It's funny because people have been trying to solve this problem of human nature with arrogance and money for decades... and yet... nothing changes, if anything, it gets worse and worse by the minute... yet they still do it. ![]()

I think the money and the corporate-arrogance shuts down some important parts of the brain or something like that ... ![]()
The Romans thought they were invincible too. And then they got their asses handed to them by German tribes-man who were living in the woods and were fighting with wooden clubs, slings and so on! He he ![]()

Every choice in the game is purely for show, and it works, some people actually believe it matters.
For example, i gave the wardens a chance and let them join me since it said they might be vulnerable to corruption or something along those lines, but it didn't make a damn difference.
Same for Orlais, who leads? who gives a toss! either way you get your army that you never use and it makes no difference other than a couple of lines of dialogue.
Some will claim theres a limit to how much they can do and that's true there is, but maybe they should focus on quality over quantity and spend their resources on making a great game with REAL choices and consequences rather than focusing purely on size.
Quality>>>>Quantity.
if u side with mages u see the cinematic with templar army and the other way around just the army changes and then gets burried in rubble lol i first went with mages then in second play through i choose temlars coz there wasnt any decision making or consequence in this game so i thought i like the templar shiny armor why not and burried all mages in the snow lol and i enjoyed that decision shiny shiny armor lol
the game dosent make sense to me the more i think the more it feels bad game simply put bioware strength was in story telling and putting choices they made okish story removed major story consequences and putted in unnecessary big world and bad side quest if even a single bioware dev reads any of my posts they shud feel what they have done to the game

It's a case of...
Why bother doing anything any more? I don't need to be artistic, I don't need to create something, share it with others and bring joy to others because I have cash and when you have cash you can drive around in fancy looking cars, drink expensive alcohol, take as much coke as you want, bang as many chicks/men/whatever-you-like's as you want (paid or otherwise) purchase a crap tonne of different, expensive objects that you don't necessarily need nor want...
But wait.
You need to keep the coin flowing... so, you do half-arsed jobs, use the power of the dollar to make it seem better than it is, play and bet on the fact that most people can't see past the tips of their noses and will fall for it... then bang.
Welcome to rich corporate/snob attitude.

I think you touched on the biggest problem with this game, they sacrificed far too much for this big world that if I'm to be perfectly honest, is actually not that great. Beautiful to look at but damn boring to play.

then again leaving companions the game is average lol but have some fun moments in it punching solas in face muhaha and drunk cassandra
the companions made the 5/10 rating else i wud give 2/ 10 if companions were somehow magically removed overall package average

I find the new companions were great, full of life and personality...
But the recurring ones such as Hawke, Alistair, Varric were almost tranquil.. Leliana was just cold.
But yeah, companions provided some golden moments. I loved watching Sera turn the noble into wine. That was hilarious... I could just kiss her (except kissing a screen is rather pointless)...
I liked Dorian when he chewed out his father in Redcliffe..
Cass when she tries to flog Varric when she finds out Hawke is at Skyhold... that was priceless.
I liked the inclusion of judgments. Man, judgment in a box... oh the tears and ache of my ribs. ![]()

DAI to me is a step backwards because its more about the non interactive eye candy everywhere, fantastic empty areas to explore and complete lack of what you should be able to do in a rpg game. Rpg is more than great graphics, cut scenes, bi - gay almost all characters now and politically correct.
DAI is more quantity and not quality likes previous games.
Very simplified, features taken away that would really improve the game, and that interactiveness is gone too.
It's almost like a movie, you watch or play it through.
Compared to DAO and other previous games, DAI is still a hack and slash and repeat game.
Ever heard of the Witcher 3???? Now that series is what rpg is all about!!!! They got it right.....

The only thing i personally enjoyed in this game was the companions and the varic card game felt everyone was family and wanted to spend times like that a lot through the whole game where every companion shared laugh and talk with each other from time to time in whole story was needed, the story was okishh as soon as the story ends the game falls apart with left only bad side quests and empty uninteresting land is what this game was
this video is what bioware needed to put more often in game all companions enjying together after each small victory and multiple character enjoyment varic card game as example i personally needed this and was smiling all the way when this happened
as what blackwall says - you need to tell stories more often i always think bioware as more of a story teller then a game creator stories that makes u lost in them and dont want to come out and stay with ur companions
leaving out the companions the game was average with so many other short comings that i dont even feel like typing. average and disappointing game from bioware who likes to tell epic stories and create a love towards companions the game deserved more love from bioware then it got.
even then it was forced
especially if you are like me and have the dialogue bug where you have to skip to the next line

witcher 3 is a is on its own level dragon age cant compete with that beast those guys know what they are doing not like bio ware who tries to follow other games and loosing what made bioware games great instead of improving what bio ware strength was (epic story, and choices) they are abandoning what made them great
mass effect games and dragon age origins series boosted them the to the king of epic story tellers but they ruined their image because of the finalle of mass effect 3 if only they have taken some feedback from players it wud have still been the king of rpg,s in story telling
and with each game like dragon age inquisition they are loosing whats left of their image they still have a last chance to go back to being king of story tellers but they need to work hard and stick to their own winning formula instead of making dragon age a mmo.
dragon age inquisition did not deserve any GOTY awards its quantity not quality except companions the game is bad in every way from uninteresting open worlds with no choice effects and bad grind side quest
they need to fix the wrong and learn from their previous game which gave them reputation once lets see what they do next what new story they create i hope its epic

To put it simply, dragon age has an identity crisis. Witcher has improved aspects of the game instead of completely changing it, thats what sequels should do.
Dragon age on the other hand has changed so much that if it weren't for returning characters it would be barely recognizable. Between the simplified abilities, lack of tactics and lackluster side content it just doesen't feel like dragon age anymore for me.

Imagine if Bioware released a massive patch to add the folloiwng to DAI:
- limitless storage chest
- main campsite
- chat with all party characters whenever you want
- buy gifts as gags and romance for all party characters whenever you want
- do personal party character quests from the campsite
- have a pet or two
- after finishing the game, still have access to the romanced character and more
- go to main town, buy a piece of land anywhere in the game and build a large place, totally customizable inside and outside
- change all items, armor, weapons, amulets, etc. on the fly with all party characters whenver you want
- interactiveness with the game, eat food, open barrel lids, move potted plants, sit down at a table, etc.
- chat with all NPC's if you hear them talking about you or to you when you walk on by
- fill those open areas instead of being mainly empty
- well thought out main story, plots and quests
- useful sub quests relevant to the main story and plots and party characters
- eliminate the swearing
- still have straight and bi characters but not over the top like DAI
- optimized for PC isometric view and mouse
- optimized for consoles
- complexity restored to skills trees
- increase skill slots
- option to chose attributes or auto them
- longer game and not another short game
- really fantastic boss ending leaving you wondering.....?
- use the current frostbite 3 engine but add all the above and more.

yeah in short this they are loosing identity as a company and it reflects in the game they make as well they need to refine the original dragon age origins with improved mechanic and refine what was bad about it and that would be dragon age not this. dragon age inquisition is a weird half baked mmo and consolization and simplification hybrid too much wrong with this game they just somehow barely managed to make huge profit of this game using cheap market strategy,s and marketing, people will not forget what bioware is doing even if they think they made profit they lost their identity and credibility with another failure
soon people will see bio ware a shell of its past and hesitate to buy their game if they made the next game like this.

i dont see that happening in no patches it wont be a patch it wud need to a new game because of too much crap in inquisition will need to be replaced it wud be better to make a new one and forget inquisition ever happened.

Yah, unfortunate but true.
I am hoping for an immersive rpg, too much?
Maybe a DLC would address all the above and more?
- I'd pay for it
I hope DA4 adds the above and they go back to what made DAO and other previous games great.......and not MMO and lose their indentity in the process and the DA series dies.

One word on first post.
AGREE!
Well, some time ago when i read the reviews on ME3, especially the critics on the ending of ME3 made the decision for me not to play ME3. I bought ME3 about a month after release but it's still sealed in plastic.
The same can ofcourse not happen to DA:I because it's an online version in Origin and i already played it for 150+ hours. But again reading about the crappy ending that comes on top of the bugs and glitches might as well 'enforce' the decision to uninstall DAI and thus becoming nothing more than a picture in my Origin library.
Bioware better fix this fast because for sure i'm not the only 'old time' fan thinking this way. ![]()
