I ask that people try to not make this a general discussion thread.  Reading past discussions over things like Duke Nukem Forever and game development time and whatnot makes the thread unnecessarily larger and slows down my ability to read and collate the actual issues.

Thank you.

Please, feel free to clarify how you intend to fix, sorry, finish, this mess of a game in under 12 years and we'll consider to stop b!tching about "dev time".

Are you taking into account that some of us are on consoles such as Xbox, and Playstation?

No I am not taking that into account. I have no clue how you would back up installation folders on a console. All I was ever able to do was back my profile and save games on console. Sorry for any confusion.

Looked through all 11 pages and couldn't find anything, so I'll ask: is the wonderful disappearing Spirit Blade still a thing? Having Spirit Blade disappear is much more soul-shattering than you'd think. Reminds me of how game breaking the missing sound effects from Assassin's Creed Liberation were. Difference is DA:I runs at more than 14fps and is a good game.

Couldn't find anything on this in the earlier pages: is anyone else still not able to get Dorian's cutscenes to fire? The patch, for me, did nothing to fix it. I reloaded to before I even got to Skyhold, and I still can't get the scene about Felix.

Patching is always a good thing. It is fixing... things. Riiiiiight. "Fixing".

You know how it is with this game - one thing cannot possibly be fixed without breaking another.

Before patches 3 and 4, by "going offline" in Origin I could enjoy a game without disappearing textures, things flying in mid-air, npcs half-buried in the ground or sound glitches. Also, I never experienced any frequently reported bugs like the one with Dorian's personal quest, for example.

Now, even when Origin is offline, there are annoingly all the things I described (minus Dorian's bugged quest, thank God for small miracles) present.

Thank you very much. Keeps me wondering how many more patches it will take to make the game unplayable.

Dorian's quest is still broken? Even after the patch? If we have to start over from the beginning let us know. That would be helpful.

I'm on the PS4. I'll check it out myself when I get home.

also recently noticed that, upon leaving skyhold and traveling to camps (most noticeably the dalish camp in the plains), one or more of my party members arrives with half-health. this is a new phenomena, since the patch.

most annoying.

this is getting ridonkulous. walking down a slight incline, i'm taking no damage, not even slightly jumping ... and two of my party lose half their health. no mobs nearby, nothing.

bioware? herro? anyone there? this didn't happen pre-patch.

Nope, it's not broken at least for me on PS3. I loaded up a save on a character that got the Dorian bug and I managed to get and complete his quest. So yes, the Dorian bug seems to be fixed.

Does the patch stop you from chest farming?

I very much wish I could revert to a pre-patch state. I have no interest in constantly farming for crafting materials.

In a single-player game, I cannot comprehend why this would be even a low priority fix. I could understand if this were one of the many horrible, soulless monstrosities built on a microtransaction format to unlock in-game items, but it isn't. It wasn't costing EA any revenue, wasn't causing any other problems, and was completely optional.

Hell, given the fact that this glitch was virtually identical to the item-duping glitches in the previous installments, I thought it might've even been included intentionally. This has impacted my desire to continue to play this game significantly - even more than I would've anticipated had I known the fix was coming.

I understand I'm not saying anything new or unique, but I wanted to add my small voice to the chorus of boos.

So until modio comes out for for x1 I will have to avoid the patch or get the PC version and use cheat engine or something.

I feel sorry for all console players who accidentally got this. Looks like we are SOL

And now the item dup glitch is gone, making the game even more tedious for me and a lot of people who already played through the game many times... Great... If only there was a way to respawn rare mobs and monsters to higher levels for more challenge and more material drops. Wouldn't be forced to reload save files due to the awful RNG system when we when a certain number of items to drop. Beyond 116 hours, the game is pretty empty for me anyways, so this forced me to restart my playthrough anyways. Can't believe I'm about to say this, but if there was a way to implement multiplayer dungeons in single player mode, I wouldn't mind doing them just for extra loots and respawn monsters, materials, etc.

Really can't believe anyone not self deluded or BSing to keep their job could have play tested this game.  We Beta tested the hell out of SWTOR ...seriously hammered that bad boy.  Learn from it people (EA/Bioware or what ever you are these days).

You would have a waiting list filling your servers to break this game...and they would thank you for it...YOU NUG!

Do you know if uninstalling the game will remove the patch?  Will it get rid of the game saves as well?

Usually when I get a new game it will ask me to do an update, not sure if uninstalling and reinstalling will accomplish that.

I have tested this yesterday.  The patch is now integrated with the install.  Also, someone with an install disk tested this as well, the disk only has the origin client then the game, already patched, is installed.  I also tried to replace the patch directory with a modded one.  Some features were rolled back, others were not.  This means that the latest patch also replaced some core files within the game directory, and not just limited to the patch directory.  There is no going back :(

Now if they spent more time fixing things instead of trying to prevent users from rolling back. Find it really odd they'd exert that much effort.
About that spirit blade... does it still disappear?

If you are on xbox 360 I think you can clear the cache and get rid of the patch. Playstation and Xbone players are screwed.

Apologies for ignoring this thread so far. I'm getting a chance to look it over more thoroughly now that Patch 4 has gone live for all platforms.  I appreciate everyone taking the time to respond thus far.

Awesome and thanks for the heads-up.  With all the time since Patch 3, there's been a fair bit of repeated information and general discussion; I don't think I've seen any newer issues crop up in the last week or two, just more folks wandering in reporting the known ones.  Looking forward to the ETA on the ETA, as it were, that you mentioned last week.  I'm sure it's reassuring to folks in addition to myself to see communication picking back up.

Did this patch fix the issue of Servis not appearing in the Western Approach? That's literally what was stopping me from finishing the game and I've been slowly plugging away at it since December. I've done everything else.

Now I feel like I'm going to have to wait until patch....whatever number we're at now on PS4

got a notification for a patch 1.04. PS3. I'm not convinced it helped because i've been lurking in these threads off and on and the collective seems to have had very bad experiences after installing it. Reading every page up to this one in this thread, i'd say i'm more the better for opt-ing out of it, to be sure. Besides I don't know what this patch is even supposed to allegedly fix.

I update the game to 1.04 on PS4, and Wow have issue with texture and NPC loading late and pops up in 3 sec. Also on distance meshes. This game is total broken.

Thank you.

Okay, Alan, I can sum all things said here into 1 post. Everything to help our cause.

1. Patch didn't solve the issue with unkillable monsters in MP for some folks, including me. It may have something to do with death animations, as those do play but the creep stays ....er... not dead nor it is is alive&killable.

2. Patch broke SP stuff with spawning enemies from thin air right in the middle of a party on save/load (happened to me twice in Western Approach, venatori camps cleared, then save, load previous save to loot the container for different loot and the enemy spawns behind my back.)

3. Patch broke SP stuff with the camps themselves. One next to Griffon Wings Keep dissapeared from the world when I cleared the Keep and looked back. Only reloading the save fixed the issue.

4. Any update on that 'timeline for a timeline on the next patch', please?

5. Any update on PC controls patch, specially moronic WASD camera movement and fixed FOV in tactical view?

6. Any chance we could have someone big like Darrah here - or anywhere else online - to ask him some questions about the future plans for the game? Fans really want stuffs to be cleared out, as, you know, being ignored doesn't help to love BW.
