.
That solution didn't cross my mind. But it could actually be as simple as that. Thanks for simple logic.
Although I must admit I find it peculiar. The sign is more or less hidden. Could be because it is old and worn out of course.

Sometimes the simplest possibilities are the most easily overlooked. :) And keeping with that, that was also my first assumption - that it wasn't deliberately hidden, but just faded with age. At least, in the context of the game. I expect if anyone was deliberately hiding anything it would be the devs. Sneaky bastards. :D

No, I understood Colonel. I was just being one-uppity.

I wonder why Solas, Vivienne or Dorian didn't notice this glyph?

"...anyone who possesses, even by accident, a copy of the sign is susceptible to some form of insidious mind control, or possession...!"

Such skilled and intelligent mages ignores this?

Skyhold was Solas find and idea. He knew this was an old tevinter bastion.

I don't remember any of those saying anything about the drapes except for Vivienne. She compliments on the good choice you made i selecting the decor. But apart from that?

That's interesting but I guess it could be a easter egg?

It's the exact same symbol , and it's not a common one , I guess it was done on purpose.

About mind control and such , it seems people ends up leaving the place for unknown reasons, and Morrigan says the place is sacred and grants protection .

.
Does Morrigan say that?
During the conversation in the garden after 'Wicked Eyes And Wicked hearts'?

[edit]

Oh yes! You're right. She does tell about the castle and its history. I have to find that scene once more.
