Oh look at me missing all the jokes again, hue/
It is better that you don't know. They might send fixers after you and that would kill the game for sure.
So how is the banter thing after 3 patches, sorry, 4-iV-four patches?

Deader than sliced bread. I don't think it was that bad even at release, when i first realized i have it.
Varric red lyrium quest not triggering anymore /= sad baby panda face

Well, it is quite easy, Skyrim sold like a gazillion of copies and way way more than DAO+DA2 combined, why make an expensive RPG game for a certain audience when you can make a game for much bigger audience? However it is a question if BW themselves wanted to go that route or if it was ordered to them by EA.
Also it makes perfect sense why these megacorporations are acting this way. More money for less effort. Just look at CoD for example, Activision can just copy paste their game mechanics and assets as long as they want and fanboys will still buy that piece of crap by millions each year.
Nevertheless, it is quite sad and in the case of DAI it has pissed me off the most so far. I'd like to believe some AAA developers still care at least a bit (I hope BW still care), but they have to obey their corporate leadership.
I used to trust Blizzard, then they released those jokes called Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. It left be with Bioware to trust. Not anymore since Mass Effect 3 ridiculous ending. But at least it was just the ending, the game was still nice as a whole.
It's a shame that making money with Pre-Orders of sequels of franchises that had a great first game became the rule in the industry. And tha hell with the quality, I've got my money already, right? Sad.

Thank God I'm having a lot of banter in my group. Iron Bull calling Viviene "Viv" and being lectured not to do so again was priceless.

Well, it seemed back then that BW cared. They responded to the backlash and released a free DLC, postponing their paid ones, not many companies would do that. Credit where credit's due. But yeah, it's hard to trust AAA game developers and publishers these days. Who is left? CD Projekt? We'll see after Witcher 3. Paradox? We'll see after Hearts of Iron 4. Valve? We'll see after HL3... oh wait ![]()
In order to keep the patch notes thread a bit easier to find information and be overall less intimidating for people just hoping to find the notes, we're going to separate the two. Please use this thread to discuss the patch for new issues, feedback, and so forth.
Patch 4 was just posted here and is currently available for the PC. We are working to have it available on the consoles next week.
Allan is there any ETA on the bugged ability rings not applying there bonuses as well as bleed on hit, bleed on being hit, +focus gain, +focus for each nearby enemy within 8 meters effects being fixed? These effects do nothing at all and they appear on allot of gear effectively making that gear useless.

Stagger on hit works but no floating text is displayed that the stun took place.

Fixed. Thanks. Usually there are so many spell effects and crap flying everywhere I mustn't have noticed the stuns lol.

Square Enix is releasing KHIII this year. They're my last hope...
People need to learn what a game is suposed to be. Lots of gamers here on this forum that have not the slightest common sense about consumer rights
Lemme stop you there. You waive all consumer rights in regards to functionality when you agree to the TOS in the installer that explicitly states that they do not have to guarantee the game even works. They also give you the opportunity to receive a full refund within the first 24 hours of launching if you downloaded online. If it's a physical copy you could have brought it back to the store.
You try to bring that to court, you'll get laughed out by a judge - and that's considering you even get to one with such a weak lawsuit premise. Just because you didn't read the agreement doesn't mean you aren't bound by its terms.
Well, after reading the seven pages of this thread, I've reached a conclusion: I miss the good old days when patches were downloadable separated files that you downloaded and executed yourself, applying only the ones that you wanted.
I also miss the days when we used to name "patch" only a file that would improve or fix your game.
And, last but not least, I miss the days when games used to be released more carefully.
I mean, we now have a multi-billionaire industry of gaming and the state of newly released games are getting worse and worse. It makes no sense at all.
People need to learn what a game is suposed to be. Lots of gamers here on this forum that have not the slightest common sense about consumer rights or what a RPG is and why people likes them. Banter not important? What do you play then, a button smashing game? I'm here for the story bro, and I would love to have the story along with a good gameplay mechanism. DA:O had that, why are BW reinventing the wheels with those crappy changes in DA:2 and now this pathetic excuse of a tactical cam in DA:I? I really can't understand what the problem with the developers messing up a perfect gameplay just to change it and say they created something new. You have created something WORSE. Waaaaay WORSE. That's what you did.
I miss the days when game developers gave a damn about their customers.
There are plenty who do, just have to be careful with AAA titles
Besides, the more money spent on indie titles, the better the future will be. These things take time, new companies have to grow in order to replace the old ones.
am i the only one who's have more issues with the game freezing up during cut-scenes since 'patch 4'?
Not at all, I quit playing because of it as did many others. This was the #1 killer for my MP experience along with falling off the game map. You just find peoples errors in many areas of the forums, so if you have an error be assured you are likely not alone.
Take care
So I am on PS3, just got a patch this morning that says patch and DLC. I have no idea what this patch is. All the patch notes I find are for PC, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what is going on. ![]()
Has anyone downloaded the patch for Xbox 360 yet? I played last night until 11pm and I saw nothing about the patch.

Is it the Destruction Multiplayer DLC? Or, perhaps the console systems just bundle patches and dlcs in the same category? I don't know, i don't own a console.

I got the option to install it today, didn't though, I don't wanna be torn from my beloved Duplication-glitch. xD

I am not sure what to do? My game has been fine so far on 360. Not sure I wanna chance it. Guess I'll wait and read others experiences.

Yeah, no major issues here either, which is why I chose the rather keep my beloved Dupe-glitch than install the patch. xD

Same here. Nothing will separate me from my Tier 4 duplicated equipment ![]()
*careful insert*.........Now bring back the glitch...? xD
Apologies for ignoring this thread so far. I'm getting a chance to look it over more thoroughly now that Patch 4 has gone live for all platforms. I appreciate everyone taking the time to respond thus far.
Now that patch 4 is live on xbox one, just get us some new dlc for multiplayer, matey ![]()

I installed the patch last night. Assuming the dupe glitch people are talking about is the selling items from valuables and buying back multiple copies - it doesn't appear to work anymore. It felt like there was less banter between the group too, but that may not be the case. I didn't notice anything majorly different, although my quest for Widris didn't work - he didn't appear
