10 years for a sequel to be completed is unacceptable, EA employees and more importantly the big wigs that run it, need their money when they need it... which is every time they say "Show me the money!" to their accountants. :)

First off I want to say I spent hours and hours playing inquisition but stopped all together after patch 3. I used the infinite money and material exploit and I just can't play the game anymore. I can't stand the idea of spending all my time mining resources and I just can't play it anymore. I strongly beg the people at Bioware to bring the exploit back into the game. I just can't keep playing DAI without it.

I'm glad i never heard of this exploit until now, as that probably would have killed my interest in playing it too until i forgot how to do it. (happened in Skyrim with the smithing/potion/enchanting/amulet trick).

The 3 day weekend allowed me more solid time with Dragon Age: Inquisition with Patch 4 on PS4.

- I resumed a playthrough which had just completed the prologue and war table conversation and opened The Hinterlands but did not travel there yet.  I have now gotten the inquisitor to LVL 9.  I have gotten, I would guess, 75% of Hinterlands and 50% of Storm Coast explored. I have progressed in the story line where I can choose between The Templars or Mages (however I have not yet visited Redcliffe itself).  I can account for ONLY 1 banter exchange (between Iron Bull and Solas - comments about "clunky" mage abilities) which occurred.  There are still passing comments such as Cassandra talking about the Chaos between mages and templars.  Blackwall talking about sea. But only that one exchange.

- Since LVL 6 I have run into enemies that I believe should not be available yet.  Venatori and Red Templars in Hinterlands.  And after killing the first group that I encountered, one of my companions said "I wonder what Corypheus has them searching for."  Technically speaking, no one knows who Corypheus is yet because he has not been introduced in the story.

- There have also been a huge amount of Lyrium Smugglers (LVL 9) all over the Southern portion of Hinterlands near the Mercenary Castle (this castle gives you the key to Valammar).  Always in 3 or 4s.  In fact, I had a wild experience down there trying to do the Rift there (LVL 12) and as soon as the Rift was closed, I had a Smuggler unstealth and drop me.  And over in the distance I saw 3 Venatori attacking a Bear.

Just some feedback.

Thanks!

If someone crafted a new shield post Patch 3, it wouldn't be viable regardless of what mats you used.  The stats were either at zero or in the negatives (one poor guy had all his stats at -300% with zero armor rating, as I saw from his screenshot) and they didn't function in combat at all.   I had been thinking about rolling up a tank until I heard about that.  I waited until after that problem was fixed to start my warrior.  That's what Allan was referring to.   :)

I can't be the only person who actually enjoy gathering crafting materials...

It's so nice to just stop and enjoy the scenery :3

(Not being sarcastic, I really like it)

played some more on my unpatched inquisition, runs great (I think early performance issues were nvidia driver related).

Good performance.

Regular banter.

No crashes in game.

So what have been trying to fix or break rather in these 4 patches?

The stuff that I have been affected by.

Solas quest (had to keep reloading to get it to work properly) - fixed by bioware in patch

Lilliana quest, after I did fade, I had no quest of her, but then I Reloaded the save for another reason, and her quest started, so seemed glitched first time?

Ability rings.

Glitchy animations on some stuff in skyhold.

Crashes on title screen menu (stopped since I started playing offline tho, so I guess online related) - fixed by bioware in patch

Slow loading times when changing characters in inventory and character ability screens.

Occasionally is lag from when I pick up plant/material and before it displays message.

Of the above only 2 I am aware of have been fixed in patches.  On the new patch 4 my working banter became broken, and visuals were downgraded.  The resource system also became broken when duping got blocked.  So what am I missing, seems 1.0 beats patch4?

You aren't the only person that likes it. The game would be ruined for me if there was just an Easy Win button I could press. You never know what else you might find when you wander toward one of the scattered nodes.

Lousy materials that get outgraded by tier 3 and tier 4 materials? Right... Nope, I preferred the item dupe exactly because I didn't have to use the lousy materials who give us weaker stats.

Well, my game just got auto-updated without my consent, I'm scrapping the niceties with my further contributions to this discussion.

Seriously, I had auto-updates disabled, I had the specific update paused, and when I wake up to check my console, I find it installed 1.04 at 5:45 AM without my permission. I understand if Bioware wants us to have specific features enabled or disabled if we play online, but if I'm playing by myself, offline, CAN I NOT CHOOSE WHICH PATCHES I USE!?

I just want to revert my game to a patch that worked exactly as intended for my game, but unfortunately that is not an option at the moment. If I don't have the ability to play this game the way I want, without automated processes beyond my control breaking things regardless of my input, I refuse to play this game any longer.

120 hours in, and my game is now broken in such a way I do not approve of: I want it fixed, or I refuse to indulge the creators and maintainers of it that won't let me use the products I purchase in the way I so choose.

PS4's PSN plus account does that.

Put me down as one of those XBox One users who are now unable to complete Under Her Skin. I was previously able to, but now when I attempt to enter Vicinius' home, the game quits.

Banter now seems a lot more sparse. Not non-existent, but more difficult to trigger.

I have already completed the game and I see 0 reason for me to even care.

Is this an MMO? Why is there a beta for a patch?

The performance and bugs of this game are already in beta phase.

Don't get me wrong I like DAI but I really don't feel like there is a reason for me to bother to patch. I will uninstall the game and keep my valuable hard drive space.

Even without PS Plus PS4 donwloads automatically new updates, you can only pause them (or stay offline forever, because you can't cancel them). Disabling auto-updates works only when the console is in standby, IIRC.

I guess the new firmware update that happened a few days ago forced other downloads to happen as well.

I've spent 145 hours on the game and reach level 19.  I'm about the start the second to last Inquisition mission and the game is now unplayable.  I receive constant driver errors and have to use task manager to shut down the game as it hangs persistently and inconsistently in cut scenes.  That's the worst type of problem to try and fix.

To be honest, this doesn't reflect well on the internal support or Q&A services in place.

Yes, to both of you, however I had that function disabled in my settings, which is why the automatic update being downloaded and installed overnight is so distressing. I had no control over my files being meddled with.

I have had two separate conversations with EA's customer support this evening and am awaiting an e-mail from them, which I am told will allow me to download a specific patch, provided I uninstall everything pertaining to Inquisition and re-install: their advice also amounted to 'don't automatically update', which I most certainly intend to, provided it is within my power.

So, a few issues I've noticed since the patch. I can't remember if I had created this character just before or just after the patch. I THINK just after. So far on this play through these are the issues I've seen come up.

While still in Haven Blackwall calls my Herald, Inquisitor.

On obtaining both Sera and Blackwall neither have their base weapons and armor they should come with. When able to select your party after immediately getting them and either add them or keep the party you already had I kept what I already had. Not sure if that somehow changes/glitches whether their armor/weapons show up or not.

Vivianne asked me a question when I first speak to her in Haven and the answers given for me to select don't pertain to her question. I'm sorry I don't recall the dialogue I just know from my 4 previous play through's that they didn't match up. Luckily I knew which one to pick to win some approval points from her.

- And for some reason party banter on this character seems worse than the others I have going. Like almost completely non-existent. I've made it to lvl 9 and have had maybe less than 5. Outside the typical "bandits ahead" or whatever. I was actually excited last night when they started to banter but another NPC cut them off so I didn't even get to hear the end of it! :/

- On one of my other characters created pre-patch 4. I had the Grand Ballroom/Vestibule bug that other folks are experiencing too.

- Also after completing "Well, ****" the wicked grace scene never happens. Varric asks if I want to play but no cut scene. I'm just spit back into the main hall. I really wanted to see that scene too!

EDITED to add. I also got the door bug while doing Champions of the Just, between the main hall and the lieutenants quarters.

It seems like that getting conversations related to the plot too early is a common bug.  I mentioned it in a previous post, happening with Varric in my first conversation with him in Haven.  The banter was also very quiet for me early on, but it did pick up after I got to Skyhold.

This is something I've noticed too, the only way to get their initial weapons and armors is to add them to the party immediately upon recruiting .

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this. I hope it is.

Since playing Inquisition on ps3 I have had absolutely no problems. No bugs, no glitches it just ran really smoothly. I started a new playthrough and Patch 4 got downloaded automatically. Again had no trouble until I got the quest Address the Chantry in Val Royeaux. Now when I confirm I want to do the quest, the game takes forever loading on the picture cards sequence and when it finally does switch to the black screen with green Inquisitor loading symbol, the game crashes back to the ps3 home screen.

I have no idea whether this is because of the new patch, but honestly I can't think of anything else it could be caused by. Like I said, had absolutely no problems what's so ever until now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
