Yes, as I've said before (I think in another thread, not sure) I think a lot of DA's problem is the fact that they keep changing the game-play from game to game... it's like they think, "Oh, people are whinging and didn't like A, B, C and D in Origins, so let's get rid of them for DA:2 = completely different style of play."

So DA:2 comes along, and other than the minor RPG elements, it's more or less an action-adventure arcade button masher bred with a movie.... so again, "Man, people really hate this.... what to do now? Wait... screw it. We'll just make it look pretty and steal ideas from MMO games so we don't have to put as much effort into it... if we market it right, we should be able to get lots of dough and once that happens it won't matter after that."

Be honest main reason why are you displeased this much is because you couldn't bed mother Giselle as you wanted :P.

LOL!!!!!

"Go To Sleep", I'm guessing? ;)

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the game completely.. I did 5 playthroughs. I'm more or less concerned about the direction BW games are going in.. this isn't their best effort (that's only my opinion though)

I enjoyed some parts of the game, and didn't like others.. also not happy about some PC gamers having trouble with patches that are supposed to fix things and not break the game...

Well.. I must confess.

I never actually had a Mother Giselle fetish. I was just trollin'. ;)

Think Cherry was pretty serious about hers, though...

That isn't so bad I suppose... he looks pretty metal and I like metal so....

Cory's all deformed looking. So either she has a fetish or it's all about the personality.

I think...voice and something about Coryfish looking like Keith Richards from 'The Rolling Stones' and her growing up on TRS and having crush on Keith when she was young I think.

As for Nuada I guess I always had fetish for creepy guys...guess this explains why I do "creepy plays" myself.

Well a huge part of the reason why this game got such amazing reviews is because review sites get paid by EA to do so. In general these review/gaming sites get benefits from the companies to write positive articles and reviews about their games. Whether the compensation is flat out money or getting some exclusive interviews or inside information, these sites like IGN get paid to do so.

If you ever read the review for DA2 on IGN you will see some criticism but mostly a positive review even saying the game is better than DA:O in many ways. Now jump to before DA:I was released and you get articles there about how DA2 dropped the ball and how BioWare is trying to take the best elements of both games to make DA:I...Yes there are different reviewers for different games but this is a consistent thing with sites like IGN. I mean the DA:I (PC version) review barely talks about the horrible bugs and glitches the game has...that is a pretty huge aspect of the game I would say.

This past week (since PAX South) there were like 4 articles about Witcher 3, all positive articles hyping the game. Now I like the developers for that game but not too big of a fan for their games themselves, with that being said, that company has a ton of money and a very large budget for Witcher 3. Compare this to Pillars of Eternity where there have been zero articles on IGN for the game since PAX. Both are made by known developers, but only one has a huge budget therefore that one gets hyped like crazy.

These review/gaming websites have become avenues of hype for major gaming companies and the majority of the credibility on these sites have disappeared due to being bought out by these companies. Pretty sad imo and really makes things like GotY awards almost meaningless.

LOL this reminds me of the PS3 in its younger years...

This first person shooter game "Haze" was hyped up big time... when it was finally released, however....

The only good part about it was the fact that you weren't required to go online to play MP, and could have two or more players + bots... but everything else was shocking... mind you, it sold many, many copies. I saw a lot of trade-in, second hand copies shortly afterwards...

I hate to break up your guys' circle-jerking and patting each other on the back for giving this game a 5 or 6 out of 10, but some people, like myself, loved this game and would give it at least a 9/10. I played the first two games as well so I'm not one of those people who has no experience to compare Inquisition to DA: O or even DA II. However, this doesn't mean I don't think there aren't some aspects of the game that could have been done better (2 examples are the lack of cinematic interactions with NPCs and dumbed-down tactics). Taken as a whole though, the game was outstanding.

i cudnt type things all over again and again for everyone so this was my first post on forms cant type that much each time enjy

Just came online and made a new account to make a post

The game just feels wrong in some ways. it is a improvement from DA:2 but it left you hanging in middle

after playing the game 2 times there are many problems in the game

Pros -

1. ;/ ok yess pros graphics improved still not next gen

2. and hmmm what else oh the party banter and.... oh i remeber party banter is great but it is less needs more  ;) if a player chooses his best 4 guys to use them always then make em keep talkin and entertaining right now party batter is and you dont remeber it happen much also maybe a bug i pich ingidients a lot to get fade stuff i kept wishing i cud hear all party members discuss like family and epic moments but i had to instead go to youtube to see all 5 hr party banter and frekin enjyd it why cudnt i experience it all within game.

3. Story line hmmm copy paste mass effect style you are a hero you kill that bad guy who is out of mind but its just ok

why dont make the character son of the maker itself who dosent know about it and have crazy powers hidden and participate in mortal matters like fighting btwn factions and such so many ways but it was ok still but you tried to do your best but there were lot of imersion breaking things that you left while making the story that it didnt have that feel to it be bio ware the story teller epic ones.lets hope solas make the next game damm interesting all hope on solas and epic story coming next

4. Some good chracter - cole, dorian, sera and varric and some okish too but overall good  (this is by far the best pros)

Cons-

1. Villian decision was wrong lack luster villian

2. side quests are horrible - its a chore they are not fun go place a flower to that guy dead wife bring medicine from that guy the son who dosent give **** about his own mother and sended you back who writted this. did he see i have a sword i can go faster or dont have shame to run to his mother to give medicine,

side quests are just pure lazy work

3. a fake decision making - it dosent matter what decision you make except romance it just leads to crappy wierd endings that you dont even get to see just slide shows. false decision making the ending ruined all again.

4. bad ending - just a picture diffenrent picture show i could have seen that on youtube bio ware i even did watch all varients on youtube and was angry, bio ware tells epic story they show you what happened not make u see these stuff did bio ware gets scared of ME3 ending mess that they played it safely like this now. worst game ending n all the game i have played i dont even recall when was the last game i played that gave you endings like this. lilliena became this cassandra became this this happnd show me what happnd not this ;/

5. unused areas - story gets completed first most of the area in game remain unused and hell many arnt even visited. the devs cud have used the area or putted the time they wasted in that area to something more useful or increase other good content that player might enjoy

6. bad requisition quests - the requisition should have upgraded your army so they can protect area better not give me power for creating drums and wierd stuff. every camp has one stupid guy hey inquisitor i have something for u and i was always like i know what you have i just dont want it.

7. skyhold upgrade dosent matter

8. no sky hold fight - upgrade skyhold and no defence upgrades to have atleast one corephus guy mission attacking skyhold

9. villian just can be seen angry a lot in game you have less interaction with him his dragon is a better vilian then him by the looks of it, he dosent even show up at admant fortress doing god knows what and sending his pet what type of villian is that, mythal temple he comes and blows himself up so we can see he cant be killed from bushes and then later he flies to a mirror saying grrrrr seriously wtf was he doing  when the inquisitor was completing puzzles and running on plates seriously wat was he doing sending his minions down to bring the well and then showing up when minion dosent come back saying grrrrrr

10. no rivalry system

11. fake andraste ego that breaks later making me feel awkward in the fade man it was all a lie i have been telling tried to choose oh so your watching over her to still make team mates thing am andraste choosen but nops she says - thats a nice story broken heart and awkward feeling in fade ;/

12. less party banter happening throughout game let players expeince all out of banters

13. combat abilities only 8 slots even if 8 slots are good the mage got changed to be bad

not much magic nothing i play as mage frst but now its only support class why bioware why make mages will cool abilities its magic you are talking about limitless possibilities

dont make mages dumb but increase other classes to bring in line with mage awesomeness

repetitive spells.

14. biggest fail was all sidequests except some companions quest were pain to paaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn seriously bioware bring story meaningfull side quests if u cant dont waste time on such quests rather spend time in story

15. only story was good in the game after it was over no replayability because of bad endings , fake choice systems , no rivallary , and not much party talking options are same or origion story.

game had so many flaws that you see after 2nd play through on 2nd playthrought wasnt even able to reach wicked eyes got so bored

what happened to me -----------------

i tried to play the game as mage first but after compleating mage felt so bad and thought this time ill compleate all quests little did i know

the side quests when i started doig all were so horrible it felt grind and was hardly able to reach wicked eyes and stoped there cant play more of those quests too grind and bad,and boring.

i specially come online made account to give feedback please take some feedback

Glad you enjoyed the game, Weskerr. I also respect your opinion.

But just to clarify.. we're not circle jerking and patting each other on the back. We're just discussing what we agree with... then again, I suppose that could mean the same thing?

I like DAI alot. My main issue with it is the sidequests.

The main quest line is great, but my god the sidequests are utterly boring. Many of them have no real story at all, they're just "go and rescue this dude's wife, oh look she's dead, well better go and hand it in".

DAO and even DA2 had interesting sidequests, which were often lengthy and were like mini stories in themselves. DAI has none of this. I find myself going into a new zone and just wandering about, with very little in the way of focus. I wouldn't mind the whole "power needed to progress main story" thing IF the sidequests were really engaging. They have very little in the way of dialogue and are just generally uninteresting.

I don't mind the combat system, I like the characters and the feeling that you are the ruler of a powerful organisation, the game is gorgeous, the main quest is great and the crafting system is quite cool. However the lack of interesting sidequests really hurts the game for me.

Oh and also the LACK OF A PROPER PARTY MEMBER TACTICS SYSTEM. PUT IT BACK BIOWARE YOU FOOLS.

Yes exactly!

It happens rearly enough that people of the same opinion can discuss "undisturbed" here on the BSN without getting "stoned" and "pitchforked" for every argument they write.

@Weskerr

So ... dear Weskerr ...

Have fun and enjoy this - for the time being - very silent and cozy refugium that this thread still is ;)

Because it won't be long before a flame war and a trench war will break out ... when enough people come in here :D

This is a major problem with the BSN...

If you express an opinion that contraries somebody else's, they tend to get offensive which then breeds the flaming, trolling, insulting, etc. While some of it, I will admit, is funny... I do like to be nice sometimes.

Do you also call it circle-jerking when people are talking about how much they like the game?

Honestly anytime someone brings up "Circle-jerking" it's always when a group of people have a opinion the "anti Circle-jerker" has.

If we didn't think there was good aspects in the game we wouldn't give it a 5 or 6 we would give it even lower.

Bingo!!

At least we're "grounded" or "reasonable"....

If we had pea-brains and tunnel vision the game would get a 0.5/10 at the most. ;)
