It's flawed specially if we consider that most of the time, at least for me, when something happens to my game (key not dropping, giant dying and standing up again as an immortal statue, crash to desktop or even a disconnection from the session), it seems someone is placed in that spot immediately and I lose the XP anyway.

I would prefere the XP received while inside the dungeon were constantly saved to each character and the final result would only give you an extra bonus for finishing the stage! That would prevent exploits and also loss of Xp everytime something happens to your game (many times for me).

I've never been much of a fan of equal-split system, be it in co-op or pvp. 1) it encourages noobies to jump on difficulties they shouldn't play yet 2) power-leveling abuse (i.e. this exploit). If you want a more detailed analysis then read my long comment here. One of the reasons I required players to use a LAN stamps on their characters was because players were using secondary PCs to power their alternates (PC gamers cheating, what a shock right?). In one very unfortunate case a player who lived in a college dorm got his entire profile deleted and game access blocked because of another player. I got rid of that particular party system, used staggered experience tables for each class, and had way less trouble after that.

If you give away XP after every kill then you make it super easy for me to boot up my secondary Xbox, start a party and wait for two suckers players to help me level it up. Their vote kicks don't matter because I'm not going to kick myself for leeching, right? You have to design your system in such a way to minimize their ability to exploit. Despite Amelia's assertion that my calling the XP/Progress loss a penalty feature a misnomer, it's a design intended on curbing leech behavior that has a negative impact on general play. So they may need to re-evaluate the current state and make changes once the game-breaking bugs have been addressed. However I still stand by my original assessment.

edit: and no that is not a shot at Amelia.

Sounds more like a tutorial then a bug-report.

Didn't know reporting bugs required a step-by-step instructional video on how to do it.

'Tis a most thorough report. With supporting visual materials.

Legit, Ps4. Pug'ing ain't easy. Best way to avoid playing low level characters is to not play them. Some classes, I just can't deal with anymore. Therefore, I am patiently waiting for new dlc classes.

One more reason to play as a Katari, which is fun on all levels.

It's not really a bug. More of an abuse of gameplay mechanics.

It's pretty old news this and I actually thought everybody- atleast here - knew this because it's so easy to discover. People have been doing it since at the latest right after the DLC got installed, for various reasons. I think it is working as intended but obviously easy to exploit. I personally discovered it as soon as the DLC/key bug was introduced. After we did a host migration (I cant remember if this was actually what happened, but it was atleast an encountered bug that forced me to reconnect to the game, maybe a crash or something similar), I figured I might as well rejoin as a character more likely to succeed against our current enemy at the time, demons. I thought it was kinda weird that I still recieved all the xp I had procured on a different character especially after rejoining on stage 4. I originally assumed that the procured XP would be lost. Putting two and two together I figured that this was a possible way to, not only spec up for certain enemies but also a way to quick level characters from 1-10 without having to carry level ones through threatening.

People have also been using similar mechanics since the first MMO's came out, so if you knew about them you'd probably figure this one out quite easily too.

I havent been doing this much myself, as my goal really never has been to get tons of promotions, but getting those banners, titles and portraits. I might as well solo those on routine after I've promoted a character. I sometimes personally prefer to solo when I dont have friends to play with online. PUG'ing is sometimes an experience I'd rather be without as you are certain to meet people who play like complete morons. Life is too short.

EDIT: Threat title doesnt really imply anything other than delivering a recipe on how to use this method to quickly level characters. IT doesnt seem to me at all like being a "bug-report".
