So if the Sabrae clan attacks Hawke he/she apparently kills them all. However we never face any children. As there would be other non-combatants among the clan (the elderly, simple cooks, etc) it seems likely to me that they (probably among with some of the parents of the children) fled when the fighting began. What would happen if they did? Would they try and remake the clan? Die in the wilderness? Become city elves? Join other clans?

Or did they actually get killed in the fighting and Bioware just didn't want to let us see Hawke killing kids?

My guess is they legged and after finding out what happened to the Clan they would try and become part of another clan but what do you think?

I think they ran when the rest of the clan started attacking Hawke. The less stubborn and prideful ones will go to live in Kirkwall, while the rest wander around looking for another clan, and either succeed or get eaten by wolves.

That's a grim thought. Let's hope they found another clan. Tho in my play through they didn't attack me so I guess they are ok in my world state.  Shheeeshhhh.....eaten by wolves. Sometimes we forget how safe and sanitised living in the modern world can be.

Oh don't worry, there might not be wolfs.

Not surprising they don't show you what happens to the children. Gaider confirmed even child mages get killed during an annulment and Wynne says the children will be killed as well. or when the werewolves kill Zathrian's clan. You see children there. Bet they got killed or infected. I bet nobody would side with the Templars if they outright showed the Templars killing child mages.

There's a chance they might join another clan. If you listen around the camp, some members were aleady planning on leaving, others are saying that the Sabrae clan got in touch with another clan which was on its way to provide them with more halla.

They've got a new First in Act Three, so they're clearly in touch with *somebody* out there in Dalishworld.

I noticed that on the way through the camp to get to the cave, the merchant in the background was telling his helper to pack up and that they are leaving. He was really hurried and insistent about it. I think some of the clan realized that something bad was going to happen, maybe because they had been at Sundermount for too long or because they sensed this thing between Marathari and Merrill was going to end badly, and they didn't want to stick around.
