having not read the patch notes and downloaded the patch I'm pretty disappointed the dupe glitch is gone. It was never removed from the previous games, and I had been looking forward to simply playing around with crafting. Like most here, I had no interest in farming cash, I just liked the idea of being able to test out crafting with little fear. I guess I can save and reload, but sometimes it is nice to do say 10 items and actually see what the best is. You could now try and craft something, think it isn't that good, try again and get worse stuff.
It is a shame, being an SP game, that there was any need to do this.

This may be a noob question, but here goes...
When I bought the Deluxe Digital Edition in December for the PS4, I downloaded all the files that it offered. When the game wouldn't play, I searched around until I found out that someone had downloaded only the game file and left out the add-ons. It did work when I tried that, but I'm hoping to make use of all the extra stuff that I paid for eventually. Did this patch fix the problem? Or has it been fixed before this maybe? Any information would be appreciated.

The dup/gold exploit has been there since DA:O. I considered it part of the DA franchise! XD
Anyway,my suggestion is to put a "cheat mode" in the game. That way players who don't want to spend hours and hours looking for materials around Thedas can easily access them, but would not unlock any achievements/trophies that would be much easier to get if you used the exploits.
This is just a suggestion. I personally would prefer it this way,as I only used the dup glitch purely for the customization options and not for the Achievements.

Chest Farming was really fun for me for a lot of reasons. If it's gone then it's indeed a sad day.

Sure, let's make sure to remove everybody's beloved item duping exploit from the first two games. That is sooooo much more important than Cullen flat out disappearing from the game, or the problem with the High Dragon kill counter not working, or bugged quests that can't be completed, or a number of other problems that actually take away from the enjoyment of the game. Nope! Let's focus on the one little trick that allows the players to actually afford the ridiculously overpriced shop items and be able to outfit more than the one character with dragon(bone/hide/webbing) items.
Man, I miss the days before patching. I feel like it gave developers the incentive to produce better polished products. It seems like modern games have ten times the bugs, glitches, and broken mechanics than those released 15-20 years ago. Sure, they are absolutely gorgeous, thanks to advancements in graphics; but it often feels like we aren't getting finished products anymore. Especially with the DLC-cash-cow method, which results in us having to shell out more and more money just to finish the story of a single game (*cough* Destiny *cough*). I hope I'm not alone in this opinion... otherwise I'm just a sad old gamer, poking at the ceiling with a broom.

Or how about the ability to toggle farming on and off? With farming off, crafting wouldn't consume materials (so finding one iron = infinite iron). I HATE farming. Pointless time wasting filler, that is ridiculous on sooo many levels to me.
BTW game was working fine for me, but got my first crash to desktop right after installing the patch. I'm on PS4... first time I've ever crashed to desktop in 4 generations of PS... Bioware gets an achievement for that one...

I'll admit, I'm more than a little bit peeved that my mat/gold exploits are gone. Was is really necessary to remove them?
Maybe they have decided to implement a progressive system that would allow you to enhance your gameplay at the minimal cost of your time. great technology that has been lately implemented by Ubisoft in their supreme gaming experience known as AC:U: microtransactions in singleplayer. Why farming if you can buy materials from a fully voiced in game merchant that will inform you about the news in social justice warriors department but also provide you with things you need. Revolution I say,

I wouldn't be fuming so much had the offline mode been not preventing this chaos from happening in pre-patch 3 game. Which it did. And it doesn't anymore. ![]()
Oh, and don't forget about silent companions. Banters are still the same lazy state they have been since the release.

I update the game to 1.04 on PS4, and Wow have issue with texture and NPC loading late and pops up in 3 sec. Also on distance meshes. This game is total broken.
I had huge loading times in Winter Palace and absolutely no party banter this morning. Good job BioWare ![]()

Don't get me wrong. I'm a proponent of players having to put in some work in order to achieve certain things and I actually don't mind having to farm materials. Is it dull? Oh, God yes. But I'll take "dull" over "mind-numbingly tedious" and/or "impossible" which are sadly where things are in the game's current state.
Need to farm up large quantities of "common" tier 3 materials like (for example) Imperial Vestment Cotton? Good luck with that. Don't leave the Arbor Wilds until you're full up because you ain't getting it anywhere else. Not in large quantities anyway.
Royal Sea Silk? King's Willow Weave? Need a crap ton of those, do you? Have fun roaming the Hissing Wastes until you chance across a Venatori camp where you MIGHT get a pithy little drop of either. Assuming you're very lucky.
These are just a few examples of "common" materials that can't be farmed. Not by sane people, at any rate. "Rare" Snowfleur Skins, on the other hand, can be easily hauled in by the truckload.
It sense no makes to me.
On any view, you've botched it in this department, Bioware. You've implemented a crafting system with a high material count requirement in a game that requires you to outfit up to ten characters including the Inquisitor with no viable means of farming a good number of these materials. And while I don't expect you to put a known exploit back into a game, you definitely need to do... something.
So, allow me to make a suggestion: Josephine offers 3 perks that gives the player a one time delivery of 10 units of each material in a given tier. This is a waste of perk points even WITH the removal of the dupe exploit. I craft a lot, and at no time have I ever thought to myself, "Gee, I could really use less than a dozen of everything!" What good is that going to do anyone? It's hard for me to imagine that anyone though these would be worthwhile perks. When you're crafting, at any given time, chances are you need a boatload of just a few materials, not small smatterings of every single one of them (and certainly not at the cost of perk points).
My suggestion then would be to redefine these perks. Instead of giving the player a meager one time delivery, these perks would make the associated materials available for purchase through the Haven/Skyhold shopkeepers in infinite quantities. Have them charge whatever you think is appropriate. If I have to pay up the nose for tier 3 materials that are almost impossible to farm, then so be it. As long as these materials are accessible.
There. That's your happy medium between "blatant exploitation" and "No way in hell am I accepting this patch!"

In the next patch, would you guys consider fixing the quest block on Cullen? Here's a step by step of how I believe his quest was blocked.
1) I talked to Cullen enough so that he brings up concerns about his position as leader for the first time (alluding that he talked to Cassandra about it).
2) I finished the part of his companion quest where he wants you to find three scraps of papers related to the Red Templars and Samson.
3) I spoke to Sera, and it lead to me setting up pranks on the Inquisition advisers (Cullen, Josephine, Leliana). When setting up the prank in Cullens room, I noticed one of Leliana's scouts in there that tells you that Cullen went to speak to Cassandra. I think this is where the quest blocker takes effect.
4) Once Sera's event is over, I go back to Cullens room and the scout is still there (though I am unable to interact with them).
5) I go to the Blacksmiths building (where I assume the scene involving Cullen and Cassandra takes place), however, it does not activate.
6) I am no longer able to see Cullen in his room (only the scout), which ultimately keeps me from completing his quest line.
Just wanted to make sure I mentioned that this was on the Xbox One. I'm not sure if this occurs on other consoles as well.

Will Patch 4, when released for Consoles, cover all of the issues relevant to Consoles released in Patch 3 and Patch 4 which were for PC only? I'm on PS3 and I have been lately dealing with the party banter bug (I hear crickets and not much else way too often), have a few side-quests I can't complete, etc (Darkspawn quest in the Western Approach).

I don't see why they had to fix those exploits, I don't like playing the game now
I mean come on Bioware, you make an Enchanter mail (Masterwork) cost 35.000 K but the creatures drops like 18 gold... you might as well have made the outfit cost a million... Are the outfits in the shops just there to tease people? Even if I sell everything I have on me, I wont be able to afford it. You ruined a wonderful game!

Since installing the patch, I'm getting issues with the game crashing with no error message. In particular, when trying to proceed on the "Under Her Skin" quest (I think it is called) for Leliana. Have been having other load time issues as well.
