I have to say that up until the last patch I had no problems playing on my PS4.  This patch seems to have increased loading times and reduced banter, but the game is still fine overall and a ton of fun to play!
Having said that I have to say I understand how you feel. I was never able to play Skyrim to the end. My PS3 version was so screwed! It froze several times an hour- and was unplayable. I vowed never to buy another Bethesda product and could not believe how the game could have been launched with so many bugs and problems.  Yet, Skyrim won award after award and an immense amount of critical acclaim. I have to say that I found Bethesda very unresponsive and unsympathetic to the concerns of consumers.
I am sorry your game is broken. The game is quite spectacular in many ways. Hope one of the next patches fixes things for you~

I think that's what upsets me the most about them removing the dupe glitch. I do like this game. I LOVE the MP even though I want to pull my hair out sometimes. I just can't play the MP now because the dupe exploit for SP is a higher priority to me because I know in 3 years when I want to play this again after I get burnt out currently the MP won't be supported and I don't want to grind all over again.

How do they not have meetings regarding all the negative criticism regarding the removal of the dupe and say "ok, they REALLY want it back, let's make our fans happy"? Instead they say "don't respond to the question regarding the removal until we decide the official response"
Maybe they think we will all cave in because of weekend MP events...I won't until I've made a few Characters and glitched out a dragon with each and duped the limited mats. The revenants and whatnot also.

Since getting this patch, I can't do the quest "Under Her Skin." Ever time I try to enter the merchant's house, the game crashes. This is on Xbox One if that makes a difference.

Patch 3 increased loading times and reduced banter on PC as well.

Skyrim on console and PC is a completely different game. On one platform it is a mediocre buggy kinda boring game, on the other it is one of the best gaming experiences of all times. Because mods. (Trust me on this, get the Legendary edition for PC if you have a solid one and fill it with fixes and immersion mods, there are guides for this, so new players are not overwhelmed by all the thousands of mods available, for example Skyrim GEMS is a good place to start)

I hate Bethesda for releasing lazy and unfinished buggy messes, letting the community do their work for them and getting away with it evey single time. But wasn't DAI kinda similar to this, minus the unofficial community fixes? DAI won tons of awards, yet is almost unplayable on 2 out of 5 systems the game was released on and still suffers from critical issues on all systems. Minimum of important issues have been fixed overall, yet all we hear is how many awards the game has won and how many fans as well as critics love it...

Okay, okay, let's summarize a bit - it can't get any worse than it already is...

We can take a deep breath and brace ourselves.

Brace for the future patch.

That's like just ASKING for Murphy's Law to kick in.  Best not to tempt fate.

So far, on the 360, I haven't notice any real negative effects of the patch so far.  Still fairly decent load times, but expected on the old system.  Text is still nigh-unreadable, but that wasn't a focus on this patch, so nothing to notice.  My save files are a good way into the game, though, so I can't really test the supposed banter fix.

Decorative Pommel for Greatswords is bugged on PS4. It doesn't appear on the grip when equipped, instead it's floating off to the side. Minor but annoying.

Playing on XBOX One. Since patch 4 i can play for hours and there is zero party banter. Patch 4 made the party banter problem worse. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

I'm on PS4, and this game is broken. It stutters there and there, and the cutscenes works like s@it. How they optimized this game? Are those testers blind? Big area like Hinterland works fine at 30fps but still fps drops thats ok, but what the hell is going on with some places that isnt big like caves or dungeons? The frame rate drop insane and stutters badly...siding with templars on my second run, OMG whats going on? This map has badly optimized, the castle fields and smoke battles. I cant understand, there is 4 ea patches and no performance fixes. They are all patches that fixes patches. Fixing exploits? Hello? This is not a multiplayer game, customers have game break issues on all platform. This the primary things to fix first...If the patch 5 doesnt fix this, Im over with it and will never buy a game from EA/ Bioware I'll promise for that. Im tired checking this forum for upcoming fix patches, I want play a game and not wasting time here with useless parches. Lucky we have CDPR with his great supports and listeners, The Witcher 3 here I come!

You guys are lucky. I HAVE to download the patch that removes the dupe or it exits me out of the game. Playing on Xbox 360. It says for me that it's a mandatory patch.

Its only mandatory to stay logged into to xbox live.  Say no and it will log you offline.  I have done this for years with skyrim since one of their patches made it freeze. you can also delete it if you want it gone but that will get rid of all the previous patches and you wont be able to get them back.

I think it's childish that they force you to load the patch if you want to use dragon's keep.

This loaded on my ps4 without me knowing it. So all my saved characters can't use the dupe items anymore. So I can only use those saves if I download the patch. That is so wrong. So I deleted all except for 3.

If you want to start over you have to use the default world state. That is so wrong. I poured many hours in DAO and da2, more in DAO. I think I should have a right to start over and use my world state without using the patch. I don't want that default state. Everything is wrong with it.

I wanted to play all races, classes, and sexes in each race. I don't see that happening now.

I am going to play one more play through on default and if they do not restore dupe item glitch, I am out.

I thought dragon age was about the story? You forcing people to grind takes away from the story.

My first play through I didn't use the glitches. On my next runs I started too. I thought it was cool and fun. I only dupe dragon stuff, the rest I will pick up. I like to complete everything, but I don't care about the achievements. I just want to play my story in SP and no one should care how SPs played.

Bioware please unpatch the dupe glitch or let people access dragon's keep who don't want to download the patch.

With the dupe items you will still have to play more than 120 hours. I don't see the problem.

Thks for the patch Bioware really makes my day ... a nightmare

- Party banters are trigger less often than before, 2 hours in the hinterlands and i've only heard silence

- Some quests don't trigger or are still not fixed

- The judgement bug is still here

- Loading times are increased

And that just few examples.

But glich, mutliplayer bad issues are fixed, and now the PC players have a walk button good job ... You really need to learn priority when you intend to fix bugs.

I follow you since the beginning, and I always thought you did a great job. But more you trie to fix things, more it gets worse.

When the game was release the only bug i had was the judgement bug but now there are more.

So thank you for ruining my game experience. I'm going to delete your patch on my ps4 and restart a party.

Oi, leave our wolk toggle thingy out of this! :D It is completely useless and doesn't help the player in any way, but it should have been in the game since launch (I have no idea why console versions had it and PC not).

I agree  however other than determining if its Alistair stroud or loghain and hawkes sex world state hasn't really had a significant affect on the game.  I've been disappointed in how little impact world state has had on the game so I'll sacrifice that to not to have the patch

Yeah, I feel even the import between DAO and DA2 had bigger impact on DA2 (after a year of development) than all those tens of choices in the Keep had on DAI. It was really important how I got the food for the prisoner in Ostagar or what I told the dalish dude...

I would also like for the import not to be buggy. For example my Warden has never slept with Morrigan, romanced hardened Leliana (she speaks of him correctly as her lover), married Anora (again Leliana refers to this correctly, but Connor in Redcliffe had the monarchs mixed up) and let Alistair do the Dark Ritual (yet Morrigan then claimed my Warden is the father and is also her love).

The parts of world state that are important to me are below.

1. Warden lived and did the dark ritual.
2. Warden romanced Liana.
3. Arora is queen.
4. Alistar is doing his own thing.
5. I didn't care what Hawks did. As long as his/her sister is alive.

Still, you shouldn't be punished if you want to dupe or not download the patch.

Why even play DAO and DA2.

Noiko, no, there are plenty of PC players that feel completely betrayed by EA and Bioware that are having to deal with absolutely no support for people with SLI configurations. Texture flickering and white fog being the main problems. Oh yeah, and some laptop users can't even start the game, but no biggie right, I mean banter bugs and dup exploits are obviously much more important right?

I think it's simply frostbite.
Amazing they released this for PS3 & 360 because the frostbite engine was tested on the WII-U and it was determined that it was just poor quality and performance. Considering the WII-U's processor is much more capable than a 360 I just can't believe they went that route...
Ok that wasn't patch related technically but I do think the devs must be pulling their hair out right about now.
Imagine if you created a great game but it had some big flaws and your overlord masters said "release the kraken!" So you do. People complain and then you give them a fix, but the engine you're forced to work with won't corporate. Your overlord is pretty mad at this point and you do the best you can but it makes it worse...you'd be angry at yourself, your overlords, the hate mail, the false claims of grandeur would make you depressed. Then you'd close up and make 5 or 6 posts on the official forum and then disappear in a bar for a few days and wake up with someone who looks like Krem...sorry my imagination got the best of me.

Honestly I don't envy BW one bit, they put countless hours into this game, yet it still feels unfinished, it also looks like their patching and Q&A teams are understaffed, people have been moved onto other projects and fans from all sides are shouting at you "fix this, but don't fix that"... But srsly, BW, please fix the CTDs, load times and audio issues , but don't even touch the chest farming.

Except for the simple fact that corporations don't truly care about their fan base.  They do enough every now and then to convince you that they care... But only if you pay for their games or other merchandise.

Just like what happened to DA2, I was half tempted not to even get DA:I for the simple fact that they have scrapped dlc and other stuff and might do it again.  All because the teams got pulled to work on other projects...
