@BioWare: Is there any chance the multiGPU-issues will be fixed in an upcoming patch? I'm referring to the opaque smoke issue, and the occasional flickering textures (like the moon).

Since both nVidia and AMD setups are affected by it I'm assuming it's BioWare's responsibility to correct this.

Sure I do. I've played the game. I've played Origins. I've used the UI and tac cam in both albeit not often in either case. I have used keyboard and mouse and I've used the controller for DAI and both of them have their drawbacks and not in any case have any of the features you've complained about been 'broken' or rendered the game unplayable. You should ask for it to be improved not 'fixed.'

 

The fact that you think the tac cam being blocked by ceilings and rocks is normal says otherwise.

Dude, I know what I've downloaded. Patch 4 fixed only 2 issues - one of them was introduced in patch 3 and wasn't present in the game before (armor value of crafted shields) and second of them should have been fixed by patch 3 but wasn't and need a proper fix (the MP key drop). Sounds like a hotfix to me.

I am posting here because I don't know where else to post. I can not log on to Origin so hence I can't play DAI. Tried to log on to EA tech. support, no go. I can log on here but thats it. Has anyone the same problem? Is there a way to play DAI without loging on to Origin? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Not without using shady means. If you haven't tried, I would uninstall Origin, delete everything related from every possible folder (%appdata%, %temp%, etc), with CCleaner clean up the registry and then install Origin again. But I am not sure if you would have to reinstall DAI as well.

1. The game is still crashing too much. Black screens, white screens, CTD with no errors. This game has major stability issues.

2. In regards to "balance" changes that may be upcoming, I have a pretty big problem with what they might be.

During the live stream from bioware, both times the developers played on routine difficulty and only a bit of threatening. Based on that information it doesn't seem like they play their own multiplayer much. How can they understand what needs to be balanced in multiplayer if nobody at bioware plays the most difficult game mode?

So patch 4 should be coming out for consoles "sometime next week", but what about patch 3?

 

PS4 player here and I am not aware that we have had patch 3 yet...

Yeah, I think there's just something about needing to completely increment the number from a data stand point, so it's easiest to simply say "it's patch 4" rather than communicating that it's "Patch 3 hotfix" while the patch data actually says "Patch 4."  It'd end up confusing because visible "Patch 4" would be tracked internally as "Patch 5" and guaranteed someone will make a mistake and get confused!

 

I don't have any news on patch 5 at this time unfortunately. I'll touch base to see if we can at least get a timeline on when we're able to get more information for that.

 

I'm just wondering if anyone else has reported a substantial number of CTDs after last two patches. I'm getting a CTD every 20 minutes when I transition to a new map or area. I'm running 2 GTX 980's in SLI with latest drivers.

 

Is there something I should be doing to minimize this? It occurs in both MP and SP mode.

Be glad you are are skipping our patch 3 You'll get patch 3 + patch 4 together (patch 4 = hotfix for patch 3). Btw if you want to dupe some crafting materials, do so now, it is not possible after the patch.

I got to level 20 and the achievement didn't even unlock! 120 hours of playing on Nightmare carefully getting the achievements and yet they dont all unlock!?

Both bugs happened to me as well, on PC. I know this is not a perfect solution, but you can try it if you don't want to wait for a fix that may not come for some time. I found out about the first one when I was lvl 22. Luckily I had a save like 2k XP before lvl 20, reloaded it and did things slighty differently (closed a rift instead of finishing a quest, or something like that) and got the achievement.

 

Dragons' Bane is more problematic, for some players only 1 dragon doesn't count (usually the one in Crestwood, don't know why), for some players even 5 of them don't count. Again, not a perfect solution, but if you have some earlier saves, you can keep killing 1 dragon repeatedly till you got the achievement (I'd suggest taking Sera and Cole for this, tier 3 Thousand Cuts + Mark of Doom can overkill any dragon on any difficulty).

Reloaded a save before i even entered the temple and i was still level 20 :s I even went inside the temple again and unlocked the door again to make sure i did load back a different saved game. I was thinking it maybe Inquisition lvl 20, and not Inquisitor lvl 20?  PC also.. Now i see you syaing Dragons Bane too.. That sucks, cuz im 2 dragons away, and im at 175 hours on my 1st playthrough!

just fix the CPU hovering at 85% and spikes to 100% and lag the game every now and then ..

Nope, it is Inquisitor's lvl 20. And not just those 2 achievements are bugged, but these 2 are bugged often. Also a sidenote, I didn't get the one for killing 2500 demons. I closed all the rifts, cleared out every zone, so I guess that one is supposed to be completed on second playthrough (for all I know it can be bugged as well, I really don't know why Origin can't show the exact achievement progress).

 

Without you having save files prior to lvl 20 I unfortunately can't help you Well, there is a possibility I could help you Rizilliant by sending you my save files (one before a dragon you can kill repeatedly and one just before lvl 20). But I don't know if it wouldn't mess up some of your other achievements or if you would be able to load those files at all (since I could have different DLCs and I am not sure about compatibility).

I'm not on PC I'm on the Xbox One. I've not hit 21 yet so im hoping it pops when i am. It's not inquisition level either.
