room. If I am capable I will always be ready at the door teleporting the team once they are done looting. If someone on the team really want to kill the next group of the enemies I will not clear them (which I consider waste of time but will respect other's preference).

However it's all about communication, if you don't like someone's behavior, tell them during the game, otherwise no one knows how you feel and will continue doing what's they think is for the best. Posting in this thread may get to someone but again no one will actually pay attention to your gamertag in future games.

Hope you can have more fun games in the future.

Now you're telling people that sharing their opinions about playing a game in a forum for that game is pointless?

Have you considered what that would mean by extension?

So play their game, let them get away with playing that way and then quite, like you would have anyway.  Half the time these jokers do well early on but then got themselves killed on the later waves.  Just dance on their bones when you get to them.

Wrong, totally wrong.  No reason to all be in the treasure room?  Depending on class and ability revanants and arcane horrors are two very good reasons.

Also 'the guy' running ahead gets himself killed half the time or doesn't get himself killed but just activates a spawn and you have 10 archers coming into the room as you are battling the revanant.

A team if they are on the same wavelength can clear out all treasure rooms and pots moving as one in a very efficient manner.  and get this....it is actually fun for all to fight the battles.

Key word there 'Team'

There is no 'team' for many rushers. I don't get why many of them play in public games except to screw people over. I rush occasionally myself but then I DO NOT expect support. If I screw up, it is on me. No one else. And I DO NOT teleport the team until all the chests we can get are done.

Now don't get me wrong, if the TEAM coordinates, it is not a problem. Have 1 guy go to the door to teleport everyone when all chests are opened or clear the level and THEN go get the chests. But over half the time, no one bothers.

'I HAVE TO DO IT MY WAY AND TO HELL WITH ALL OF YOU!' seems to be the PUG motto these days.

Not ALL of them, but WAY too many these days. Or then you get people who speak 4 different languages...

That... gets painful.

My favorite? When someone runs ahead, gets over their head and drags every last bit of the mob to the room where everyone's trying to take care of a Revenant...and not succeeding all that well.

Ooor...breaking into a room and dragging all the demons/bad guys/et al to the rest of the team who are fighting the rest of the enemy.

Either way, good times. Good times.

If 3 players cannot handle the chest guardian in the chest room on Threatening and below, then they are extremely new and have like starter weapons, which I will tell from the beginning. Then I will just stand outside the door keeping an eye on them.

If the "speedrunner" gets you killed, complain to them or kick them.

We base our opinions on our experience in game, and clearly you and I have completely different experience. So there no need to argue right or wrong here. The vast majority player I play with these days handle the situation just fine (clearing the chest room I mean, not the speedrunners), therefore hurrying into the treasure room is not a priority for me.
