When I first started playing I was in a lobby where the guy said, "I know a fun way to do platinum, you want to see?"

He did the glitch and I had no idea what the hell was going on, I was so new. Wiped wave two or something. It wasn't until way later that I realized what it was.

No never done it myself. I'm not 100% sure how it's done anyway.

 

The first time where it happened to me was one of my first Platinum games (this is before I came here) and I didn't realise what was happening at first.

 

Now I just quit a game or lobby if they do that crap. I'd rather try for real and wipe than do that sh*t.

I've been in games when it happened, and like others have mentioned...it's boring. Whenever i'm in a lobby and i see a destroyer, i will check to see if he has a striker equipped, 9 times out of 10, it's a glitcher, and when i see that, i just leave the lobby. I'd rather go down in a respectable wipe than to cheese the game with the glitch....i don't even know how to do it, nor plan on trying it.

I have accidentally done it 2 or 3 times when switching from a charged Acolyte Pistol to the Cobra Missile. So it is definitely possible on PC but extremely rare and no one needs to do it because we have other much easier methods for acquiring lots of credits.

It's funny though, if I decide to take my Destroyer out for a spin I feel guilty because people might think I'm glitching. lol

Even though I never use the Striker on him anyway.

No but I have been curious about some things. Like for instance, everyone always seems to say that the Destroyer is best for it because Devastator mode refills ammo. Wouldn't the Turian or Quarian soldiers work then too since they have Marksman, which also restores ammo?

Nope. Only encountered one missile glitcher on the PC, and another guy that tried to do the glitch...but failed! That was actually pretty funny, to see that guy mess up like that. On topic, I really despise missile glitchers. They ruin the game for everyone, just like those fools with their fully auto Black Widows do.

Definitely possible as I have a friend that's still chugging URs and got excited because someone taught him how to.  He wanted me to join him while he did it and I wasn't having it.  Gave him a bit of a hard time about spoiling other peoples fun in pub matches.  I told him to just hack credits if that was the reason but he didn't want to use "dodgy" programs to do it.  

 

He stopped playing after a few more weeks and admitted that it had spoiled the game for him.

Missile glitching, credit hacking or whatever, never understood the point of it. The game is fantastic just playing it as the developers intended for it to be, anyone with at least an average intelligence don't need that to do well in this game.

I think in the whole time I've played this game I have come across exactly one missile glitcher. And it wasn't me.

After replaying single player three times now, I kinda wish heavy weapons were placed and respawned in set places on the map, and with greater variety. So you could stumble upon a Blackstar, Hydra, Cain, etc. Only kinda, though, because rage missiling seeker swarms is rewarding.

Yes. I did. Against Geth and against Guardians at wave 11. And I'm damn proud of it! Would do it again.

Never did, but apparently some people are very skittish about even the possibility that it might happen.

 

I've noticed about half the time when I queue up with my Destroyer so that I can finish off the shotgun challenges, the leader who'd set up the game abruptly quits. Doesn't ask, doesn't seem to take the time to look at equipment, just "see Destroyer, quit game."

I've never done it. I know how to (because way back when, someone thought it was a good idea to post it on the Bioware forums on how to do it), but I don't need to do it and never intend to. I know a few glitches that weren't patched, but I'm not gonna do them.
