On PS4 the game now locks up/freezes during the "Becoming Inquisitor" Scene when you first arrive at Skyhold. This only happened after the last patch.

"Hey you players were pushing us to fix glitches and now we did. Next time be careful what you ask for".
Like I said before, if you want to show that it's a big enough issue then make a hashtag and get it trending on their account. BW might say they follow the forum but, being passive aggressive we know they don't. Getting it trending will force them to acknowledge that players do care.

What's up with this thread?
Last response was 5 days ago claiming we're posting too much for them to read, except they created this in order for them to read things and respond.
They're probably waiting for the modders to solve the banter problem so they can release a patch fixing some minor thing and pretend they solved the banter themselves.

My dad died last month and Inquisition has been a lifesaver, it really has. I don't want to complain about the game because of how much it now means to me. But dammit, this 'fix' has seriously removed one of the most enjoyable aspects for me, as I'm a weirdo and would rather craft than quest.
I am terribly sorry for your loss... :C (I know this wasn't supposed to be a general discussion thread, just felt I had to say it...)
Also, I've said it before, I'll say it again; I agree 100% about the dupe glitch. Still haven't downloaded the patch.

Does anyone know of a way on PS4 (I am sure it would work similarly on X1) to play through the game with no patching?
I have uninstalled and re-installed the game clean and paused/deleted the auto update.
The issue I'm running in to is I cannot be online without the update. Now, I could play offline without the update... however that would mean (as far as I can tell) that I cannot download my DA world from the DA Keep.
Does anyone know if it is possible to still get your DA world downloaded into your game and then play "offline" after that download so I can not deal with the update/patch?
Thank you in advance!

How can a patch ruin the main quest if it was meant to fix other issues is... confusing as hell... ![]()

Most likely not. Your save would be for ver 1.4, to get rid of the patch you'd have to uninstall the game and then not download the patch, and then the game will tell you that versions don't match.
Simply put, you're screwed. Either you won't be able to load a Keep state or you have to play with the patch.

Can't be done, as I said in one of my earlier posts they need to release a downloadable version of the Keep to PC and Platforms and allow the players the ability to create the custom world states without having to be online in order to access the DA Keep. This way players can uninstall their messed up patch and leave it out so as not to loose the things the player felt made the game fun, enjoyable or added massive replayability.

Exactly 100% correct, can't say it any simpler than this.
On a side note, this recent patch is a definitive acknowledgement by BW that they hired a ton of those SOE (EverQuest) lame game devs. Always can count on a SOE dev to break the things that work and make the game fun in an attempt to constantly screw over the players.

I agree however other than determining if its Alistair stroud or loghain and hawkes sex world state hasn't really had a significant affect on the game. I've been disappointed in how little impact world state has had on the game so I'll sacrifice that to not to have the patch
The custom world save for me was a huge advantage of being able to keep the majority of my DAO, DAA (and other add ons), DA2 decisions that majorily impacted the story the way I wanted to play it out. Now I can see if you never played the first 2 games how the DA Keep custom save doesn't overly play into your story experience, but to the long time fans of the DA series, being forced to have crappy game patches in order to load a custom save is highly counter intuitive for business.
With that said, I can definitely say this is the last DA game and possibly last BW created game I will ever support - unless they roll back this mess, fix the problems they created, leave the reasons for replayability (duping glitch among others), and give us a way of generating custom world states that does not require us to be online and accept a screwed up patch that breaks the game more every time I turn around.

They won't do that, since then pirates could use it. DA Keep is one of the incentives to buy the game.
(If you can change your world state by using cheat engine or other tools, I retract my statement.)

now that you have SO CALL'ed patched the dup glitch perhaps you would be so kind as to add the resources the dup glitch gave to allow the creation of armors and such, there are NOT enough resources without the dup glitch as if you didnt know. But since you continue to destroy the dragon age experience you should at least consider the lack of resources before you muck around with crappy patches, in DA 2 at the mages and rouges were good fighters, in dai they are but a joke no way I'm the only one who feels this way, also the crappy armors you provide through out the game are just that crappy now that you have bound the hands of players the least you idiots can do is provide us with the ability to find the resources you have deny'ed us with the dup glitch fix. Take it that's not my concern i complain of the lack of ability to locate resources with out it such as dragons blood or the pure dragons blood also the fade touched materials must we spend hours and days to find these things when the high dragons are gone where do you go how do you create something of armor from nothing or rune stone that require what is no longer there you people are ruining this. PS at least in DA 2 the mages and rouges fault well big deal the rouges can dive but cannot defend the mages stand and also do not defend as in da 2 at least there the would hit the enemy with there staff and not simply stand as a helpless target, I suppose we fans will wait 6 months for you to get your heads out of your arses and tend the problem till then i guess we will continue to play with utter disappointment thanks for NOT........360 console.

Thank you. It's been pretty sucky but luckily I've had Inquisition to help me through the bad days. Nothing like good escapism.I am terribly sorry for your loss... :C (I know this wasn't supposed to be a general discussion thread, just felt I had to say it...)
While I'm here, just some thoughts I've been having about the thread. I do think it's important, however frustrated we are as consumers, to try and be polite and articulate in our comments here. Acting bratty is simply unhelpful. We need to remember that the people working on this game are real, with lives and feelings. Keep in mind that a) people aren't usually overly inclined to help those who insult them and b ) the developers are probably even more frustrated than us, as they have to actually get the damn thing to work as their full time job, which must be pretty stressful. I seriously doubt that this is some conspiracy to ruin our fun. Maybe I'm feeling overly emphatic, but we don't know anything about these people and I feel bad for them.

A couple of things re the patch on PS4
There is now an issue with leaving the Grand Ballroom for the Vestibule in Wicked Hearts. When in the Ballroom at the door to the Vestibule, sometimes the X is for the Vestibule, but if you move a bit to the right, the X says Grand Ballroom. If you click Grand Ballroom, the room you're already in, by mistake it can glitch, especially when you're supposed to go talk to Leliana after being introduced to Celene. If you make sure to hit the right X, you're alright, but otherwsie at the very least, you're looking at a very long load time. Not sure why I'm suddenly seeing the X from the wrong side of the "door". Never had a problem with this part pre-patch.
Also, I had some banter issues pre-patch, but then banter returned (after I deleted a character, so maybe that was why?). Siince the patch, I've played about 20 hours and have 3 or fewer banters (although I do get environmental comments). Doesn't seem to matter where I am - Hinterlands, Emerald Graves, Exalted Plains, Crestwood, etc. - eerily quiet. Tried mixing up my party, hanging out doing nothing (so exciting!), etc., but nothing seems to get my folks - primarily Cass, Solas and Cole - to talk. Pre-patch in the current playthrough I had decent banter, maybe not firing as much as I would like, but at least firing occasionally. Now I'm back to eery quiet, it's kind of creepy.

Apologies if I'm not posting in the correct forum.
The DA:I feb-2015 patch for Xbox 360 has resulted in glitches & problems I've never had before and, while sometimes hilarious, it's ruining the game experience. (I'm on my third play-through and these problems didn't arise previously).
The graphics are now terrible (no definition of faces in many cutscenes or in person-to-person chats; hair & beards super shiny; facial hair missing or in the wrong place on the face) and loads very gradually. Characters regularly speak 2 lines simultaneously and I get the long periods of time between lines & little background sound. This was not a problem for me prior to the most recent patch. Is there some setting I can change to fix the quality of the image? (I realise I can't delete the patch and continue with my saved, pre-patched games, which in itself is an annoying feature).
Also, I'm still experiencing a couple of minor glitches that I thought maybe this patch would fix. In particular, when NPCs speak to me outside of the Haven / Skyhold the speech options are greyed out no matter if I'm bouncing around pressing 'A' to initiate speaking options, positioning myself right next to the talking character, or pressing no keys at all. It's very frustrating!
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I also have the totally broken banter now with the latest patch for the PC. As I wait for the next patch, I started a new game to prep my next character for a playthrough. The beginning is awesome, so I continued to play for about 3 hours. Once I got the party to the hinterlands, I was getting banter every 10-15 minutes. I loaded up my old playthrough, no banter, switched back and instant banter. Still an inconclusive test, but it seems the fix broke the banter for my current games but fixed it for new.
