What classes are people using to solo this? I'm thinking something that can earn high killstreaks, ability kills (and thus weapon kills), and spell combo kills. Templar seems a good fit.

Or it's misaproximation on BioWare's end. I thought we were passed the whole emotionally overreactive community thing where we take gameplay issues as grievous personal attacks? Do you honestly think they deliberately set what they perceived as an unattainable goal? What would the point of that be?

They could, actually. If it were to forward the story or something, in which case it would be fitting. I'm certainly not upset about it, not receiving the community chest, since the individual goal was easily(ish) obtainable.

Templar would probably be best in theory. They can get 5 gold medals per a routine solo.

I went with AW though myself. Took an extra game but was easy peasy and the 4 medals were basically guaranteed. I was planning on using Templar but figured it wasnt worth the extra hassle and if i missed one of the medals for whatever reason, i'd still have to do 5 games.

 

edit: Wish BW would get their act together. I don't know how they did it, but somehow they managed to make the multiplayer portion of a single player game singe player.

Judging by that, it seems that cross class combos don't account as ability kills which makes sense since you're not actually killing them an ability.

Surprised i didnt think of that. Owell on demons you should get 5 with a good enough weapon since they're abilities do dmg on demon.

Still ends up being 4 since WoH oneshots most demon scrubs. So instead of Combos you're getting Ability kills. Either way though Templar is a pretty efficient class for this.

Well I've done my part. Will probably play some more tomorrow, but its kind of painful going one gold medal at a time (immortal). Although I did find out I can solo up to round 4 as a Keeper on routine (still a scrub).

Every little bit counts right?!

What's the PS3 community at? I haven't been able to play this weekend?

 

Are people not soloing Routine for this?

 

I'm sure they are, but challenges like the chest opening benefit from 'casual gamers' opening chests anyway as part of their play irrespective of the weekend challenge,

 

whereas in this case, the challenge requires a little focus to achieve (which is good) but you don't get the benefit

of 'background radiation' to supplement the numbers.

Well you do get everyone participating...you just have to make sure they don't fall once if your pugging.

That's where I say AGAIN that we desperately need some sort of supportive medals (shield, CC etc), we get that almost non-existent 'support exp' after all... 

 

And while I am able to solo on easy with my Keeper, that's not what I actually see as a purpose of the multi-player supportive class. It was designed not to kill stuff, it was supposed to make it easier for the DDs to kill that stuff and make it harder for the stuff to wipe the party.
