anyone know how i can delete this patch on the xbox one? the game seems to have auto-patched itself and w/o the dupe glitch I have no desire or reason to play this game anymore.
I haven't loaded 2 out of 3 of my characters yet, so i'm hoping those saves are ok still.
Please Bioware, either add the dupe back or give us a merchant that can carry all the materials in game (i don't care how expensive dragon mats would be, just allow me to buy them and outfit my team)
...Really wishing I had bought windows for my Mac and then bought the PC version instead.
Actually things aren't different here on PC land... banter went from low to zero, NPCs repeat dialogues, textures take several minutes to load when you load a save in Skyhold, Knight Enchanter blade appears only when it wants, ah and one new I noticed yesterday: Having a scene after a quest finishing a little abruptly, then you load only to discover that for some reason 2~3 scenes didn't fired up ![]()
Only positive aspect is that there are already modding tools for the PC, so modders are already looking into the banter issue. It will be once more a case of modders saving a game for free since the company that released it is too incompetent to solve problems >.<
I'm playing on the ps4. The only problems I had before the patch were Solas' third quest not triggering, couldn't go past 20/21 in the exalted plains, couldn't finish the mosaics, had to kill 11 dragons to get the Dragon's Bane achievement and couldn't get On Burning Wings if Morrigan drank from the you know what. Oh right, and the elf arms issue.
After the patch I also have zero banter in the Western Approach, sometimes during cutscenes some voices sound like they are trying to talk through static, Varric's legs are fixed (thought the dancing was cute tbh), also getting what the person above me is with background chatter repeating a lot more and some of it is really loud and I'm experiencing more lag. Oh right again, Krem is sitting (that makes me kinda sad).
I'd try to find out if Solas' quest will trigger now and whether or not I can finish exalted plains, but I have no desire after encountering the Western approach zero banter bug. So I'll shelve the game until they fix this issue.
I didn't use any exploits, but that was because I didn't know they existed until recently. I've no interest in grinding for mats in this game, so crafting is rather tedious. I end up just finishing the game in purples and blues.
Hopefully they will fix the banter in Western approach and obviously all the other bugs that people are experiencing that won't even let them play the game.
EDIT: It seems I was mistaken about the banter in the Western approach, at least for me. I tested every other location and banter would fire after about 10-15 minutes. Decided to check the Western approach once more and outside of comments about the environment and/or quests I had one banter between Blackwall and Sera after about an hour. I had only tried for 30 minutes before so I assumed I had zero banter, but I was mistaken.
I refuse your "patch". Fix your damn game before you start removing the few things that actually make replaying bearable. This patch fixes nothing of value, introduces new bugs and removes the replayability and as such is coming nowhere near my game.
All the while you continue to ignore everyone's complaints, offer no communication about the issues or at all, and just sit on your crap mountain thinking you did a good job.
I refuse.

I've finished the game already when it came out but had started another play through on xbox one and unfortunately I downloaded and installed the patch because I didn't know it had fixed the exploits and I really wanted to try out all of the other romances out in the game and finish my current play through at least but I simply can't get myself to play as much as a few minutes further like this, without the exploits, it becomes too boring, too tedious and all the fun is one now, so I've stopped the game and I wont be playing it anymore. That's it Bioware, thank you for ruining it for me, I LOVED this game, I enjoyed it so so much before that stupid patch.
So I started a new playthrough since Patch 3 and 4 went in, and I'm in a completely unplayable senario. It is absolutely impossible to enter the Crossroads in the Hinterlands when going to save Mother Giselle to continue the story. Doesn't matter from which direction I try to enter the Crossroads from (from the initial hill camp, from the Templar/Apostate fighting side -- going through the tunnel, coming down from the camp at the Lake, crossing through the Apostate area and coming in from the Redcliff side) the game crashes to desktop.... every single time. So yeah, Patch 3 and Patch 4 have caused more problems than solved, at this point, I would pull them back out and revert everyone back to Patch 2 and then try reworking Patch 3 and 4 with actual fixes instead of causing more bugs.
Has anyone even found a fix or work around to the PC user's 100% CPU usage when running this game? I can't even make it past the main menu on low settings without getting extreme stutter and lag, yet somehow my brother's GF can play the game on her PC that is slightly worse than mine without any problems.

So, I finished my first playthrough before this disaster of a patch, took 138 hours of game time with using the dupe exploit because I was doing everything, and spent a lot of time crafting to get everybody looking just right... and I absolutely loved it. I was planning on playing through a few more times to see all the differences in racial and class dialog, check out the different romances, and all those plot altering decisions. However, with the new requirement of having to gather the copious ammounts of materials I need to craft my gear, I find it so tedious that I can't enjoy the game anymore.
Hopefully after enough of pointing out their failings, BioWare will admit they messed up and fix this mistake like with what had to happen after they botched ME3. That would be preferable to them giving us some self serving cop out of how the duping exploit "doesn't fit their vision" of how the game should be played like so many other companies would do to avoid admitting they made a mistke. If they don't correct this issue, I simply won't play the game anymore. Not a big deal to them really, I mean they already got my money so why bother, right? I will also not purchase another BioWare title, which in turn means no more EA titles for me either since I don't play Battlefield or ANY sports games. I know one consumer lost doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but I'm stubborn and it'll make me feel better.
I can't speak for PC players but have you tried lowering the priority?
I have literally tried every fix I could find on the forums, asking around on EA help and Reddit, and having only very minor improvements. My system has faced worse demanding games, and I've made changes and upgrades to it and the game file, overclocking my CPU, getting a new graphics card, running only Dragon age with no background programs, turning it on and off as well as uninstalling and installing, and turning off Origin ingame and overlay. The only thing I have not tried is switching from Windows 7 (which is stated should be able to run DA:I) to Windows 8.1, and I'm not willing to spend over $100 for a solution that may not even fix my one problem.
Don't get me wrong I am an absolute Bioware fanatic, ever since I've played KOTOR back in like... 2006 I think is when I started? I loved SWTOR, the Witcher, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age series. I am just absolutely frustrated that this game, the one I'm so hyped about, is the only game I have in all of my hard drive that is giving me this much trouble. I meet the requirements PC-build wise, but something is just sucking up all of my CPU usage.
Removing the dupe glitch really killed my love for the game... I want to go back but it's so tedious... ![]()
Why fix the dupe cheat when the more important Mosaic piece glitch hasn't been fixed? I have all Mosaic pieces but the one stuck in the middle of a mountain.
Are you on PC?

i had this problem after the patch (xbox 360/pc): after leave skyhold and "teleport" to a camp, my party members arrives with 50% health (sometimes only one member)..
- banter has gone from ok (some companions were way more chatty than others) to basically zero
Why would anyone ever remove the one thing, that added more replay value to the game? I enjoy the game greatly, I played and finished it the first time without resorting to any cheats or exploits. I was planning to play and finish the game multiple times, like I did before with Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2. The Dupe exploit was always a huge time saver. Heck, to me it was a great feature since Origins, to make subsqequent playthroughs actually more enjoyable, because it allowed me to experiment more.
Now after my 2nd playthrough of Inquisition, I don't know if I'll bother any more, because finishing the game, while farming for the needed materials, would just take too long.
Still refuse to download this patch on X1. If I want to play DA:I, I simply go offline and fire it up.

Yeah the moment I saw it wasn't working after the patch I quit and haven't played since.
